  Problem

  On Friday, my brother pressed end after a call and the BB turns off suddenly. When he tried to restart the screen was blank and the red light flashes. Then he did a battery pull. It does not work. After that, we downloaded the latest OS from Rogers on rims site. Then we followed the 101 on the Crackberry site. We went to the application through the command prompt loader (program files > common files > research in Motion > Apploader > loader.exe / nojvm) and tired many times.   I tried again and using JL Cmdr 1.9.1 was able to wipe the OS. Then I tried to reload the operating system. The process was frozen again. I then my brother found a tip on another Web site. He says to slightly drop the BB and it would work. My brother filed his BB in a carpet and then he could reload the back BONE and fully restore the BB. It's a crazy idea, but in this case, it worked. Although I do not recommend dropping the BB because it could damage it.

  I deleted ~ 200 old contacts out of 600 + contacts in my Outlook. When I synchronize with my BB Bold 9930 using BB desktop and set sync for contacts to be somehow "Computer to the device" and select "Replace all entries on yor device with the entries on yor computer" the synchronization operation does not remoce the 200 my BB contacts that have been removed from my outlook.

  I wonder if you first remove the list of contacts from the blackberry.  Please backup your data first using the Desktop Manager and install blackberry Protect if you did not before trying this.  the protect link is in my signature.

  I recently unlocked Blackberry bold 9700 (At & T USA) in India and using it with vodafone.

  problem is after unlocking iam not able to see the browser. even if I try t (third party app) browser install opra mini is not installing. I want to loop through using a Wi - fi connection available in my place with recording for BIS or BES by vodafone. So please let me know if you guys have any info. also here is the list of questions:

  I don't know what they have done, instead, to block the pin code. However, to remove the policy most likely will give you your hotspot browser. The policy can also block the browser BIS so you will want to get rid of the policy.

  Also, make sure that you don't always have the policy.bin on your pc or it will be applied after the abduction in method 1.

  I managed to synchronize all the data from my Treo680 to my "BOLD" BB!  It works really well! (Contacts, notes, calendar etc...)

  I had a lot of trouble trying to sync in the last days! To help the people there, I´ll post here how I managed to do.

  No need to export and import files. It's very simple. You just need to have the correct version of the software.

  I read here that many have a problem with the BB Desktop device switch Wizard, I had the same problems people report but manages to solve them.

  STEPS TO FOLLOW:

  Regardless of the version of Palm Desktop software, you have, if it s not 4.1 remove and install version 4.1. You can find it on the website web palm´s. (I tried several versions and it worked).

  Any version of the BB DESKTOP MANAGER is bundled with your BB "BOLD", if you have installed in your computer remove it. You need to install from the BB site, version 4.5.

  After installing the above software, connect your BB "BOLD" to your computer and run the BB Desktop Manager´s ' device switch Wizard ".

  It worked for me!

  I have Twitter version installed on my Torch 9800 4.0.0.15 and use Twitter frequently during the last six months. For some reason any I find it anymore the Twitter icon anywhere.  Not for 'all', 'Favorites', 'Attend' or download.  I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, pulling on the battery for a reboot (both with the Blackberry turned on as well as with him OFF), all without success.  It started just the other day.  At around the same time, or shortly before this problem started, I improved the application News/sport "canoe".  Thinking it could have been this upgrade that causes the problem, I now have uninstalled Canoe and went through the same procedures but were unable to remedy.

  Someone had a similar problem?  If so, how do you fix?  I miss using Twitter.

  1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.

  2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
  If you don't see it still, look at the Options > device > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

  If you have exhausted all your chances to enter the correct unlock code, is there nothing more, that you can do. Even if you happen to have the right code now, it is useless. Only the factory can now (legally) unlock your BB. In general, I've heard that the cost of having BlackBerry do this for you will be higher than the cost of just buying a new. But, you are able to ask them... see here:

  Note, however, that this process will begin with a tax...

  If you obtained your unlock code from somewhere, but it was incorrect, that your remedy could be with them - however, they may well wonder why you exhausted all 10 attempts before contacting them.

  If your BB was already locked MEP and you got it from a source that represents as that can be unlocked, then your recourse would be with the seller that you got it.

  I have received several emails today regarding the available upgrades for installed applications, including BlackBerry App World. If I choose the upgrade, I'm greeted by a message that says that I have less than 5 MB of free space and wish to proceed. Before uninstalling applications rarely used to increase the memory, I went to several places to see what is the story. Under device and state info, I says I have 1105181 bytes available. (If it's like RAM, it seems that said number average is low and I should I uninstall infrequently used applications). Then I went to storage, Media Card and tells me that I have a total area of 1.8 GB and 1.7 GB free space. Someone please share some light on this for me? Thanks in advance.

  Your memory of the device and Media Card space are two different things.

  Think of your brain (operating system, applications, etc.) and your Pocket (with pictures and music, video files)

  The memory of your device is low.

  Your support memory card is great.  Cannot install applications on the media memory card.

  So, Yes, I would go to uninstall some rarely used unwanted apps and get put AppWorld to level.

  You can clean the device by going to Options > Security Options > General settings > Menu key > wipe Handheld.  Which will remove all data from the device.  It will not add anything that you may have removed however.  If you want to reload your OS and start again from scratch, follow the instructions here:

  How your voicemail is the installation program is not controlled by the BlackBerry, but your mobile service provider, because voicemail is a feature of carrier.

  Most likely, simply call you your voicemail FROM your device. If you don't know how to do this, call Vodacom and ask.
