Connect 4 k TV to imac 5 k

Hello

I think to buy an iMac 5 k. I would like to connect it to my 4 k TV via HDMI at 60 Hz. My goal is that the screen of the Mac and the TV show exactly the same image. (Appears in mirror) Is this possible?

Thanks for your help!

  • I have wifi connection problems to my G5 iMac.

I recently got a G5 iMac. I put it on the floor about 10-15 feet of my modem/router. It's in another room, so I'm not able to use an Etherent cable. It has an Airport card, but I was unable to find my wifi. Do I need an Airport base station and if so this model/type?

Provide some additional details may be relevant to the problem.  There are several models of iMac G5.  Here is a list of all iMac models.  What model do you have?

    http://www.EveryMac.com/systems/Apple/iMac/index-iMac.html

Also, what version of Mac OS X turns?  You can select about this Mac from the Apple menu to get information about your system.

You do not need an Apple Airport access point.  But your router's wireless settings a difference.  For example, the last iMac G5 model (from 2005) has only 802.11b and g wireless, not of 802.11n (unless you use a third-party add-on).  Make sure your wireless router is not set to 802.11n only.

Like test, place the iMac that is close enough to your router so that you can connect using an Ethernet cable.  Do you have an Internet connection?  If so, select software update from the Apple menu to confirm that you are running the latest version of the system possible for your version of Mac OS X.  If there is an update, try the connection Wireless again after the update.

  • Do not connect my iPhone and my iMac by continuity

    Hello

My iPhone and my iMac connect properly through continuity, so I can't pick up on my iMac I do on my iPhone and vice versa. I can not make calls from my iMac via my iPhone.

I have an iMac, a MacBook Pro and an iPhone, and all of them are defined to connect, to make and receive calls and all the necessary parameters to ensure continuity, including the same Apple ID to all with the same accounts iCloud.
When I try to make a call directly from my iMac with my iPhone it says that the iPhone is not set to allow my iMac make calls. When I try to check my settings of the iPhone, the phone, my iMac does not appear as a device (my MacBook done) and I can't find a way to add in there. Although in my account/iCloud to Apple, there are all the details for my three devices.

    What can I do?

You don't mention the exact models of your Mac and iphone.

Maybe your iMac model is not fully supported for continuity?

Some of these features require fairly recent iphones and Mac. I can answer or make a call on my rMBP, but not on my iMac 2011.

  • How can I connect my MacMini to my iMac 2007?

    Hey everybody:

I used an iMac 2007 and a Mac Mini (2010 I think), in the separate rooms in my house.  The old monitor that I used for the Mac Mini is dead and I really don't need two separate computers, but I have to be able to access information and documents, etc that I have on my Mac Mini.  My thought was, can I connect just my unit Mac Mini to my iMac, to avoid buying another monitor?  If this is possible, how would I go to do this and what material do I?

    Thanks in advance!

    K. Young

1 n ° for a 2007 iMac, doing so would require implementation of Virtual Network Computing, which requires an independent monitor. If you want to just access the files, connect them with a FireWire cable and start the Mac mini with the T key.

    2. If it's important, any classic network connection will work; a cable will give the best results.

  • How to connect a F4580 to an imac with a Virgin Netgear hub

I just tried to connect the printer to a new imac and I am able to print using the USB cable but when I disconnect it I can't find the printer on my network.   I've read several discussions and much talk by using the installation CD.   The imac is not a hard drive and the driver that I downloaded comes from the Apple software updates.

I don't understand how to connect the printer to the wifi.   The Airport Mac utility can't find the printer.   Surely, I will need to enter the network name and the password somehow, but I have not been through a process of development which requires it and do not understand how to throw one.

I took hours and nothing got so far so I am now very frustrated!   Help would be very appreciated!

Thank you very much. In fact, I found my way round the problem by using s PC with a CD-ROM drive to install the printer and then after the Mac to see, it was relatively simple.

  • I can't make connection to updates with my iMac

I have a problem that my iMac doe do not have the link to install an update

If you have problems with the update or the permissions then more simple is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a clean install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the file on the desktop DMG

    • Trash the present application Firefox to do a clean (re-) install
    • Install the new version you downloaded

Your profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you will not lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

There could be security/stability bug fix updates for 3.6.*/3.5.* in a few weeks, however.
