Connection remote desktop and printing problems

Hello

I use Windows 7 on my desktop and also connected to Windows Server 2008 R2 to run applications in Windows Server. However, I have noticed there is problem with printer problems. Sometimes, when I tried to print some documents with applications in Windows Server with my printer in my room, connected to the desktop computer, it won't work.

Besides, I need to go to Windows Server, restart the Printer Spooler Service component, so it does not yet. It is a pain.

I also noticed there is to wait about 30 seconds to process any document to print.

Unlike if I print documents directly from my local desktop computer that is running Windows 7 and is connected to a local printer, it takes seconds to print.

My office is connected to Windows Server 2008 via LAN. I wouldn't have such a significant delay in printing.

I also wonder why Printer Spooler needs to be restarted when the printer does not work.

Can someone advise me on this? Peut - what Microsoft looks at this problem and release updates to fix the bug to improve the system?

Thank you

Kind regards

Clement

  • HP envy printer range: HP envy with Win7 Remote Desktop RDP printing problem

    Hello

I have a printer HP envy 5530 works well for my laptop.

When I connect to my Win7 Remote Desktop Server (on which HP envy drivers are also installed) and try printing locally on my HP local printer, it does not work.

When I look at my local mobile print queue, I see two copies of 'Remote Desktop redirected Printer Doc' contained in the queue. One of the queue said copies and then print. Impression size document in the print queue shows 4 KB that is abnormally low, then the missing documents from the print queue, but are not printed on the printer.

Note that I have no problem with the same laptop, same Remote Desktop server, but using a different printer (not HP).

I saw that on several forums (including this one), many users have this same problem but I've never seen a valid response that solves this problem with RDP.

    Any idea?

    Thank you

I solved the problem by creating a new printer on the local computer and configure the port to the Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of the printer and the HP Deskjet 6940 driver use. Deskjet 5500 driver may work as well.

The problem is with the specific Envy 5530 driver.

  • Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Server printing problems...

    Hello

We have recently installed a Server 2008 r2 remote desktop server.  Everything works well except sometimes once a user has printed a large number of documents remotely a print job fails.  The only mistake he gives may not print.

Once this problem starts they then won't even be able to print locally to a printer connected to the server.  The only way to solve the problem is to disconnect and turn it back on.

We checked to see if the spooler is running, it is not a remote printing problem, that it does not start even local print will work for this user.  We also checked to make sure that the print queue is not an uptight work.

    How we solve this problem?

    Hello

Do you use the Intel Proset utility to configure the WiFi connection?
Try to configure the WiFi network using this tool and check if the WiFi network would disconnect again.

I m also interesting this driver Wlan did you use?
Did you use one page of Intel?
If this is not the case, check the Intel page for the new WLan driver version.

  • Remote Desktop redirected printing

Whenever a user connects to one of our terminal servers, a 'Remote Desktop redirected print' appears in the print queue.

I read the solution is to uncheck the "Printer" under "Local resources", but unfortunately, our users need to pass the local printer to their Server Terminal services session.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

  • Connection remote desktop has stopped working

I'm used to be able to connect via the desktop remotely from my computer Windows 7 on my Windows XP computer. Both machines have been recently updated (Windows updates) and now remote desktop doesn't work anymore.

After that the two machines reboot their updates, I tried to connect to the Windows XP computer.  I got a dialog box on my Windows 7 machine (which was never released before) titled "Windows security" and asks me to enter my credentials. It shows my username (which is displayed correctly), and give me the ability to use another account.  There is also a small box downstairs that allows him to "remember my credentials".  As I said, I've never seen this front window.
When I put my password it comes up with another dialog box that reads 'fixing remote connection', where he stops, then fails stating that "the connection attempt has failed."
I checked on the remote computer (XP), that he will accept Remote Desktop connections.  I checked my username and password I use are correct.
I went back to my machine windows 7 and tried to use remote desktop.  This time, I never had the Windows 7 dialog box (one titled "Windows security") it displays the Windows XP login screen (which is what it normally does).  I was able to connect properly.
Now, today, I tried to use the desktop remotely again, but again got this dialog "Windows security" Windows 7 once again and the same problem everywhere.  I can't connect to the XP machine more.
    Any idea what's going on?

  • Connection remote desktop has appeared in my Start menu, but I don't use it, does that mean someone else has had access?

I sat down at my computer today (I'm the only person who uses it) and pulled the top of the start menu. There were four programs listed there that I have not used for several months:

    Remote Desktop connection
    Dreamweaver MX
    Freehand MX
    MS Office Picture Manager

In my opinion, that means that someone had access to my system.

Can I change my remote desktop connection to protect against this, or is a more complete analysis of my machine required?

The remote desktop connection settings include providing everyone the read and Read & Execute access. If I remove these options that will make me safer? Skype uses this access (this is the only thing that could, I think I use)?

I went to system properties and remote access disabled.

  • Win 7 remote desktop and Local printing does not

I cannot using the network printer locally when I use remote desktop to connect to a Vista computer.  Tab resources for RD, I checked the printers.  The only thing I can understand is that my local network printer, not directly connected to my machine.  Whenever I try to print over my remote desktop session, I can not access my local network printer.

I installed the printer drivers on the remote computer and when I try to locate the printer, I get the following error message: "Windows cannot connect to the printer.  Print Server Spooler service is not running... "but the spooler service IS running Board.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I spent a few hours on this one and am at a loss at this point.

UPDATE: I tried to connect my printer to the local USB port this morning.  Still would not work.  I get the same error of queue.  The drivers are not corrupt, as others have indicated may be the cause.  They work very well on my system locally with 7.

I also found a post elsewhere that he issue 'sharing permissions' and 'network permissons' setting to resovle the spooler error.  Still no go.

Help, please.  I really need to print locally.

I finally have figued try after four days and many hours on the phone with Microsoft.  Microsoft said it was related to my router settings, but I didn't believe it because the remote computer has seen my iPhone very well when it was connected locally.  After just playing, here is what I found... it was pretty basic!

On the remote system, when you try to add a 'local' printer, it has a drop-down list with a list of local ports who sees your system remotely.  Some of those who will be on the remote system, but others will be on your local system.  Take note of those that are visible on your local system.  In my case, LPT1 was not visible, but was COM3.

Then, on your local system, in the settings of your printer works (printer, Ports tab properties), there is a checkbox indicating "Enable Printer Pooling."  When you check this box, you can select multiple ports on your local computer.  Here, you must check the box that shows your remote system (in my case, this is COM3), but make sure your exisitng port is checked as well as (in my case, an IP port for my wireless router).  Basically what you do is on your local system, you are pooling your installation existing printer with a port that can be seen by your system remotely.

Then, on the remote system, install the printer drivers, but do not select a port.  Then go to printers and add a printer.  Select 'local' facility for whom and when asked for the port, use the port that you checked in the previous step on your local system (in my case, I chose COM3 on my local system).  Select your printer from the list.  It will ask you if you want to use the existing drivers... say Yes.  Print a test page to make sure it works.  Worked fine for me.

I can simply not believe how obvsious this solution has been!  If the remote system is unable to see the port that you are using currently, pool your configuration with a port that he can see!

  • Toshiba TL 938G - application remote dlna and toshiba problem

I try to use the remote control feature and toshiba dlna app, but I can't when the TV is connected to the network via wifi.

If I connect wired lan and pc or androind tv phone WiFi then everything is ok.
I have tryied three different routers, but if all devices are connected wireless is not possible.

I can use the dlna via wifi from my phone to the pc.

The problem is with toshiba tl938g.
The tv connects via wifi takes ip address normally and I use toshiba places without problem.

I assume you mean on Intel WiDi because I found your other son on the Intel WiDi.

You can use only one WLan connection at the same time.
As far as I know that if you are already connected to the network using the wireless network card, you can not use WiFi to connect the mobile phone.

So if you want to connect via Intel WiDi TV mobile phones you have to unplug the TV from the router.
