  I have a NI 9871 RS485 module on an ethernet 9148 RIO.

  I have also a laptop and a cRIO 9073.

  I can access each of the 9871 serial ports on the computer but not the 9073.

  When you try to access it from the cRIO, I get error:-1073807192, VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF00A8) is denied access to the resource or to the remote machine. This is due to the lack of sufficient privileges for the current user or the machine.

  Hi Woss,

  It is possible that your RIO Ethernet has some parameters of active access which is to prohibit the connection to serial ports.  You can change these settings in a position and Automation Explorer (MAX) for your device by going to the device under remote systems, expanding the category of software under it and choosing NI-VISA.  There will be a tab in the right pane of MAX called Options of VISA.  In this tab, select Server VISA > security to access these settings.

  From there, you should be able to add the IP address of the RIO device that needs to access the VISA on the RIO Ethernet server.  Once you have changed these settings, just click on register at the top of the window and allow the unit to restart.  Let me know if that helps!

  I recommend that you install the latest Wlan driver for the wireless network adapter.
  Also reinstall the VAP (value added package) that controls the Wlan/turn off the feature.

  Just a stupid crazy thought - could work with limits.

  Use "Hard Cover / dust jacket" (images print on the cover with this option? Anyone know?)

  Rotate images 180degrees. (Text would need to be incorporated into the image)

  Remove and replace the cover "upside-down".

  1 location: In the Finder, click go > go to folder > ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

  Situation 2: Go > go to folder > ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe

  Location 3: Documents > Adobe

  Everywhere, rename the folders 'Adobe' to 'OldAdobe '.

  Launch the first, accept the license agreement and see if it works.

  Note: You will lose your customized workspaces and keyboard shortcuts.

  The problem seems to have been fixed. When I checked to make sure that all the other modules are accessible, Lightroom 4 quit, rebooted and then checked something - "power point curves", went through a kind of internal procedure, after having whiuch the problem no longer existed. The error message was: "an error occurred when attempting to change modules." I decided to respond this way in case somebody stumbles into that.

  Basically, I need to simulate a cRIO device without yet having equipment on-site, like this:

  Instead, I only get the options presented in the attachment "Add Target Options.jpg.  I guess it's because of missing drivers, which I assume is due to an error that I made during a recent new LV installation installation went like this: I downloaded (not diskettes) and installed the following (in this order, the latest versions all around):

  (1) LabView development system

  (2) real-time module

  (3) FPGA module

  (4) NEITHER-RIO (previous installation-by-installation)

  (5) DAQmx

  At the end of (1) and (2), I got the screen shown in the second attachment ("Drivers Installer Message.jpg"), but could not able to recognize the folder "device drivers OR" (I also downloaded), or one of its subfolders.

  According to me, I'm missing an obvious option to load the necessary drivers after installation, but can't seem to find reference to it in the forums.  Could someone give me a little help in the right direction?

  The TPM module (trusted platform module module) configuration is done in the BIOS Setup program, and this feature is available only with certain models.

  Depends on the FSB (front side bus)
  If the FSB supports 800 Mhz then you can take 800 Mhz modules and modules will take place also at that speed.

  But if the FSB doesn't supports this speed so your modules will run more slowly.

  Install equipment such as diagnostic tool * Everest Home Edition * and check that your laptop support ;) FSB

  No you can not do. But you can download and install Labview 2009 and module RT 2009 Trail for 30 days.

  You cannot create the merge modules in CVI, but you can consume merge modules in our distribution Builder. Normally, if you were to create a merge module, create you the merge module in a tool such as WiX and then consume it in CVI. Just out of curiosity, what exactly you're trying to do?

  1. What kind of material OR do you have? It is visible in MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer)?
  2. You have a specific reason that you have installed the DAQmx Base pack and not full? In fact, I don't know what are the limits of the basic package, but I always install and use the 'normal' DAQmx driver
