Components of black 10 loose adapter.

Hello

My adapter recently started to make noise when I shake the adapter, which, inside, it resembles a component that is loose and it feels big and heavy. His work yet but is it desirable to continue using the power adapter or do I have to replace the current power adapter or is there a way that I can do about it? Please advice.

Thank you.

You must change the adapter, because nobody knows what type of component, it is, and what might happen with her...

Then to be sure, change

  • Connection speed problems - black WUSB54GC usb adapter

    Hello everyone,

This is my first post here!

I googled nothing helped, and so I thought I would record with the Linksys forum and see if maybe I can solve this problem that others may have as well.

I recently installed black WUSB54GC usb wireless adapter on my desktop PC, windows XP (now updated with service packs, etc.)

The adapter receives the complete signal (very good - excellent, 54 Mbps), but it seems that my download speeds are capped with this adapter. Web pages same way load more slowly. I can place the macbook from my girlfriend directly next to my office, connected to exactly the same wireless network, and its download speed, browser speed and speed test results are always twice as me (any site speed test I use or what file I download).

When I do a speed test, almost seems as if the speedometer needles few want to continue, but they just 'bounce', as they are hitting some kind of ceiling.

When downloading files, the macbook on average 500 to 800 Kbps, while the adapter WUSB54GC hangs out at approximately 90 kbps.

I have read in this forum and have adjusted my router Linksys WRT54G wireless suggested as follows:

-Set the channel 11-2 wireless, 462 GHz

-Change the interval of tag to 75

-Change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304

-Change the RTS threshold to 2304

In addition, my connection speed is even slower, regardless if I have the settings TCP/IP (under the Wi - Fi connection properties) set manual (static ip) or automatically.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to be able to get this thing working properly, knowing that my router is pumping a lot more than this adapter is letting me use.

    Thank you!

Well, I think I solved the problem.

Seems that in some ports USB on my motherboard (Asus P5B) do not allow to run at full speed wireless USB adapter. I had used in the rear ports on my computer... but the passage for the first ports (that came with the case - Thermaltake Armor) seems to have solved the problem. However, as I believe that all of the USB ports I have is strange Hi-speed USB 2.0 and strange that those outside that came with the case and will connect to the pins on the motherboard works better than those actually built. Huh.

Wouldn't be something to do with the drivers for the WUSB54GC, or is this a problem with USB port drivers?

In any case, I'm sorry if this sounds like a useless thread now, but maybe this someone solve other problems too.

    See you soon!

    Hello

    I have a similar suggestions and proposals of solution;
First check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS. If this is not the case, try to update.

But to be honest, I doubt that this could be a BIOS problem. It sounds more like a problem with a hardware component.
I remember that my friend had a similar problem.
The Courvite of mouse and touchpad jumped on the screen and was not usable
It's a keyboard question EPA has replaced the keyboard and the problem disappeared.

But this does not mean that your keyboard is broken it is perhaps only an option

Anyway, the ASP must check hardware components; for example, the new adapter must be tested too

  • Spark TextInput text highlight color (or the manufacturing of spark and mx components alike)

I use a mixture of spark and mx components. Really, I use only the spark, but I need dateField components too, and these are just the spark. The question that I have is to have a common look between components and this isn't quite the case when it comes to highlight the text in a textInput (DateField, NumericStepper or or ComboBox, etc.). Default components to blacks and nail fonts sparks bluish. Default MX black on white to white on black to selected and unselected.

I looked around for hours and sort of up to mx look like spark, even if I like the spark look much better (although that would like to hear if something new has come with flex 4 for this). I assumed that at least making resemble spark mx would be easy. But is it?

I know how to change the color for the highlight (i.e. the substantive part) using focusedTextSelectionColor. What I can't find is the same for fonts, i.e. something like focusedSelectedFontColor. But I don't know that there is. It must, right?

Anyway, would love the pointers that you can save.

    Thank you!

    f

You can use FTEText in MX components.  You can use the mock datefield

  • CB5-571 broken charger can not find replacement

Hello, I have a white 15.6 "CB5-571 acer and I purchased several Chargers spare for the model already, but none of them are suitable. Two didn't quite fit and a bery loosely fit, requirely band to keep it in the port to load. All the Chargers I purchased were black, my chromebook is white. Is this really a possibility why the Chargers do not work? Also, if you can, can provide you a link for a replacement? Thank you!

    Hello

You will find a power adapter to replace your Acer store (100% compatible).

Yours, this is probably due to the size of the tip (1.1x3.0x7.5mm). It is not a color issue. This model comes with a black or white adapter according to the color of the Chromebook.

  • Portege R500 - after what ODD hardware upgrade will not read

Recently, I bought a vintage 2008 Toshiba R500-11Z laptop ultraportable. He needed a new keyboard, because most of the keys are dead, so I bought a new replacement (exact same keyboard, an eBay seller). I also decided to give a new breath of life by installing a SSD drive. The old keyboard was attached to the frame with some sort of sticky back plastic, which is not reusable, so for the new keyboard, I used a strong adhesive tape double-sided. Before you screw the plastic rear landing gear I installed Windows 7, with the loosely adapted landing gear up. Installation of Windows is complete and everything seemed fine. After screwing in the landing gear, I discovered that optics player his original "open-top" mat * a DVD-RAM UJ - 844-S would not read disks. He just made a noise 3 times but does not spin then upward as it normally would. Drive is visible in Explorer solutions and Device Manager.

After unscrewing the undercarriage, the relocation of the optical drive and rescrewing several times, I was not able to get the optical drive to play all discs. What I created is that the disc must be catching on the ceiling, thus signalling the reader to turns don't not upward; leaving the screws each side of the lander was allowed to create a gap, so there is more room between the optical drive and the ceiling of the laptop. Disks will then turn upward and Windows AutoPlay will open to them. What I can't work, it's what has changed in regard to the way in which the drive is mounted and its position relative to the ceiling above him. Or if the reader is now trying to turn a corner. There are two blocking screws that hold the drive in place, so that the reader must be at the same place its always been.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem before, and if there is an easy solution. According to me, I hit a wall of bricks on this one!

    Thanks in advance.

Just to say, after a lot of head scratching, I worked on the problem. I had made a mistake by attaching the clamp metal Assembly at the rear of the optical drive.

I had screwed the clip outside the Orange connector when he had to be inside (between the optical drive and the orange connector). It seems that it must have pushed the player to place just enough to prevent it from functioning properly.

  • Pavilion a1620e: Athlon 64 X 2 does not not with Mo A8M2N-(Nodus3) in the a1620e Pavilion

    Hello

Pavilion a1620e (MB A8M2N-(NodusM3) with the following improvements:)

    RAM - 3 GB

    POWER 600 watt PSU

    GeForce 8800GTS

Works well with WIN 7 64 bit.

I want to upgrade the processor and like HP saying the Council is good for an Athlon 64 X 2 5000 + I tried one, but the computer refused to start - just constant high-speed fan and no other answer.

My bios version is the 3.07 original. I would try 3.10 or 5.02, but it does not seem possible to download them.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    OK
It took a while, but now I have an AMD Athlon 64 x 2 5000 + to work in my HP Pavilion a1620e computer. After having no success with the original Windsor ((ADA5000IAA5CS) I bought a Brisbane (ADO5000IAA5DO) on Ebay for 5 euros and phenomena inside.

All the research I did suggested the Brisbane does not work on the MB A8M2N-(Nodus3), but to my surprise the machine has started AND has been recognized by the BIOS. To test, I had just reinstalled the original 3500 + HSF and it was not long before that Core Temp indicated that the CPU became powerful hot so I turned off and order an ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 HSF from Amazon. It is significantly larger than the stock of 3500 + HSF and I wasn't sure if it would fit in the case of a1620e, but it doesn't - come.

It is easier to adjust by first removing the power supply (I found that it was possible to slide over the body in the way which rather than loose all their components wiring caps), then loosely tying the two tiny hold the SH screw brackets before attempting to fix in position. Once the heatsink in place the fan simply clips on it. Fan socket on the MB is three-pin, the Arctic Freezer 7 fan is four pins, but it fits the correct MB decision-making. The extra pin is for PWM speed control, but MB controls the speed of the fan very well without it.

The new HSF runs much quieter than the original and control the temperature of 5000 + perfectly. I'm writing this Core Temp shows #0 27 C Core and Core #1 34 C, with a max since the start (an hour earlier) 41 & 50 respectively.

Obviously, the new processor is faster than the old single 3500 + and worth it, if a power supply upgrade is, I think, required. The stock power supply was sorely lacking and I exchanged for a Watt ATX 630, which seems to do good with my Geforce 8800GTS and the new processor graphics card.

I noticed that the computer CPU assembling start-up can freeze occasionally and need to be restarted. Once restarted it works fine. Usually only happens once, if at all and so far I have not found a problem.

Also, I had the opportunity to examine under a glass strong mag Windsor 5000 + who did not later. One of the external pins had broken. It was almost impossible to see with the naked eye. He could well the reason why it did not work, so don't give up on Windsor if you have the A8M2N-(Nodus3), just avoid the Brisbane either. There are loads of Brisbane ADO5000IAA5DO go cheap over there and we could work just for you.

A final remark on another subject: I do not know if a member of the staff of HP take the trouble to read these forums (probably not!) but since the beginning of my research, many of the useful pages of HP customer service have disappeared from their website and redirected to a page of "Welcome to HP customer support" useless. In fact, for those of us with older computers HP does no service the customer at all. I have two HP computers: a Pavilion a1620e (the subject of this post) and a workstation XW4600. They will be the latest products from HP that I will buy. The XW4600 is still supported, probably because it has been sold for commercial application. Small vintage, produced for the individual products are not. I can understand HP did not want to spend money on the updates to the bios, etc. of these older products, but to remove all references to them shows a cynical disregard for a customer who, if they make sense, now will never buy an HP product again. Shame on you HP!

  • New Windows 8 connect to a homegroup based on a Windows 7 computer.

I have a new computer running Windows 8 and a residential group based on a Windows 7 computer, two flags of HP 64-bit.  My problem is that, after not having not used for several hours, the machine of Windows 8 does not connect to the homegroup.  The message itself, is that the network address is not recognized.  When I click on the button "Diagnose" the message comes back saying my connection has been refused by the host, I guess this means that the Windows 7 machine where rests the homegroup.

Should the residential group rely on the machine Windows 8?  The connection is wireless and I made sure none of the adapters are disabled in the settings of power on both machines.  The new machine has replaced a Windows 7 laptop which had been in place for 18 months and works fine but on cultivated.

The problem has proved to be a parameter in Windows 8, which enabled him to turn off the different hardware components to save energy.  One of these components has been the network adapter AND the wireless adapter.  Souinds as two different things for me, but they are actually the same thing, so only change the network card like HP told me does not resolve the issue.

My son-in-law has suggested that since the machine is a desktop computer, and I never turn off any way, just deselect all options of conservation of power on the components.  As soon as I put the wireless adapter, everything was fine.

Windows 8 or the way the machine is design for energy saving, all went a little over Board.

    Hello

No light - not totally dead nothing!

I am a fairly competent hardware engineer, but don't know where to start with this one.  Any help gratefully received.

    TIA

    Bob

    Hi Bob,

There are a number of steps, we can try to determine exactly what is happening with your system. If you can answer what follows below, this will help us to know where the problem lies:

    1. Remove the battery from the system - on the battery itself, you should see a button next to the LEDs and 5 LED. Please push this button and tell us what light, as appropriate.
    2. Please check the plug of the AC adapter and connector AC adapter inside the laptop for signs of damage. Please pay particular attention to the plug of the AC adapter - this should have a PIN in the middle that must not be bent or damaged in any way.
    3. Please connect your adapter on the sector. On the adapter, there should be an LED. Does the LED light up when it is connected to the power grid?
    4. If the adapter LED turns on when it is connected to the mains, plug the power adapter to the system. The LED on the AC adapter out or flicker?
    5. Just to double-check, please try turning on the system using power adapter only. You see everything light up in the system?
    6. Same as step 5, but please use the battery only. Again, you see everything light up in the system?
    7. Please connect the power adapter and the battery to the system. Then try turning on the system by holding down the FN key and pressing the power button. This can give you a code of lights where the lock light LEDs are (Num Lock, Scroll Lock, Caps Lock). Please tell me which of these LEDs light up, if necessary.
    8. At this point, we would deprive the system to its basic components. If you are happy to do this, please ensure that you remove the AC adapter and the battery from the system. Please remove the following components:
      a. memory DIMM
      b. the card (if installed) wireless
      (c) keyboard.
      d. Bluetooth Module (if installed)
      e. hard drive
      f. optical drive
      g. cable of the LCD Panel of.
If you need instructions on how to remove these components, please consult the owner's manual here:
    9. With above removed components, please plug your power adapter and press the Microswitch to the power button. You can see the lock light LEDs lights up, please note that light up, if necessary.
    10. If Lock LED lights, please reinstall each component individually and turn on the system after that each component is reinstalled. Note that light up, is all.
If you can try the above, it would be a great help. Thanks again, hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi jessiecornwall,

Thank you for the information. I suggest you go to Device Manager and right click on your graphics card and update was from there. Here is a document of Manager of devices for Windows 8 information which has steps for the error codes you get.

I am also including this document for an Overview of the switchable graphics or Dual GPU that explains what they are and how they work.
