Hello

There are two locations in your laptop for the RAM.

You can put two 8 GB DDR3L PC3L-12800 1600 MHz SODIMM SDRAM of identical marks. MAX 16 gb is supported.
Crucial, Samsung Hynix are some good brands compatible with HP laptops.

Your can also upgrade your current 500 GB drive HARD SATA 7 mm thick SSD. I use Samsung 840 Evo in my laptop HP Pavilion 15. No extra to buy that you hard drive carrier can just remove HDD & SSD in the current media in the HARD drive Bay.

Migration OS HDD SSD before replacement is a good option.

Buy I must warn that these improvements are not accessible to the user and will cancel the guarantee of do you it yourself and something bad happens. So I suggest you only to contact the nearest service center HP for the upgrade. Instead of me HP service center helped me with my upgrade.
