Connect with sys as sysdba without entering password everyime.
Hellocan someone help me with my question.
the issue is that I want to connect to sqlplus as the user sys with sysdba previlages and don't want to enter password each time. How can I make this answer kindly.
I would like to connect to sqlplus as the user sys with sysdba previlages and don't want to enter password each time.
If your OS username is a member of the OSDBA Group (normally dba on ORA_DBA on Windows, Linux/Unix), you don't need any password (OS authentication):
$ sqlplus / as sysdba

I have used Firefox for years on my Macbook Pro, but recently updated to the Mavericks and now Firefox will not record passwords for any Web site. I don't have this problem with Google Chrome, but I prefer to use FF. I checked to make sure that cookies are allowed in my privacy settings, and I deleted all my cookies and that did not help. I use a lot of password sites in my work, so it's pretty close to hell on Earth.
Details such as websites to remember you (automatically log you) are stored in a cookie.
If the deletion of cookies did not help, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies has been corrupted.
- Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete the other files of cookies as cookies.sqlite - journal in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

Unable to connect with the user or Windows administrator password
I bought a HP Compaq Presario B3800. It has Windows XP Professional installed.
I can't get user or administrator passwords to log on.
I tried to go into safe mode and and using password crackers, every bit of advice I've had so far and nothing.
It doesn't have a password for BIOS Windows admin only.
If anyone has any suggestions short of uninstall and then reinstall Windows it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank youIf you bought it with a password - ask the person who sold it to you the password.

Nope. A lot of passwords are 6 to 12 characters.
No doubt. I deleted 3 cookies prefixed by "story.adobe" and then manually uninstalled a previous version of the story of my HD.
First allow me to log in again, and the second I would install the current application. So, I'm on my way!
Thank you!

DB connection - user SYS with wrong password
Hi all
One strange thing I noticed with the SYS user as Oracle 9i (who has never worked on earlier versions), it is that I can connect to SYS as SYSDBA with wrong password user as well! Please guide how to avoid this...
(I have looked for a solution online but could not find any :())

There is nothing wrong, and nothing should be, IMO, prevented.
When you connect to the server as a user in the Group dba (Unix) or group ora_dba (Windows), you are an advanced user and authentication of the o/s applies to you, and you don't need a password .
Login as the owner of the software (oracle) all the time, what do many DBA, is a bad idea in any case, you can remove anyufile o/s level.Strategies to avoid it:
-Make sure that your account is not in the groups I mentioned
or
-disable authentication of the o/s of editiing sqlnet.oraThe two procedures are documented.
Finally, note someone who has root access can move easily.

Oracle SQL Developer/Oracle 11 g/Windows 7 - cannot connect 'sys as sysdba'
Hello
I downloaded and installed SQL Developer 3.2.20.09, the latest version, separately from Oracle 11 g, because the version provided with Oracle 11 g did not work properly.
Now, I'm trying to connect SQL Developer 3.2 to my instance of 11g Oracle installed on Windows 7.
I can log in with the user name SYS AS SYSDBA using SQLPLUS, text bundled with Oracle 11g, with a password to null and without any problem.
However, when I try to connect to the same instance using the graphical tool based on Java, Oracle SQL Developer 3.2 I get this error:
Status: Failure-Test failed: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
I already checked the computer management and I am already a member of administrators and 'ORA_DBA' groups.
I already checked tnsnames.ora, etc. and everything is indicated as it should.
I also checked my SID and it corresponds to what was named during the installation of Oracle 11 g.
Is someone can you please tell me why I can't connect using SYS AS SYSDBA?Connection to SQL Developer as the user SYS to Getting Started tutorial
