Compound triggers are supported by Oracle 11.2.0.1 worm?

Hello

We work with the oracle 11.2.0.3 version and created some compound triggers that work properly. Can someone tell if they will work in 11.2.0.1? We have no test environment for this particular version.

Thank you.

Hi , kastolom,

Thanks for your reply, but it is also supported by 11.2.0.1?

It seems that you have chosen to ignore my answer so here is the link to the Oracle 11.1 documenetation, the version in which composed triggers have been introduced.

I created a test web app in apex.oracle.com to try a few things. I created a Flash 2D pie chart in a Web page, and it seems to make very well. But before rendering, I get the error message above, on the region of graph for 1-2 seconds.

Can anynone tell me what means the error message above and why I'm getting this. I do not use a custom XML part. Has not changed the default settings of the chart area.

I could see above the error appearing clearly since the apex.oralce.com is so slow... and graphics region takes awhile to load. Otherwise I could not have noticed. It happens in the IE8 and Google chrome.

I used HTML5 graphics in apex 4.2.0.00.27 in my office in my real application workspace. Most of my users still use IE8. HTML5 graphics all appeared well in their IE8 browser. One fine day, some parameters must be changed by my network administrator or soemthing else could have happened. I have no idea. My webapplication HTML5 graphics disappear IE8 users. IE9 users had no problem. I contacted our IT support staff of any changes to security settings that day, or earlier. Absolutely no help from my frustration. I have to change maps of my application (only about 6 of them) to the Flash graphics to overcome this obstacle. This is the story behind why I use Flash cards. If anyone has experienced a similar problem in IE8 HTML5 graphics please shed any light for me... This problem may be nothing to do with the "XMLFile parameter error message', but I'm not sure.

  • Change all the triggers table in the oracle schema by using a script - possible?

Is it possible to modify all the triggers table in the oracle schema using a single script or modify each trigger table separately is the only way?

A couple of alternatives come to mind.

    (1) you can go in SQL Develolper, go to the schema, expand the node for triggers and select all the triggers that you want to change.  Right-click and choose the fast DDL--> save spreadsheet.  Find and replace in the worksheet and then run the script.

    (2) if the trigger is the same for all 70 tables, you can move the PL/SQL out of the trigger and in a procedure in a package and just call the procedure of 70 triggers.  Now, the code is kept in the same place.  For new tables, you can add a call to the procedure and you are done.  If all 70 triggers are not the same, see if you can pass parameters to allow a generalized procedure that they can all use.

You have not indicated what your triggers.  Are insert you columns of auditing, archiving data, inserting into a table of log, update another table or something else?  What type of trigger is it?  What you trying to accomplish with your triggers?

Oracle support strategy is unchanged. It is a typical "typo" from people unfamiliar with this statement of support for commercialization. If you are an Oracle customer you have access to MyOracleSupport & can read by yourself (249212.1). Without political change = business as usual. • Triggers are bad?

    Hello

A friend who works directly with Oracle said everything must be done in order to try to avoid using triggers, but I didn't understand why.

I'm not an Oracle (or any other database) expert, but I can understand that a trigger is a block of code that is executed for each insert, update or delete (I know you can say when to run it when you create it), so be careful not to appear too complicated or 'heavy' in order to make not the whole slow base. But, again, I think that he should be careful with what your triggers, but you don't need to avoid using them.

Is that all that I'm missing?

    Thanks in advance,

    João Toledo

    Hello

Triggers were / are used in an inappropriate way very often, causing unexpected side effects.

Many examples about why they have been used in the wrong sense were explained by Thomas Kyte.
You can find articles and explanations on his site:
    http://asktom.Oracle.com
    (do f.i. a search on 'I hate triggers' ;)))
    and on his blog:
    http://tkyte.blogspot.com/2006/09/classic-example-of-why-i-despise.html

Again this topic may be simply google, such as:
    http://rwijk.blogspot.com/2007/09/database-triggers-are-evil.html

A link showing the opposite is possible
    http://thehelsinkideclaration.blogspot.com/2009/04/Helsinki-code-layers-in-DBMS.html

    Edit

In fact, it goes for everything, not only triggers:
When applied inappropriatly or without realizing the possible consequences, evil can (Murphy, said "ultimatly * will *") occur.
He's going for triggers, for clues to the EAB, for one WHERE OTHER then NULL, etc...

  • No oracle support for oracle 10g RAC on RHEL 5.3?

    Hi all
I have no oracle support. I need this information juice to my knowledge.
could you get it someone please let me know if oracle supports Oracle 10 g RAC on RHEL 5.3?
or on any version of RHEL 5.
documentation on tahiti has no mention of RHEL5.

    Thank you
    Arvind

Both Oracle 10 g 2 and 11g RAC are supported for RedHat Enterprise 5 on versions 32 and 64 bit. It's really some information that should be available outside metalink (for people like you who are not yet customers).

    Hope this has helped

  • Supported text Oracle - compressed (ZIP) documents

Is it possible for Oracle Text for the index files of different formats such as DOC, PDF, HTML compressed in ZIP archives?
I have read some Oracle text documents, and it seems that this feature isn't available out-the-box?

Someone has an idea how these features can be implemented?

I think USER_DATASTORE might be used for this, but this does not seem like a good way how to.
The second option is using a text FILTER class Oracle. But the default INSO_FILTER does not support indexing the documents in the ZIP packages according to my tests.
So far, I wasn't able to find any other filters that support this feature.

    Kind regards.

What version of oracle you are interested in?
11.1.0.7 (later) returns the Oracle text to INSO filters for the processing of documents and in [reference Section of text B.2.5 | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/text.111/b28304/afilsupt.htm#g639477] (file archive Format), ZIP files are supported.

  • Making clips are supported through XML?

I am importing an XML of any other editor in a project that uses clips blocking. Both of us are on FCPX & using the same media.

When I import the xml file - I have a project with several chronologies camera & audio detached - that make it kind of silly for me to try to continue to the change.

I'm doing something wrong or not blocking clips simply do not work through xml?

    Thank you

I tried this, and it worked as expected. I chose a project containing a multicam, exported XML file clip, has created a new library, XML import, and she came back properly.

Both machines are running the same version of FCP X? What version of XML used (1.4 or 1.5 are supported in 10.2.3)?

  • Equium A60-191: number of Modem - only an analog phone lines are supported

My Equium A60 has been turned on when lightning struck nearby and caused the power supply turn off and turn back on.

The OS is XP Home and my ISP is AOL. When I try to access the Net with DUN, I get the repeated error message:

"Connected phone line is not compatible with this modem. Only analog phone lines are supported. »

My desktop computer, which also uses AOL, always connects to the same phone line with no problems.

I restarted the A60 several times; changed and I tried the 2 phone connection cables - both work; the phone line works very well; I reinstalled the driver provided on this site; removed the tick from the box that says to wait for the telephone line; verified that the modem is working and on the Device Manager list. All this is in vain.

Convenience store suggests that COM 3 is not enabled. I don't see that com 3 listed in the device under Ports Manager.

I tried Google and ASK with the error message. There is not a lot of posts, and it seems that the Toshiba modem is actually an Agere. This fact seems to be the object of some of the complaints.

Finally, I uninstalled the driver/modem, AOL and another DUN connection. I restarted and went through the process of installing AOL and "new hardware". While the modem is on and allegedly working... I am still unable to connect to the Net. I reinstalled an additional 'pay as you go' ISP. When I try to dial a number on which it generates error 680. It does this even when the box is unchecked, to wait for a dial tone.

I would be very grateful if someone could help it. I'm out of ideas.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

You are right, the modem supports the Modem Agere chip.
You won't find the COM3 in the Device Manager for the modem uses a non-real com port. It s virtual com port.

I think you should start the diagnostic tool test and check if the Modem has no malfunction.
Additional you must remove the connection in the region Select utility and after restarting again create a new.

I also found useful Microsoft article on troubleshooting network and dial-up connections.

    Hello

I have an A200-1N2, with the original 120GB hard drive.
I would like to upgraded to a larger capacity HARD internal disk.
Can you please me, whose internal hard disk capacities and types (only IDE?) are supported?

    Thank you very much!!
    Leor

    > Can you please tell me, what capacity internal hard drive and types (only IDE?) are supported?
First of all, for all IDE HDD is NOT supported, because the laptop supports the SATA HDD controller. Therefore, use of SATA 2.5 hard disks.

Given that the SATA controller is not limited to any size, you should be able to use any HARD drive 2.5 SATA.
