  database is limited to a maximum of 2048 entries, default count is 512. This
  
  database is shared by local management users (including lobby ambassadors),
  
  net users (including guest users), MAC filter entries, and disabled clients.
  
  Together, as long as all of these types of users do not exceed the
  
  configured database size of 2048 you are ok.

• ORA-00020: maximum number of processes exceeded

  All respected DBAs,

  Today I faced an issue. I found below statement alertlog file and when I tried to connect to the base of this error came on the command line.

  "ORA-00020: maximum number of processes exceeded 150.

  Then I restarted my Oracle Service, connected to the database and questioned

  select * from v$ resource_limit and found this result.

  Process

  CURRENT_UTILIZATION = 52

  MAX_UTILIZATION = 61

  INITIAL_ALLOCATION = 150

  LIMIT_VALUE = 150

  Sessions

  CURRENT_UTILIZATION = 53

  MAX_UTILIZATION = 60

  INITIAL_ALLOCATION = 248

  LIMIT_VALUE = 248

  If my process is exceeded then why MAX_UTILIZATION = 61 only? Please, help me to understand this.

  This view is dynamic (it will reset on reboot) and restart you the database.

  So you can only say that after the restart of the database the number of processes is already 61.

• Private Distribution list 25 maximum number of users

  On my system, users receive a message stating that they have added the maximum number of users to their distribution list private after the 25th Member via the TUI. The Administration of the unit guide indicates that there is not a limit on the number of users that can be added to a private Distribution list.

  Is there a limit of 25 reviews?

  This is a bug in conversation - is taking over when we used to have to cram all members of the list in a binary blob and other things in an extended property to an Exchange 5.5 object back in the day - there have been forced space, so we had to limit the members of the DL.

  SA/APC removed this restriction everything at the time, but just UIS missed it - it is followed in this bug:

  Looks like the limit is fixed in version 4.0 (5) to come.

• Windows 7 disk management utility does not allow for creating simple volume: maximum number of partitions exceeded error

  I am trying to create a new partition in Win7 using the disk management utility. Shrank lecteurC existing to create unallocated space. Am not able to create a simple volume with this space unallocated due to the following error message.

  "You cannot create a new volume in this unallocated space because the disk already contains the maximum number of partitions".

  How to fix this or go around with another method to create partitions?

  You will need to convert the dynamic disk before creating the extra partition. To do this in disk management:

  -Right-click the disk 0 (gray area) which indicates the total size of your hard drive

  -Select 'convert to dynamic disk.

  Once you have converted to dynamic disk, you will be able to go and create the new simple partition.

  I know that the maximum number of dimensions is 20 for an application and for better performance, we shouldn't have more than 12 years, but if we plan different types? I found the below in the psb user guide:

  "Applications are supported up to 20 dimensions. However, optimal performance, not more than 12 dimensions must be attributed to each Type of Plan. »

  I have therefore 20 dimensions by plan type, or application? and that optimal performance it should be 12 dimensions by plan type, not by the application?

  The limit is for a planning application for a type of plan... You can add dimension to choose to exist for a type of plan in particular.

• An FTP error occurred - cannot connect to the host. Maximum number of users reached or not authorized to make the connection because of local firewall blocks FTP data

  For days now, I have tried every index in the book simply download a page Web of DW CC. I get this error no matter what I do. I asked the server administrator to check. With so many variables and so many simple solution, which seems a matter of luck if it works or not, simply download your page.

  There are two different questions:

  1. Dreamweaver cannot connect to your site by FTP, but may of FileZilla.
  2. Uploaded by FileZilla pages are not displayed.

  Assuming that the files downloaded by FileZilla are correct root folder, the second question is the result of your being not properly propagated via DNS servers domain name. It could also have an impact on the first question (Dreamweaver cannot connect because it can't find the correct server).

  You should contact your hosting and Network Solutions company (where you have registered the domain name) to ensure that the correct name servers have increased to oyafilm.com. Until this issue is resolved, it is impossible to untangle why Dreamweaver cannot connect.

• Unable to deliver - maximum number of hops exceeded

  The message is not likely to be delivered.   If the underlying LDAP protocol is able to handle 50 million entries, then OAM will not have a lot of problems to deal with on the basis of more than 50 million users.

• ORA-00018. Exceed the maximum number of sessions

  I have a windows Server 2003, oracle 10g release 2.
  connection of 300 users competitor.
  
  My SESSIONS parameter = 800
  My PROCESS parameter = 723.
  
  After 2 or 3 days, I got the following message when I try to connect.
  
  ORA-00018. Maximum number of sessions to exceed.
  
  even I have restart my server, I got this number sometimes.
  
  What is the problem? I'm really in a very bad situation, users can not connected.

  Please post output commands below:

  Select the value of the parameter $ v where name = "sessions";
  Select count (*) in the session of v$.
  Select * from v$ resource_limit;

  If you see the 3rd command output as equal values in all the columns then its correct and Oracle returned ORA-00018.

  Then, V$ SESSION is fake! It does not report all sessions really in use. If you look in V$ SESSION see text (with the help of V$ FIXED_VIEW_DEFINITION), you will see that V$ SESSION reports of the sessions USER and only BACKGROUND.

  But there is a 3rd type of session - a RECURSIVE session, which is used for recursive calls data dictionary as explained above. V$ SESSION does not display these.

  So what is the moral of this story?

  Oracle uses recursive sessions for recursive data dictionary operations
  These sessions are also taken from the array of objects in session state controlled by the session setting
  V$ SESSION shows no recursive sessions, but V$ RESOURCE_LIMIT told it the truth about the use of the session state object table
  If you hit the error ORA-00018, and then expand your table of parameters of sessions or configure your application to use fewer connections or sessions

  Note that Oracle 11.2 changed the automatic calculation of parameters of sessions and large number of session state objects is attributed to a number of default process.

  In our dataguard environment, even if the number of database backup process was 2000 (wide enough), we get the error as below.

  Errors ORA-20 will not be written to the log of alert for the next minute. Please see the trace files to see all the errors ORA-20.

  Currently, the listener is down and there is no log shipping/apply. After the restart it was working fine. But even now if we check the number of processes, it is now to increase every 10 minutes.

  Initially, the number of processes has been 1000.as we had the same error we has increased by 2000. But still, we are facing this problem.

  Kindly advice on that.

  dbconsole is configured separately for the primary and standby.  You could stop it on the day before.

  Check what is the intention that works on standby mode.  The DBA intend to use it to monitor the database pending?

  Unlike enterprise manager that maintains a centralized repository, database control (dbconsole) maintains the repository in the same database that is monitored.  So it might be tempting * writing * to the database.

  Dear team,

  After interruption of the Application processes have increased and he hit ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (1000) exceeded.

  Now that we have increased the value of 1000 to 1200 process issue is resolved.

  V$ PROCESS captures no USERNAME and MACHINE (because the user has not been authenticated on the database server).

  I would look through the listener.log file to identify the remote control (ie. application server) IP addresses.

  You can set the listener.log as an external Table file and interrogate him.  (Listener.log and external table on google search, there are several ways)
