  I don't know if it will work or not, but you can try:

  -Unplug the power adapter from the machine, and

  -Remove the battery from the machine, then

  -Press and hold the power button for maybe a minute or two.

  Then, connect the battery and the AC adapter and see if it will start again.  If it does press the key during startup to go into the BIOS and after you enter the BIOS, press to assign the default values.

  I am I think that the new BIOS must be set to default reset settings.

  2. Disable all passwords that are enabled
  3. If current password request - type the unlock code
  4. New password, simply press the ENTER key
  5. Repeat the same thing to check the password column.
  6. Then exit the BIOS saving & exit option to save the changes.

  Troubleshooting:

  Incase if the password does not work please try a Hard Reset as follows.

  1. Shut down the laptop
  2. Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery
  3. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds
  4. Plug the power supply/AC adapter (leave the battery for now) & start Notepad
  5. If now see you a password, please enter the same password I've shared before and press on enter

  After a few days of incredibly hot time, Compaq Mini 110 c 1020sl, my wife chose to stop working...

  I only had time to stop because he was no longer in charge the battery enough.

  I checked all the plugs, the power cord, the power, but it still does not start.

  The scenario is: power connected, I see the white light on and the power light. After pressing the power button, I hear the rotation of the disk, I see the wifi light on and I see the hard drive light flashes fast regularly but nothing happens. When I try to power power light starts flashing and hard drive stops spinning.

  Any ideas on how to proceed?

  I can retrieve data inside the hard drive, but then I don't know what I need to replace...

  Unfortunately, without the computer turn on there is no other choice for us to try here. The next step would be to have someone take a look. A local technician can test individual components, or you can call HP and send the laptop in for repairs. (If you are no longer under warranty it would be a burden.)
