  ix4s USB ports are for drives external, printer or connections UPS only (ix4 ports are host ports) and not for connecting another host (customer e.g.PC).

  My ix4 storage - 300 d cannot start - its not always goes to reboot. The display shows the logo, then the window with stick and 3 windows for a minute and after the restart with the same plan. Tried to do, hold RESET button with 1 min. (with hard drives and without them) nothing happens. Tried the upgrade to h4c - 4.0.8.23976 through memory stick (with hard drives and without them). Also tried to remove the markup on hard disks. Nothing helps. Give me please a few tips I can do more?

  There is no X 300 / X 305 or another laptop with OS that recognizes the full 4 GB 32-bit RAM.
  It s even with Vista 32 bit and 32-bit Windows XP. Both don t recognize the full 4 GB of RAM, normally about 3, 2 GB of RAM.

  So if you want the full 4 GB of RAM, you need a 64 bit OS. There's no other way.

  Are already in the forum discussion on this topic so you can search a little.

  If you have problems with the 64 bit OS, you can do a system dual boot with Vista 64 bit and 32 bit Vista for example.

  Go to your configuration and see which drive is for each port; 1,2,3,4...

  Then go to the Device Manager and look at how many SATA controller you have and how many ports for each, then start count from 0 to IdePort0, 1, 2, etc. for each SATA controller, so if you have 4 ports for each SATA controller, here is how you came from:

  Hi, first time user here. I do a LOT of pictures like "gimmies" for friends and family, especially around the holidays. My computer just planted a fit recently and don't let me NOT look at my photos. I can download them and see the photos, but as soon as I try to click again to revisit, I get the following message: HP Media Smart Photo main program has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. (Apparently it wasn't available yet!)  I tried all that I know, which isn't much I admit. I have a Geek Squad coverage but it's Christmas and they cannot get me to more important things - such as the installation of new sales. It's okay I bought two from them in two years. Lightning struck an and now I can not see pictures or do anything with photos on it. (Which means I can't order some presents that involves photos stored on THIS computer.)   The first thing I would try is to use Recovery Manager to reinstall HP MediaSmart Photo - the procedure to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  After reinstallation is complete, restart the PC.

  When windows has completely recharged, open HP MediaSmart Photo and give it a few minutes to index all your photos again and then check if it opens correctly now.

• WRT160N performance using the adapter G

  IM about to buy a new router and stores near my place are all embellished wireless routers N. Im planning to get the WRT160N, but the problem is that my laptop has wireless g adapter.

  So my question is how will performance be since the adapter/router combo is different? I know that I will have no gain, but it's going as good N Router work a G router would be on a G adapter?

  If your laptop has a built-in wireless card so its only going to get 54 Mbps. If you have a Wireless N router you will need to get a Wireless N adapter in order to reach up to 300 Mbit/s speeds.

  You may need to configure the router from N to B & G in wireless mode settings. This can frustrate the point in getting a N.
  Given the low cost of wireless adapters can be better to upgrade both at the same time and ensure compatibility and performance (perhaps).

  However, the two will work together.

• USB back attach an android for a Windows 7 laptop

  There are a number of articles describing how reverse USB attached Android device on a PC with an internet connection.

  We have configured with success of the approach based on the inverse tie using a device rooted with a tablet of gen Nexux 7 USB 2.

  the problem we have is that if the nexus can Pinger the PC, we cannot ping the tablet to the PC.

  I thought that, once you have a network interface on a device, all traffic on that subnet would automatically get shipped down the appropriate network card, and therefore as the USB device is on the same subnet as the attached device remote, reverse, it's trivial to network packets to be sent to the bottom of this card.

  However, that seems not to be the case and we cannot connect PC to the card.  We cannot ping android from the pc.  the command line to see which way the network request will also appear to hang.

  I guess that there something more at the network level, finding himself in game due to the internet connection sharing.  In fact, we want to only communicate between android and the pc, so the Tablet is not obliged to communicate beyond the PC.

  So the questions are I guess:

  With a device rooted, configured with USB remote modem, using the Microsoft RNDIS drivers from the internet is there no fundamental reason so that the PC can not communicate to the bottom of the connection to the Tablet?

  Is there a configuration additional requirements for the PC such as adding an order of road to direct traffic to the bottom of the USB interface attached?

• BlackBerry smartphones to find a Blackberry lost using headphones?

  I lost my Blackberry Pearl 8130. I just paired my H700 headset with this phone. I had Verizon temporarily disable the service for my phone, so I can't call to make it ring, but I can use my H700 to find... Or so I thought.

  I would have lost in one of the 5 places:

  4 car of my coworker/carpool buddy

  Using the bluetooth, I wasn't able to get the usual answer to "Say a command" but a beep up to what I had in my colleague's car this morning when it's finally "say a command" when we were on our way to work about 200-300 feet from my apartment complex. The strange part is that when I searched under the passenger seat on arrival at the car park and could not find, I tried the H700 and I only got a beep. So my question is:

  If my H700 is only associated with this particular phone, is it more likely that the phone is always in my colleague's car? If so, why it only beep when we got to the lot of carpooling as opposed to on the road about 200-300 feet from my apartment complex?

  I found it in my colleague's car...

  Find it, it wasn't just under the passenger seat. He was under the seat and had slipped into this strange plastic piping/conduit under the seat where you couldn't see it or feel it. When my colleague gave me after work I got a flashlight and took a look in the plastic/conduit pipe and of course he was there. I've fished with a metal hanger and the rest is history.

  If-, the moral of this story is that you can really use a paired Bluetooth headset to isolate a lost BlackBerry as much as you can cut it down to a handful of choice.

  But what I want to know: I might consider commissioning with 2 drives in RAID-1 and later on the road buy a 3rd drive to upgrade my RAID-5.

  Is this possible on the fly, which means that I can just put in the drive of the 3rd, and I can upgrade to RAID-5 without data loss?

  (Yes, I would definitely have a backup before doing this, but I want to go create a new RAID-5 and have the backup copy of the backup data)

  And I'll be able to upgrade my drive later RAID-5 3-4 drives?

  Sorry, but I think there is no way to change the RAID level "on the fly"...

  That means backup your data, Notes users and their share of privileges etc. better as all you network configuration and start from scratch.
