Connect the emulator to the Internet

Hello

I have a connection in the web browser on the Blackberry "BOLD" 9000 Simulator in order to use the BrowserField component. First what I tried was running the web browser(w'n'w) and type it the URL "http://google.com", but nothing happens and after the downtime information message «Unable to connect to the Internet...» "is displayed. I tried the "http://www.google.com;deviceside=true" in order to avoid the MDS , which I think I do have to use at all.

It ends with the same result...

Advice how to connect the BB Simulator to Internet are welcome - I guess this should not be too difficult, isn't?

HTTP proxy.

As I said, I was not aware that the BrowserField used direct TCP.  If it is, I think you're little "screwed".  Sorry can't answer that now and won't have time to watch until much later.  I hope someone else can help.

Signature

I suggest that you are very familiar with this:

http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/

It's not where you expect to be and cela merges in trying to respond to Web developers and Java developers, but there are many useful things there.  Also if you search this forum, you will find that other people may well have asked this question before and someone found the right link.  It must be somewhat autonomous to really get the most out of the resources here.

But this is your link to sign:

Paid support

I'm not so great.  There are plenty of top developers who are hiding here.  I have just this forum a lot for the code that runs in a large number of my apps, so I try to give back.

Anyway, you can get paid support in a variety of ways, one that is no longer applicable to you is what I think:

But around to locate the link I gave above, there is more.

  • WRT54G V5 does not connect to the internet.

I am replacing a WRH54G with a WRT54G.  First of all, I just unplugged and waited 5 minutes. Then I plugged my ethernet cable from the DSL modem into the WRT54G. Then I plugged the DSL modem. I waited for lights stop flashing. Then I plugged the WRT54G and waited for LEDs show the connection. Then I plugged the cord of the WRT54G to computer ethernet. Then I turned on the computer. I was able to access the Interface for the WRT54G, but I wasn't able to connect to the internet. I tried power cycling several times times the modem DSL and the WRT54G. I was unable to access the internet. Finally, I plugged the WRH54G back in and everything worked fine. Any ideas as to why the old WRH54G can connect to the internet and the WRT54G impossible?

In fact in the statement above this still does not work, but ten minutes ago I understand much of the useful post. Because I wasn't getting IP addresses on my new router, I was wondering if some how they were blocked on my old router. So here's what I did. I had my old router connected. I logged into the old router and under status I clicked on the release of the WAN IP. Then I unplugged the old router. Then I connected the internet cable from the modem to the internet port of my new router and connected first ethernet port on the router to the computer. Then I connected the new modem. When I logged in I saw that the router had caught the required IP addresses. My internet is now up and running and with the QOS feature on my new router I can watch YouTube and be on my google phone VOIP at the same time with the blurring! The key was to know that the problem was that my new router was not grabbing IP addresses. This gave me the idea that they were somehow stuck on my old router. When I published their new new caught router. I know this isn't technically how it works, but it solved the problem. Ball-shaped here were the steps of the solution.

    Verizon DSL DHCP

    1. connect to the old router.

    2. click on status

    3. click on WAN IP release address

    4. disconnect all cords of old router.

5 connect the cable modem internet in new internet router port.

    6. connect the ethernet cable to port 1 of the modem.

    7. connect ethernet port 1 of the modem in the computer

8 connect the power cord to the new router.

After I did these things that the internet was working fine with all my other stuff related to the router. I connected the new router, looked under status and saw other and valid IP addresses. Thanks for the help. I hope that someone that nice find if they still have the same problem. I wonder how the addresses IP got stuck on the old router or rather why I had a WAN IP release on the old router before the new router could get a valid IP address.

  • Computer connects to the Internet on all networks, except one

A few days ago my computer stopped at random to connect to the internet via an Ethernet cable in my apartment.  It works very well, continuously for more than a year.  I first thought the network was down, but to verify ports three separate wall in our apartment (including the one in question) computer of my roommate and his computer connected perfectly.

My computer can still connect to other networks (different buildings) both via radio and connected via Ethernet, if this isn't a hardware problem.  Currently, we have a wireless router configuration in our apartment that my computer can connect to.  For some reason when I am connected to the network via an Ethernet cable, the computer cannot access the internet.
When connected, the State jumps back between "Internet access" and "no Internet access.  I tried to ping www.google.com and several other IPs known without success.  Works fine when I go wireless.
I tried the following, without success:
    Reinstalled drivers for network cards
    Reset the network settings
    Reset Windows sockets
    Enabled IPv4 and IPv6
Add favorite DNS servers (google and a few others)
    Restart
    System restore
If anyone has any ideas, I can provide more information, if it helps...
    Thank you

The problem was somewhat resolved.  When the connection to the Local network has been filled with the wireless network connection, the Internet took over.  I unplugged the router wireless and internet still works, so I'll consider it a success so far.

  • Devices to connect to the airport, but not to the Internet

    Hi all; Here's my situation:

I just bought a new Airport Extreme to replace my old router (Linksys). In our House, we have two iPhones 6, as well as the iPad, Apple TV and MacBook Pro that were all bought again this year. All these things were able to connect to the internet using our old wireless router.

As I have configured and installed at the airport, various devices have been able to connect without being able to connect to the internet (i.e. AirPort Utility, the airport connection is a green dot, while the actual internet connection is an orange): first it was the MacBook having this problem while the phones and the iPad have been completely connected. After I simply rebooted everything several times - i.e. the modem, router, and MacBook - I finally got the MacBook fully connected (without really changing all the settings, which are all entered correctly). Now, however, it is the two iPhones that will connect the airport but not actually in the internet.

Any ideas? I must say, these strange little problems idiopathic who seem to always pop up with Apple products are starting to really bother me... I never got my MacBook to connect to the Apple TV via AirPlay.

Any time you change the material or providers of Internet services, networking, it's always a good idea to perform a complete recycling of your network equipment power. Check out the following Tip of an airport users for more details on how to do it. Please post back your results.

  • iPhone cannot connect to the Internet via time capsule

I have a current execution capsule 7.7.7 time. IPhones in my house can't get internet service when it is connected to the time capsule. My iPad, I tap on it now, can get internet time capsule service. My Mac can connect. I restarted the capsule of time with my modem cable many times. My passwords are correct.

I also have a smart Vizio TV that does not connect to the Internet. This is true with wifi and also with a wired connection to the time capsule.

I don't know what the cause of the problem. Any help will be appreciated.

He has worked in the past and now could not or never worked?

Apple routers can sometimes decide autonomously switch to bridge mode. If your cable modem is not a router, you MUST have the apple router... TC in your case DHCP and NAT mode.

If you have not done before you reset the TC at the factory and re-do the installation. Here are my recommendations.

    Universal factory reset

Turning off the TC... That is, remove the power supply cord or the power at the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds... Hold the reset button... be nice... Turn on always even now in reset... and keep holding in for another 10 seconds. You may need assistance because it is difficult to hold in reset and power on. It will show the success quickly flashing led front. Release reset... and wait a few minutes for the TC to reset and return with the factory settings. If the front LED flashes quickly you missed and simply try again. The reset is quite fragile in these... Press the key while it is just click away and not more... I've seen people bend lever or even break. I use a toothpick as a tool.

NB. None of your files on the hard drive of the TC are removed... This simply clears the settings of the router of the TC.

    The installer the TC.

Then redo the configuration of the computer that you want to use for TM using Airport utility.

    1. the use of very short names... NO APPLE RECOMMENDED names. Without the space and pure alphanumeric characters.

for example TCgen5 for the base station and the name of the TCwifi wireless.

If the wireless is still an issue defined wireless names like TC24ghz and assigned the 5 GHz other name... eg.TC5ghz.

Finally, use fixed channels in 2.4 ghz... try 11, 9 and 6, in that order.

(leave the security for a few minutes and see if that makes a difference).

For iphone and TV with problems in your Setup program ensure that the TC is NAT and DHCP... try to use a different such as google public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    2. use all passwords also consistent with 1. but maybe a little longer. IE 8 and 20 characters of mixed cases and numbers... no alphanumeric non-caracteres.

** 3. If the TC is router, you can ignore this point. It is only a problem when the TC is bridged.

If ensure that the TC is always the same IP address... you will need to do this on the main router using a dhcp reservation... or a bit more complex setup by using the static IP address in the TC.

Ignore this point if you don't understand it... after the return if you drop questions.

    4. be sure that IPv6 is set correctly in the computer. IE link-local only for ethernet or wireless depending on whether you are using. Car is not good enough.

Tell us which modem cable, you have, make and model please?

The TC has problems with some popular brands... one of the SB series a modem port is malfunctioning.

  • iPhone will not stay connected to the internet?

    * Posted on MacRumors forums but no answers *.

So basically since a few days my phone sometimes don't remain not connected to the internet network of BT-Hub3. I connect to it and then sometimes, it will stay connected for a minute for a few seconds and then disconnect. When I go to the wifi thing it seems available to connect to. After a couple of times that to happen, it will say wrong password (this is the password) and disconnect me and then I have to type the password. Repeat to infinity. It's honestly so frustrating.

Sometimes it will stay and be fine but his is happened twice in the last few days and never happened before with any phone I've had.

I try my phone with my BT-Hub4 internet network and it will stay connected. The only problem with this is that the internet is further (bottom), so has a low connection that does not charge anything unless I lean on my bed.

Initially, I assumed my internet pick, but I'm typing this I am connected to the network BT-Hub3 without disconnect him, even once.

I had the phone for a year and 2 months (previous owner had since October/November/December in the year of release) and recently got a replacement of the unofficial battery if this of any help. I also still have my phone on the low power mode. The phone always properly connect to the BT-Hub3 network even with unofficial battery and low power however mode.

I had several other problems with the phone (camera, apps download not heat no reason apparent, random battery drains despite the new battery in just 3 months and has the same problem with the battery, slow Touch ID that apparently is not normal), which most recently happened.

I had all the settings to reset a week or two ago but surely if who messed with my settings internet I would have had the internet issue earlier? Not sure if I should try to reset the network settings. I hate this and only do if I need to.

One last note, I have the latest version of iOS so ignore saying his 9.3.2 on

    Hi pinkdolphins0400,

Thanks for posting in the communities of Support from Apple! I understand that you are having problems with your iPhone does not stay connected to your internet connection at home. I use my home Wi - Fi network to stay connected, so I use all the cell data, if I can understand wanting to make sure that you are able to stay in touch. I am pleased to provide you with a few suggestions for you.

The first thing I recommend you do is follow the steps described in the following article. It seems that you have already experienced some of these steps, but I want to be sure that you have covered everything.

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi - Fi network

Since you mentioned that your iPhone will stay connected to your network to another, you can take a look at the network settings for the one that you are having problems staying connected to. Article below provides information about network configurations suggested for Apple devices. You can also check with the manufacturer for your BT 3 - Hub see if there are updates that must be performed. This can cause problems with disconnects.

Recommended settings for the WiFi routers and access points

For other problems you mentioned (apps do not download, camera, battery draining, contact ID, etc.) reset settings was a big step in troubleshooting to try. If these things are always happening, I recommend making a backup of your iPhone and then restore it via iTunes. The backup will ensure that your data is saved. When you perform the restore via iTunes, you'll want to set up as a new device (temporarily), and then test it. Once you test, you can try to restore your backup. You can find all of the information below, you will need.

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    See you soon!

  • our airport time capsule connects to computers and the internet, but does not record on the usefulness of the airport as being there - is it dying or is their a reset?

Our computers connect via wifi to a capsule of time to the airport and to the internet, but can't find the time capsule, nor can its hard drive. Y at - it a reset, we can try or he dies. It's only a couple of months.

Turn about your Airport Extreme for 15 seconds and then power back on. As soon as you see the green light, you should be able to see him for a minute or two in the Airport utility. In the affirmative, and see if you have Back to My Mac active. If so, disable it by removing all the e-mail addresses of the back section of my Mac. Then update your Airport Extreme. Work quickly.

Many have started having this problem within the last week, probably because Apple changed something in its servers CCMM. A real difficulty would come from Apple, but it should work if you currently have active CCMM.

  • Can I connect my old iMac (with no wifi capabilities) to the internet using the cable to my MacBook?

I have an older iMac (PowerMac 6 bought in 2003) that only connects to the internet via a cable directly to the router. I moved this computer out of the range of the router and you want to connect to the internet again. I also have a MacBook (late 2009), which has Wifi capabilities. Is it possible to connect the old iMac to the internet via the MacBook?

Yes, this should be doable. On the MacBook, go to the system Pref > sharing > turn on internet sharing via the Ethernet port.

  • Only Firefox and nothing else will be connected to the internet

Here is what happened. A year ago, I've updated CDA Downloader on my computer. He was working before I did, and after I did, he said that he is not able to connect to the internet. Soon, I realized that this had happened to all currencies on my computer (for example, includuing) with the exception of my old version of Firefox. If I try and update, it stops working too.

I tried everything, including the obvious answers online. I'm not the value of the settings 'LAN', and I did not add-ins, or whatever. Forums like this are frustrating because once other people get their answer, the cat is over, while nothing works for me. It's been a year and it's really VERY frustrating to deal with this for so long. Cannot use aps, impossible to download a LOT of software and can't get my audio books. Can someone help me please?

So, what you say, it's that the problem does not exist with Firefox, but rather the problem is with other programs do not connect to internet - is that correct?
