  • Settings need to connect a second desktop computer using a NetGear wireless adapter.

    Original title: wireless settings

I need the settings to connect a second desktop computer using a NetGear wireless adapter.

The Belkin router work a lot using my Tablet and streaming movies but I can't understand

the settings on the second PC.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

"Settings", you need are the SSID (network name) and the encryption key (password).

Unless you have configured the router to 'hide' the SSID (generally a bad idea), you will see in the list of available wireless networks.  Then, the only thing you need is the encryption key.

If you do not write your encryption key, you can find it by logging into your router configuration utility.

If you have a computer running Windows can now connect to the router, open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) and type "ipconfig" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.  Take note of the 'Default gateway' address.  It is the IP address of the router.

The default IP for Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1.

On a computer that is already connected to the router, open a browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox) and enter the IP address of the router (the gateway by default, you noted above or 192.168.2.1).  If you do not have a computer that is connected to the wireless router, you will need to temporarily connect a computer to the router by an Ethernet cable.

Connect to the router configuration utility.  If prompted for a password and you don't remember, you need to reset the router to its factory default.  Return ticket for additional instructions.

Once logged in, click on "Security" under "wireless" in the menu.  At this point, you should see a page that shows your password.  Write it down and exit the router configuration utility without making any changes.

For more help, post back with the model of your Belkin router and also mention if you have any Windows computer that can connect to the router (and if yes, what version of Windows they use).

If it comes to your TV , you will need to use an adapter to connect it to your computer.  The motherboard has one VGA and DVI - D connector.  The DVI - d digital only.  So you need a HDMI DVI - D for the computer and connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV.  It has a HDMI (In) connector on the side.

Do you hear a modem high speed wireless 3G / 4G Verizon or AT & T or similar provider?

If so, depending on your broadband wireless service provider, you may be able to buy a wireless router that supports your device to USB wireless broadband. The advantage of this is that you need not your laptop on just to be able to access the internet from your iPad. Your laptop and iPad could access the internet independently of each other.

    http://3gstore.com/index.php?Main_Page=page&ID=87

If it is a modem type wide broadband dsl/cable USB, then you can contact your ISP and get them to exchange for a modem with an Ethernet port. If they are for you, I would recommend a router cable/dsl wireless broadband connected to the modem via ethernet and wireless in your laptop and iPad. For example, here's my network home.

    http://theillustratednetwork.MVPs.org/LAN/CurrentHomeLAN.PNG

Otherwise you could build a network hosted with your Windows 7 laptop (connected to the internet via USB modem) and iPad. Here are a couple of free GUI frontends to the netsh commands that implement this. These turn a computer into a virtual router Windows 7 wireless. The downside is that the Windows 7 machine must be turned on all the time you want to access the internet from the iPad.

  • How to connect EA6500 to the phone line, but with no modem

    Hi all

I just bought an ea6500 to replace my old router billion and up to now all I had to do is plug my phone line directly into the port ' phone line in "on the back of the router billion.

But according to me, there is no "phone line in" port on the ea6500, I don't use a modem and have used the router billion in itself for the past 6 years, is it possible to connect my telephone line directly on the ea6500 somehow, ideas appreciated?

My research indicates so far you can do via a ' Ethernet / phone line adapter "because they are incompatible, in any case.

Installation guide appears if wait to a Modem is being used, but in my case it was not and I think that a router must perform the basic functions of a modem anyway?

What concerns me is that if I really need to buy a modem, then this is potentially 'Butterfly' the features of the ea6500 which is the reason why I bought it in the first place?

If I need to buy a modem to get my work ea6500 so what specifications should I look for?

confused the new customer... Thank you

I just checked the online billion router and discovered that it is actually an ADSL router, so it has an ADSL port at the back that the EA6500 do not have. I suggest that you ask your Internet provider if they provide or provide you with a DSL modem, you can install the EA6500 router properly. In addition, the EA6500 is a simple band and dual gigabit router that works behind a modem cable or DSL internet connection.

If you have no Windows CD, you can not do a repair installation.

If you have no Windows CD, the message from the moderator of the Forum Nicholas_W will not help you either.

If the disk verification fails, there is no sense to try a repair installation because the file system was obviously some problems that must be fixed first (at least that is what I think).

Wouldn't you want some ideas that actually work?

    The error:

    STOP: 0 X 00000024 0 X 00190203 0X82F42108, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000

indicates a problem with your NTFS file system.  You can usually solve this by running chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes the plug pulling, buttons power and removing the battery).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

    Here's how:

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

  • How can IP address - I connect to my computer at home?

    Original title: ip address

    Hello!!

    I have a few questions.

I have read in many forums that computers running Windows have two ip addresses: internal and external.

first of all, I don't know the difference between them.

Then, suppose I want to connect my computer remotely. What ip address to use? It is ip has see when I execute the command ipconfig at the prompt of commands, or ip, I find when visiting ipaddress.com? I ask this question because I saw that look for it in the ipaddress.com of ip address changes each time I connect to my router.

the ip address I can find in the command line changes (ipconfig command). also, many router gives the same ip address to the computer connected to its network. I say this because I have a friend who uses the router as mine, and we sometimes have the same (192.168.xxx.xxx) ip address.

How can I connect to my computer at home whenever I need if the ip address of the Exchange computer? Otherwise, I have to check the ip address before you leave the House.

How can I connect to my computer at home by its name if the two computers can have the same name?

I noticed that there are too many question, but whatever the answer, I'll be satisfied.

    YO

1-devices on your local network have internal IP addresses.  Your router/modem translates them your external IP who sees the rest of the world.  Your internal IP address is usually something like 192.168.0.1 etc..

    2. it depends on how you want to connect remotely but you always use the external IP address.  whatismyip.com will tell you what it is.

Your ISP assigns the external IP and the most dynamically assign (which means that they can change)

There is a really easy (and free) way to connect to your computer remotely, eliminating the need for you to deal with the IPS called Team viewer.  It is here http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx

You simply install viewer of the team on both computers.

I have a Dell computer that came with Windows XP Home edition.  When I start my computer the monitoring of ERROR appears: RUNDLL error loading specified not found \3\DLBUtime.dll module

I just click 'ok' and he goes, but, as for what it stop popping up everytime I start my computer.

Can someone help me with this?

    Aprilm,

You are LuLu5119, who posted a question last August?

If this isn't the case, you should have started your own thread.  If so (and even if not), you should have responded to questions about Dell printers.

Assuming that you complain of a "Error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll" message that appears when you start your computer, you should know that the DLBUtime.dll file probably has something to do with the software from Dell which has been partially deleted, but could also be indicative of malware as well as partially withdrawn.

In both cases, the best way for start you to prevent the message at windows is to download Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Install the Autoruns and let it complete the scan of your computer.  Then click on the "Connection" tab and uncheck the following entry:

Look for an entry that has 'DLBUCATS' in the first column.  If you do not see that, look for "rundll32 \3\dlbutime.dll" in the last column ("path of the Image).

Uncheck that entry, close Autoruns and restart your computer.  You should get is no longer the message.

If for any reason, you find later that you need dlbutime.dll running, run Autoruns and check the box. If you decide that you need never again, run Autoruns, right-click on the entry and select Delete.

As General precautionary measure, in case your entry dlbutime.dll was related to malicious software, rather than the Dell printing software, download the following free scanners:

    MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware Portable: http://superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html

For MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, download, install, update and run.
For Portable SAS, follow the instructions on the Web page (note that the instructions assume that you use a different computer to download; if you're not, just make a note of the name of the file).
