  The General work to enter the Security menu, change the password (enter the unlock code you had if you are prompted to enter the password), simply press the Enter key instead of a new password, save and exit.

  I understand that you are interested in upgrading the processor and graphics card on your laptop, is that correct? I will try and provide you with information that needed to get there.

  The processor can be improved in this particular notebook. If you go to page 91 in the maintenance manual , it will give you a list of processors and it will show you the steps to do it yourself. I don't know what your current status of security with this laptop, but if you are still covered the upgrade of the processor warranty this I just want you to be aware.

  Now and then when you're dealing with the graphics card it is soldered to the motherboard if you will not be able to update. If you really want to improve the graphics, as you go through the motherboard. There is a list of those on page 81 in the owner's manual as well.

  I recently came across a problem with my laptop Compaq Presario CQ42-117TX. I had a few regular updates installed and when I tried to restart the computer to complete the update, it starts for a long time then usual before flashing a blue screen for a second and then blacking out.

  When I restarted it again, he said he had no hard drive detected. I ran a check of the system BIOS and he could not run a quick test on the hard drive.
