  I really need HELP! I received the nugel.exe virus on my laptop. I have Windows XP and I was reading how to remove it. They told me to go to click on the Start button in it, then click on run. type msconfig and on the Startup tab, uncheck everything that ends with TSSD. Well, none of which ended in TSSD was there, so I was told everything that had an UNKNOWN manufacturer in buttons SERVICES and STARTUP uncheck. I restarted my computer and the NELSON was always there.  Then suddenly my computer shut down on its own and restarted with a screen that says now "Windows didn't start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\hal.dll .» Please reinstall a copy of the above file. "Does anyone know how to do this? I feel that I've dealt with the virus stupid for days and I'm going crazy! Can someone please help me solve what I did wrong? PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

  Looks like you have made incorrect changes in system configuration utility.

  See the Microsoft articles below to solve the problem by installing the recovery console and use the Bootcfg.exe tool to rebuild the Boot.ini file.

  First of all sorry for my English

  I have a laptop DV6541ev and since yesterday it won't turn.

  When I press the button power lights light up for less than one second, and then the computer turns off.

  Turns on the power indicator when the power cord is connected to the laptop.

  I tried the hard reset, remove insert ram but nothing happened.

  Unfortunately, my battery is 'dead' for a long time and I can't check if I can turn it on only the battery.

  With the inserted battery the laptop powers for a little more and then the power led on the front of the pc flashes constantly, and which means insufficient power, cause my battery died.

  Also in the past, the power adapter lose contact with the laptop and I had to escape the cord until the contact is stable.

  Could be a motherboard problem or a problem with the Ac Dc Jack?

  Have you tried to use the system restore. Changes to the system to cancel the system restore return your computer to a Restore Point previous. Open the box run (Windows key + R) and type rstrui.exe to open the system restore. Follow the proposed steps/Description.

  Recovery wipe data, Yes.

  If recovery option can access the OS (and your account), it may apply to you if you want to back up your data before recovery - should you be offered the option, say Yes.

  I'm not sure (given the odd circumstances) if there will be problems getting later for (backup) data.  But if asked, say that you want to backup.

  Good luck.

  

  Finally, when you get the computer working again, consider using history file to backup your data on an external drive.  History of the available files on Windows 8 and above.

  I have an old Compaq laptop of 2 years with an AMD Athlon x 2 chip.  I just added RAM (from 2 GB to 3 GB). Simply, it turns off after a while when I do intense things like games and disk imaging.   Amounts to the office this morning and when I pulled the top of Flash builder for PHP my desighn mode has been disabled. I can't do this at all. Any idea what might be going on here?
