continue to receive a PLAY dll runtime error ~ 1/Updater.dll
I receive a run dll error the following:
There was a problem starting C:\users\Tina\Appdata\Local\PLAYTO~1\updater.dll. The specified module could not be found.
Recently, I received a message of low disk so I went into Control Panel and remove all the games I have not play or using more after doing so I compressed drive c to help with disk space. After doing this I started getting the run dll error message. Since 2 days I've been running windows update, Mcafee Security, Microsoft Security Essentials, Super Anti Spyware, Malware bytes, msconfig.exe, sfc Center and action to try to correct this problem for 2 days and it becomes very frustrating and annoying. I'm about to break the laptop against the wall. Can anyone help me please with this problem?
Thanks for any help on this
Tina
Tina, this problem is probably initiated 'Task Scheduler' of the Wndows.
Go to Windows "Help and Support", and then search for the tool "Task Scheduler."
Read the information provided by "help and Support". Follow the instruction and "click to open Task Scheduler.
Review the list of 'Active tasks' and you will probably see the scheduled task "Update Playtopus".
Get rid of it!

In XP, receiving c:/runtime error, the application must put end to

Hi AleezaMeira,
1. did you of recent changes on the computer?
2. you receive the error message when opening any program on the computer?
3 when was the last time it was working fine?
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Runtime errors, weird invites you to download and weird problems, play games.
Alright. Start with, I use Microsoft Security Essentials, Ad-aware, Spybot and keep Windows Defender up. I do not download music or movies or games. I keep it updated with the latest definitions and run full scans every two days.
That said, there is a problem somewhere and I don't know what it is or how to fix it. Everything started when I opened a session on Yahoo! one day and noticed that it would allow me to open a message. AIM has simply refused to let me comment, too. In fact, any time when I needed a small window or application to appear, such as small pop window Yahoo! Insider-up news or screen beta for Starcraft 2, World of Warcraft news page, he tried to open it in a full window of Firefox.
Try to connect on Yahoo! would cause future guests wondering where and if I wanted to save some files. Including an element called NAVCAN, iexplore.dll, various applications of the page and what you have. It's like infrastructure, the computer uses to distribute correctly these things disappeared.
I don't know where I'm supposed to put, where they are supposed to go or how to get these files from data lost to go where they are supposed to be. When I go to start > maintenance and then select one of the options to try and use it, it loads a bit and then tells me Microsoft Vista had a runtime error c ++.
I run Windows Vista 32, I think as an nation edition/standard.
Wut do? :(
Hello
I suggest you try the following steps to refine the question
Step 1: Put the computer in a clean boot and a test to see if the problem persists
Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.
Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.
Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

I continue to receive Norton Security reports that a download with the pre RadioWMPCoreGecko fix. followed by various suffixes like dll '19.dll' or 05.Marco, 06 08 etc... takes a lot of computer resources. Can you explain what it is, as I understand it, it is called by Firefox.
This DLL can be part of a Firefox extension.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

What is the operating system installed on your computer?
You can try to uninstall and reinstall the game and see if that solves the problem. Follow the link given below to uninstall the game.
Uninstall or change a program
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program
If you try to play the game on Windows 7, this may not work as there is no information on the compatibility of the game. You try to install the game in compatibility mode and check if that helps. To install a program in compatibility mode follow the link below.
