Compatibility of Swann ADW-200.

It seems that the Swann ADW-200 is not compatible with the OS Win 7 64 bit. Is there a driver that will work for this system?

Peripheral hardware manufacturers are responsible for their own drivers. If Swann cannot help you, no one can...

Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your model (this is usually done in the Support section) and see if they have Windows 7 drivers. Download the driver (s) and follow the instructions to install - each device is different so I can't give you exact directions.

  • NB - 200 can not handle the compatibility mode for HDD Contoller...

    Hello everyone!
I would like to make it work on my nb 200 ubuntu 10.04 netbook edition netbook. The installation is done, grub works very well (I kept windows xp and have dualboot grub-controlled). Of course, I asked first in the ubuntu forum to solve my problems. I thought it was done, but in fact it wasn't. See the ubuntu forum for more information: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9346966&postcount=1
Switch mode Compatible HARD disk (in bios) controller works great for ubuntu, but Windows XP have problems. XP is launched (I see the Welcome screen), but then the computer restarts. I updated the Bios to version 1.9 (02/2010), but this does not solve my problem.
In the threat of ubuntu, a help very kin (darkod) says:
+ You can try, but if changing the controller type makes a difference, I'm not sure this will help. This seems not related to ubuntu. +
+ I'm surprised change compatible controller made XP no boot. If a hard drive is sata, you, instead, compatibility mode is required to even install XP because it does not include inside SATA drivers. +
+ I guess it depends how the manufacturer put the netbook. +

Thanks in advance for your help.

I tested the functionality of Windows XP Home edition on my Satellite with AHCI mode and if the WXP was preinstalled with the SATA mode enabled it will not work when the mode is replaced by the compatibility option. I get the blue screen every time if I want to start Windows XP Home edition.

I think that you do need to make the decision. If you want to use both operating systems, I think you should change the AHCI mode to compatibility and reinstall Linux and Windows XP Home edition.
Then it works well, but you will not have full disk under Windows XP Home edition as performance when you use the SATA mode.

  • 1.4 Extender to use with 70 d and EF 70-200 mm f/4 IS. No compatibility issues?

I intend to get the 1.4 Extender to use with my EOS 70 d and the EF 70-200mm f/4 IS.  Are there problems of compatibility with this combination?

    ebiggs1 wrote:

    "... they will work perfectly."

Perfectly may be a stretch but, Yes, they will work as well as can the combo.  Whenever you add something like a TV exrender you have to give up something.  In photography, you give to get.  There is no free lunch. Fortunately you start with a pretty good lens and can afford to lose one f-stop and some IQ.

Let me ask a slightly different question. Assume that you already have (as many of us do) IS a 70-200mm f/2.8 L II. Suppose you add the TV-extender 1.4. The combination would result, in my view, in a 98-280mm f/4, a potentially useful lens that does not appear in the Canon range. So, given the cost of the TE and the main quality of the image of the combination, buys the TE a smart move?

Notice that buy her YOU does not compromise the 70-200 somehow, since it is always good that he has never been without the SOW. The combination, for the price of the song, stands or falls on its own.

Well, you know the Web from Toshiba website Options & accessories?
    You can find it here:

I checked this and according to this site, 6000mAh, 9-cell, Li-Ion Battery Pack PA3537U-1BRS must be compatible with the X 200 series.

Can we see problems with the replacement of the original Hitachi TravelStar 7 K 200 (200 GB) HDD, that went into my two year old Toshiba Tecra M10 - 11 X, with a so-called 'Advanced Format' 7 K 750 (750 GB or maybe 640 GB) hard drive?

Like the original, I want to dual-boot the new disk using three partitions:
    * Windows 7 32-bit

    * Windows XP
and would probably clone one disk to another (by increasing the size of the partition!) with the v5 of Macrium Reflect.

  • Windows 8 on the Satellite X 200 - 21F

    Hello.

I don't totally understand the windows update thing 8.

My computer is not listed in the first part (you can already update computers), nor on the second (you can not computers). Just says something like "not supported by windows 8' drivers.

This means I can't upgrade to windows 8 with my computer works properly at all, or that Toshiba needs time to make it work well?

    Thanks for your reply.

Each laptop manufacturer decides which old models of laptops will be support for the new operating system. Toshiba has done the same and offered a public list with all supported models.
You can find it on - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/windows8-message under the Toshiba compatibility matrix.
Your Satellite is quite old and has been bundled with Vista OS so Toshiba he supported for Win7, but it is obviously not possible to Win8. With other words, Toshiba doesn't offer any Win8 drivers, tools and utilities.

You can try to update your Win8 Satellite and see how it works, but you're on your own and need to see how to get the best configuration of operating system. You can try to use some stuff from Win7 and I hope that most of them is not working properly.

Always it is that moment that we don t have many reports in this forum about the Win8 feature on older models of laptops, so if you play with him and I hope he can work be so kind and post a few detailed comments how you did.

These reports can be very useful for other X 200 owners.

    Bye and good luck.

  • Satellite X 200-unexpected shut downs as soon as I use the SLI

I've always bought Toshiba as well for me and the company,
I bought a Satellite X 200 and as soon as I use the SLi makes the unexpected closure of the bottom computer...

And the most important thing is that I paid a lot of money for it.
    My old laptop performance :(
Feels like products are sometimes not tested until they sell.

Anyone over with the same point of view on the Satellite X 200?

My friend has a X 200 and has no problem with SLI.

Have you tried other games? This game has maybe a compatibility issue with SLI.

You use the graphics drivers supplied by Toshiba? If you use drivers from a non-Toshiba source, it can cause problems of this kind.

Also update the BIOS and maybe try a new image (run recovery) if all else fails.

If it fails on a new image, then a video card may be defective.

    Hello

Have you checked the page Web ATI for Linux drivers?
Try google a bit in Linux forums.

PS: I found this site to info Linux on the Toshiba page:

Here, you can compare a configuration and compatibility options.

But you must know that Toshiba supports only the Microsoft OS, and there is no guarantee that the various Linux distributions will work properly

  • ECS RC410-M (Asteropi-GL8E) Graphics Card compatibility

    Hello

In need of a graphics card, for my m7377a PC media (2006). With the motherboard OEM above.

This motherboard has problems of compatibility with the following cards:

NOTHING EVERYTHING GOOD (on this mobo).

GT630 on top, with 2 GB of VRAM, GT630 1 GB VRAM (mine), Ge Force GT210 1 GB Geforce GT630-2GD3

GT610 works of all kinds with video playback problems (I read).

Most of these cards, leader at all in windows. I bought a 1 GB of VRAM GT630, that I have to fire and lose money on the return shipping cost. In addition, spent several hours trying to make it work.

My problems are described on this post:

GeForce 210 doesn't work at all with card mother RC410-M. Freez PC splash screen after the installation of this new GeForce210 graphics card. The same PC works well with embedded chart after removing the GeForce210. I replaced the PSU 250W to 450W. Update BIOS to Ver 3.24. My Compaq/HP PC model no is SR1732IL. Pentium 4 524 (P) HT, 3.06 GHz, 533 MHz, Socket 775, RAM-1 GB DDR2. Please suggest what needed to change settings.

    I also read this:

    2009

For info, there are many reports of graphics cards with onboard integrated HDMI audio controllers or does not properly on the old ATI RS480/485 (Xpress 200) and motherboards Intel 915. The graphics function works well, but the HDMI audio controller will not install (or function) correctly due to resources in conflict, probably due to a limitation in the BIOS. So you can see that a graphics card that has its own HD HDMI audio controller does not work on this old motherboard.

So, if your motherboard is not likely to work with a new card (that you can generally post to a loss of ($)).

What choices are there? Try to get an exact same old?

How long before, (new card) dare go you until it became incompatible?

Whenever you have to go back, theres a loss on postage. If the seller actually accepts a return on a used item.

So where should I start looking for a card for this map mother RC410-M. and be sure that it will work, should not return to a loss of time and money.

    Ideas please!

    Thank you!

    SID.

    Hi Alcyone,

Yes, I now have a work card (ATI). I solved it myself in the end and was going to contact Gigabyte to the subject of the incorrent (or misleading) specifications put on their products. But I had spent so much time on this PC, that enough was enough and I never have. They would be even interested? I had contacted during my research (to ask on the GT630 before I bought it). The answers was not good (as they do not read the survey properly, as my questions remained unanswered). I think that sometimes they don't know, which is OK, but should say, so I don't waste my time and money.

I'm never return here at the end of the day, to write my solution either (I don't think anyone would need, old PC a whole). So that's it:

As you place your order of parts can be expensive, if you make a mistake (the two means of postage). Was important to me to make sure I got the right parts first. Or my fixed at low prices for the old PC would be costly. So ended up doing a thorough reading and research before buy you. Always end up with one that would work not (new GT630). I checked everything to turn on without result. I got a return postage, but it still lost $15 on the return of mail.

It is the video card that did not, which made me think to upgrade other parts. As I wanted to adapt to a new upgrade card (such as the same year 2006 than my PC, how use that could have? maybe I would still look in 6 months?).

I wanted the last card that works, which was new, top spec etc. But more than anything in the budget that I had put to the old PC.

What I found was (and it was also the same for the PSU (Power supply unit) I had to replace). Components are continually updated, and to the extent possible, they try to make it backward compatible. But when major changes occur is not always possible or practical. This point of intersection in the technology can become difficult to get the right part. As last will not work, too old is too old. In the Middle, to the point of major changes (where my PC) can be difficult, with compatibility issues more cause where backward compatibility ends.

I opened another post at PSU renewal/upgrade and the difficulties of the selection of an appropriate unit, but also around the time of my PC (2006), there were changes to the amount of power supplied to the rails of the tension.

I had read a lot of opportunities, for people with the same problems as me with my new GT630 but also on the 610, 620? and other cards.

The problem is between the PCI-E 2.0 and ver 2.1 version

Œuvres from version 2.0 to version 1.0

Version 2.1 runs on a slot machine Ver 2.0 without being lower versions.

But the GT630 is version 3.0 compatible (on the box) running on version 2.0 (in small print). I thought: run worm. 2.0 OK = compat backward for version 1.0 (not so).

I found that the card is a 2.1 version that can run in a ver 2.0 slot and also a ver 3.0 slot. Changes have been made to the 2.1 that are agreed on the 2.0 and 3.0, but will not work something before ver 2.0

I guess, because the GT630 I bought to work on version 2.0 (I read the fine print before buy you), it would be back compatible (like ver. 2.0). They should have set out on the box that it is version 2.1 and will be only backward to 2.0

To sum up, when you buy must be certain it's ver 2.0 and not higher.

Ultimately for a version 2.0, I had to get a used video card. Perhaps, there are always new there? But I had had enough and was in a hurry. Didn't want to send a return once again either.

The latest version (year), I could get, I found one on Ebay for a price, I was happy with (Aus$ 60). Seller said he had not much use, still orig box and on the pictures is very clean. Yes! no guarantee, but it's still a chance with buying used. I was a little out of choice. I did the best research, I was able on ebay and won in the end.

This is what I bought and works perfectly in my PC for what I want from him. Overkill really (no game), but at least he will have an easy life.

    ATI RADEON HD4850

    1 GB GDDR3

    256-bit

    PCI Express 2.0

    Direct X 10.1

This is a substantial upgrade to my original card and it works well.

You probably only wanted the info above please so excuse the extra information. I thought I should write something in case it is useful to others.

    See you soon!

    SID.

Just thought I would add this again from the wiki (good info)

Think I JUST RECEIVE THE ANSWER? wiki but inevitable loser. I've read before (must have been when suffering and vision go blurry?)

    PCI Express 2.1 (from wiki)

PCI Express 2.1 supports a large part of the management, support, and troubleshooting systems provided for the full implementation in PCI Express 3.0.

However, the speed is the same as PCI Express 2.0.

Unfortunately, the increase in power of the slot breaks backward compatibility between cards PCI Express 2.1 and some old motherboards with 1.0 / 1. 0 a, but most of the PCI Express 1.1 motherboards connectors are provided with a BIOS update by their manufacturers utilities to support backward compatibility of PCIe 2.1 cards.

Any thoughts, other than the memory of DOA, which seems unlikely?

    Thank you.

According to their site memory Configurator, Kingston manufactures modules memory compatible with your desktop from HP 200 - 5120UK.

Since you're in England there are other options. Return the module that you purchased and use a web search, as I did to find the modules that are guaranteed compatible with your desktop computer.

    http://www.mrmemory.co.UK/memory-RAM-upgrades/HP/all-in-one/200-5120uk

Replace the modules by pairs of identical modules. Replacement of simple modules to add to an already installed module results fair on the no start screnarion you met.

That the manufacturers and sellers to try to determine compatibility. In this way, that it involves not spending your ownfunds to find a module that works. Suppliers and manufacturers have their reputation on the line when they guarantee a memory they sell will work as expected.
