  You can try the following methods and check to see if it helps:

  Method 1:

  a. Click Start and select run, type cmd and click OK.

  b. type net stop cryptsvc and press ENTER.

  c. type ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 oldcatroot2, and then press the Enter key.

  d. restart the computer.

  e. open new command prompt and Type net start cryptsvc, and press ENTER.

  Method 2:

  If the same problem persists then you can try to uninstall the network drivers and check.

  a. click the Start button. Select run, type devmgmt.msc and press OK.

  b. Select the network card and right click on it.

  c. now, select Properties.

  d. in the Properties window, on the driver tab, click Uninstall.

  e. After you have uninstalled the drivers, restart the computer.

• BEFSR41 connectivity problem

  I have an old router BEFSR41 V.2 that I pulled from the closet to use.  I can't have internet connectivity once I install it.  I ping the router at 192.168.1.1 but always no internet.  The router is dead?  Should I update the firmware?  I can't find links for this old router.

  I don't think that Linksys still has the firmware for older models of devices like the BEFSR41. I suggest you to reset and reconfigure the router according to the type of connection to your ISP. If you use a cable connection type, remember to clone the MAC address of the router during the configuration process. If you are using DSL with PPPoE, enter your PPPoE username and password on the router configuration page.

  As far as I can see the limit seems to be 20 users... the reason why I say that it is when you share a folder, you cannot increase the limit to users who access the folder above 20?

  The solution would be to install the server operating system instead of a workstation OS.

  The limit is 20 concurrent connections. Remember, however, that one device can do multiple connections.

  In any case you would be much better at this sort of level with an operating system server in any case. Office of the OS are not intended to be used for sharing files on this scale.

  How to identify individual IP addresses of the computer and confirm my own? How to identify the geographical region/city of the different IP addresses?

  IP addresses seem to have 9 numbers - XX. XX. XX.XXX - Sign these individual computers / connection and country town?

  This is related to the identification of hackers in my e-mail address. I have a report of log on the activity that reveals different IP addresses - please answer the layman that I am a little IT not aware

  Hi Philippe,.

  IP addresses have actually 12 numbers - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - but they tend to drop the zeros so it can sometimes fool you.  The following may help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_address and/or http://computer.howstuffworks.com/internet/basics/question549.htm.

  To confirm your address, click on start / all programs / accessories / right-click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.  Then type IPCONFIG/all and enter.   It will tell you your IP address and much more on your connections.  Remember, unless you use a static IP address to your ISP (usually very unlikely), so you have a dynamically assigned address, which means that it could be different every time you connect or remain the same over a certain period to the ISP of time but eventually change even in this case.  If the IP address of your ISP is something of a moving target and tying someone requires knowledge of the address and the time it has been used (and the cooperation of the ISP for this address to provide more details, which I imagine will be difficult to achieve without a court order or something like that).

  You can find information about the owner of an IP address (address may not be the specific but more probably the range of addresses that includes this specific address) using WHOIS.  Here is a place which provides that: http://tools.whois.net/whoisbyip/.  Here's another option: http://www.whois.sc/.  You can find other just Bing search and grabs 'whois' as a search term and you will have more than you can imagine.

  For geographically locating an IP address, do the following: http://www.geobytes.com/ipLocator.htm?GetLocation.  Here's another option: http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/.  Other alternatives, search for 'The IP address index' Bing and you'll still find plenty of options.

  If you have an email from pirates, you can optionally use the following to follow them: http://www.ip-adress.com/trace_email/.

  Once you know who owns the block of IP address or the address itself, you can then contact them to see if you can find a more about those specific you interest if you also have the exact dates and at the times that go with them--but I frankly don't think that they will provide you information without a court order.

  In addition, there are there programs that can be used to hide your IP address or send a false IP address and most of the pirates, using such programs, so even if you try to track it down, you can discover that they have covered their tracks with several false IP (sometimes several dozen) of their own IP address real than you see in the emails addresses and try to track down who is formidable , even for professionals.

  I hope this helps or at least gives you a head start on your quest.  To be honest, the chances to really find these people without being a hacker yourself or hire a hacker are pretty slim, but you might get lucky and if you decide to report it or get help, the more information you can provide, more opportunities they have to do something.

  Open your email account and find the Messenger ad click and connect, have remember your password.

  He is a Messenger option if use you an msn or my msn homepage, you can add hotmail to your home page and it will update automatically, without having to deal with a Messenger.

• Mapped network drive disappears

  I had a problem with a user on my network, when they log off and shut down their system, they are losing one of the 9 mapped drives. It's always the I: drive. The rest of the readers are mapped and simply the I: drive remapping works. The strange thing is that sometimes the player is connecting and sometimes not. Reconnecting to the connection is enabled, when you run the Net Use command, it says "new connections be remembered."

  I made sure there are no devices connected via USB, like phones or external drives. I read in several forum posts on problems similar here and other sites, but none of these solutions have solved my problem. I made the registry changes, changed the drive etc. letter. Considering that there is a problem with one user, I guess the question must reside on his PC. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

• Session variables not cleared

  I am writing an application that uses session variables to hold information to keep my users (it's a simple little app, really). When we have hosted on our internal server, everything worked fine. When the user closes his browser, the session variables have been dumped.
  
  However, we have moved to a new server, and it seems that the session variables are not dumped at all. I logged in on Friday, I closed and turned off my computer and this morning I opened my browser and I was always connected; He remembered the session variables. It is a problem if it's a setting on the server, because we have more access to the CFAdmin settings or server at this point.

  If you where relying on default session time outs defined in CF
  Admin, you can also define in your code with the
  tag or application. CFC this.sessionTimeOut parameter.

  For the sessions of "timeOut" when the browser is closed they must be paid
  to the "J2EE session variables using" in the memory Variables section of the
  The CF administrator. A note, this does not actually remove the variables
  memory when the browser is closed, because the server has no idea who
  that's happened. What is happening, as I understand it, is the
  cookie tokens, the browser have been given are deleted by the browser
  When it closes. So when it is opened again the new chips are generated
  who are associated with a new "session" on the CF Server

  I think what can be done with non-J2EE sessions, but there

• Question about 10 g and 11 g on the same server

  I installed 11g on my dev machine (RHEL) and that you have managed to create a new database. Over time, I will also work on upgrading existing databases that reside in 10 g. But, before you start, I was wondering what I should do to be able to connect remotely to each instance. I can't find any documentation on how to configure tnsnames and the listener in a stream environment. I try to minimize service disruptions as well. Any help would be appreciated.

  You have two options:
  (1) run a single listener that will listen to two databases.
  (2) run several headphones each listening to different databases.
  Personally, I like several headphones, but have successfully used two approaches.

  Approach unique listener, use the listener for the latest version of the database. Usually, it will be retro-compatible and support for connections to an old database. The older listener may not function properly with a newer database.
  In the listener.ora under your 11g ORACLE_HOME/network/admin file, you must specify the ORACLE_HOME database for each database that the listener will listen.
  For example, I have the following listener.ora:

  SID_LIST_LISTENER =
    (SID_LIST =
      (SID_DESC=(GLOBAL_DBNAME=ora111)(ORACLE_HOME=/Oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1)(SID_NAME=ora111  ))

  For multiple listener approach, you'll need each listener to listen on a different port. The example above to listen on port 1526. The default port is 1521.
  For many headphones, each will have its own listener.ora file, and each must have its own port number.
  The tnsnames.ora file must specify the correct port number (the one that is using the listener for this instance).

  If you have connection problems, remember that you can test the Oracle name resolution using tnsping
  Make sure the name of your database is resolved (using tnsnames.ora or ldap or whatever you use) to correct host, port, and SID/service.

• How to set up with several DB on source

  I configured correctly 2 linux with GG 10.4 servers and oracle 10.2 for replication from simple tables.
  So I got a source on server1 database and a target on the server server2 (2 datasources on my Director of GG)
  I need now had a new source on server1 database and replicate arrays on the same Server2 (another destination schema).
  How can I do this?
  Do I need a new install of GG on server1 (as Manager of process seems to bee have inaugurated a DB)?
  Or just add a new snippet of my another db?

  Hello.

  If the second source database is the same version of Oracle that the first and running on the same box, then all you need to do is add another excerpt and explicitly set the ORACLE_SID (if you do not use a TNS alias to connect, but remember he still needs to access the redo logs) and possibly the ORACLE_HOME if it happens to be different. To replace any variable of environment in your snippet or replicat use the SETENV parameter before the connection information (USERID parameter). For example:

  SETENV (ORACLE_SID = "ORA102")

  If the second source database is a different version (major) then you will need to download the appropriate build and work outside the home another OGG.

  Don't forget, a replicate can only read from a path, then you will have at least two replicates on your target - one for each track on the source.
