  My computer started to slow down and freeze after about 1 week ago. Do normal functions and multitasking, that I have the computer completely freezes where I couldn't move my mouse and even ctrl alt delete doesn't work.   After hearing it was a virus, I disconnected the computer from the internet, but continues to run. I can hear weird noises to beep-beeps and fan runs constantly. The beeps sounds where sounds I had never heard of my computer before... They were different, then the typical beeps you hear when the computer loads up.

  I have read as much info about it, but did not find much that relates to my problem and I'm really not tech savy enough to explore the computer myself and hopefully address them myself.

  Can anyone help? At this point, I'm worried about the same connect to the internet. Suggestions?

  Thanks for the help, the computer had some malware in it, but my dad has a companion at work to check and it seemes that I have disabled some windows processes that were not restart so that explains how I've done worse. The PC seems to work fine now.

  I will do my best to help you. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion g6-2235tx laptop and have slow speeds. Thank you for all the information on what is happening and what you've done so far. Something is slowing down the laptop.

  Have you installed some antivirus or firewall? If you disable what are your speeds better?

  Here is a document on improving your system.

  If these things do not help, I would consider a refresh of Windows 8.  Do not forget to save music films and documents in the case where.

  The reset will install the original driver and sometimes to solve the problem of the slow speeds or slow to develop.
