control ActiveX engine step by step

I have a controller of motors stepper Softmark USB which uses an activex ocx. I have the basic Labview control that is provided by Softmark (Softmark.vi). I would like to rrre to add more control to the activex as indicated by (step80.vi) but I'm not sure of my interface with ActiveX. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a motor controller not no Phidgets 4 (~ $ 60) and with a little help from trainer seminar of LabVIEW, I put in place to do exactly what I needed. The speed is a little slow (383 semitones per second), but it is fairly accurate and the software is easy to use in LabVIEW.

Hey, I'm doing my last year of electronic engineering project and I'm trying to control 2 Motors step by step with labVIEW. A microphone will be placed on a platform that the stepper motor control and adjusts the position of the platform according to noise levels read from the microphone. To control stepper motors, I use 2 controllers engines step by step Sparkfun.com.

These controller requires input of pulse. I'll use a DAQ 6008, but I don't know if this can produce a pulse? • NI Stepper drive is compatible with NEMA 11 both NEMA 42 engines step by step?

I have an NI PXI-7350(Motion Controller), a UMI7774 or (Universal Interface), and a (Stepper Drive) P70530 NOR and tried to connect the new NEMA 11 stepper motor actuator linear Hayden Kirk and kept getting a constant red flashing light on the driver. I then plugged my new actuator linear motor NEMA 23 stepper Hayden Kirk and the pilot got the green light ahead go and it worked fine. I consulted the manual and saw that the driver was compatible NEMA 17-34 Steps. I tried the third affecting both the NEMA 11, nothing helps. Does anyone know a player NI Stepper, which is compatible with my UMI and motion controller and is also compatible with a NEMA 11 and NEMA 42 (another engine step by step I need) stepper motors?

    Hello T.I.

It is true that our engine controls step by step only have been evaluated and tested for engines not to not NEMA 17, 23 and 34 size. I personally haven't seen or worked with readers with the NEMA 11 or 42 engines step by step, but given that NEMA standards are only a standard size, as long as your engines are under tension, power and plug for your engines to P7000 series inductance, walk, then they should be able to work.

  • Change settings of the add-on ActiveX/COM-step programmatically

I would like to change program settings of the add-on ActiveX/COM-step (Automation server, object reference, class of object, method/property, list of parameters).

Could not find this in context. How can it be changed?

    Thank you!

    Hey bestware,

You need to get a reference to the step: RunState.Sequence.Main ["MyActiveXStep"]

Then you can use it to convert the ActiveX module: RunState.Sequence.Main ["MyActiveXStep"]. Module.AsActiveXModule

Once you have that you can do whatever you want with it.  You can read to help more with this.  Search for ActiveXModule.

You can see all kinds of properties: MemberType, MemberName, ServerID, ActiveXReferenceExpr.  If you have read about them they are referring to different things that you want to set.  For example, the ActiveXReferenceExpr is where you store the object reference.  The MemberType is the method call (1), Property (2) Get Set Property (4) or not, Call(-1), etc...

So to change the step to be a step to Get property I would do this:

    "" "RunState.Sequence.Main ["MyActiveXStep"]." Module.AsActiveXModule.MemberType = 2

To store a reference to the object to Locals.MyObj I could do this:

    "" "RunState.Sequence.Main ["MyActiveXStep"]." Module.AsActiveXModule.ActiveXReferenceExpr = "Locals.MyObj".

Hope that gives you you pointed in the right direction.

  • Running two engines step by step at the same time of a port

    Hello

I have to run two motors at the same time - was used to move a linear ball screw and the other to get a grip. I do voltage and test on small twist wires, but the tension and torsion must be made at the same time. I must also build capacity for each engine to take several steps, IE. have an engine steps number at speed x and then move x number of speed z steps. The two engines must be able to do. However, I have problems to make the engines to run at the same time and to take all measures. The engines are connected to two RMS Technologies R356 controllers. The two controllers are then connected to a RS485 to USB converter card and this card is connected to one of the USB ports on the computer. Currently, I spend an array of orders to two loops each VISA containing read and written. I have attached the vi to watch. All the stuff in the code synchronization is because a new order cannot be sent to the controller until the engine is running the previous command. If orders are sent right after the other, the controller will not execute the first command and then return with an error.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Error control ActiveX 9.0 CVI - 143

I already searched the forum but none of the suggestions help me; the problem is easy to replicate, so I hope someone could help me...

I have compiled and created a version for the example provided with cvi 9.0 \userint\activex\webbrowser.

This example works very well (in debug mode, if I run out and if I install version) but ONLY on machines where CVI 9.0 is installed.

If I install on a fresh Windows XP Pro SP3 with Internet Explorer 7.0, the program crashes with an error of control ActiveX-143.

The same accident even if I use a fresh WinXP Pro SP2 with IE 6.0 and Windows XP Pro SP2 with IE updated to version 7.0.

How can I have the example webbrowser working on machines without CVI 9.0 development system?

The bug is that the container ActiveX ICB has a dependency on the VC runtime that does not know the distribution kit. Many applications install the runtime (for example, CVI) VC, which explains why this happens only on a "fresh" XP install

The solution is to add the merge module attached to your distribution kit. It will install the VC runtime with your application when it is installed on the target computers.

Hope that this action has solved your problem and sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Control ActiveX of Flash Player could not be registered - no solution works

I don't get the "control ActiveX of Flash Player cannot be saved" when I try to install 11 on IE9 (Windows 7 64-bit).  I tried everything that was suggested in other posts and forums without success.  It's driving me crazy and prevent me from working.  Can someone please?  Thank you!

I've just had this problem and have been in charge of research and looking for a way to solve this problem. I have a 64 bit Windows 7 system and this was happening with IE 9. But I found the solution.

Go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/494/cpsid_49419.html and follow these instructions. It worked for my system and I was able to install albums the newest flash without any problems.

    • Make sure that you are connected to a Windows administrator account. If you're not, you will not be able to use SubInACL.
    • Follow the installation instructions. Make sure you only install SubInACL (subinacl.exe) to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools.
    • Open the fp10.zip file and extract the reset_fp10.cmd file to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\.
This file and SubInACL (subinacl.exe) must be in this directory.
    • Double-click reset_fp10.cmd. A command window will open and SubInACL will run.
Do not use the machine while SubInACL is running.
    • After SubInACL is completed, you will see a prompt "Press any key to continue".
    • To verify that your installation was successful, see the about Flash Player page. At the top of the screen, you should see a message that says "Adobe Flash Player successfully installed."
  • How to generate digital impulses to run the engine step by step in a sinusoidal motion using the NI DAQ 6229 map profile

    Hello

I finally found a way to do it. The analog sine wave is converted to digital and sampled. The consecutive values are compared and if the least significant bit (LSB) will change a pulse is sent to the stepper motor to activate a single step.

I've included the sub - VI who accomplish it for block engine and connector of particular Stairmaster I have. The front panel two sub - VI is quite messy, but the diagrams should be much clearer. The sub - VI get inputs from a third VI which I didn't understand. Then take a look at table VI of connector to understand. I hope this helps. A little messy but worked very well in the end of my application.

Thanks again for all the help. I appreciate that very much.

  • Engine step doesn't fail before reaching its physical limits for the sinusoidal movement

    Hello

My ultimate goal is to skip a XY (via 2 linear actuators) in a circular motion (radius of 0.47 ") at a frequency of 1 Hz. I run the example VI 'Demo circle' which received my copy of LabView, version 9.0.

The problem I encounter is that given the physical limitations of the engine and the drive motor, the task should technically be feasible (see calculation *). However, even when the engines are completely discharged (no not attached to anything whatsoever), they start missing steps away from my final goal. I'm only able to reach a radius of 0.2 "(vitesse de pointe de 1.25" / seconde). "

My question; Is the system set up incorrectly or is my final goal unrealistic, given performance reductions inevitable due to software/hardware?

I apologize for the naivety of this question, but if there is any information that you may provide which might shed some light on this problem, I would be very happy.

    Possible theories:

Torque is decreased more at high speeds because of microstep

A closed loop system would improve performance at high speed

The VI 'Demo circle' is not the best method to create a circle

The acceleration is the limiting factor, not speed

    * RADIUS = 0.47 "

    Maximum speed = (RADIUS * 2 * pi) * cos(2 * pi)

    Maximum speed = 2.9 "/ second"

    System:

    LabView v9.0

    PCI-7340

    open loop configuration

    MID-7604

    1 4 a per axis

    10 micro steps

    Linear actuator (form is attached)

NEMA 17 ordered by motor (sold by ultra-motion).

Maximum speed of 3.3 inches per second

    1. 2A voltage coil

    1.8º step angle

    Kind regards

    Nick

    Nick-

I really wonder the max speed in the datasheet.  0,0833 "/ to 3.3" rev / s = about 40RPS (2400 RPM), which is extremely fast for a motor, especially at 24VDC.  Know exactly what engine is on the cylinder and go to www.applied-motion.com and you should be able to find curves of torque for that or a similar engine with various readers.  You will see that couple to 24VDC curves are not good.  In addition, ask Ultramotion if their speed/strength curve is theoretical, or tests have been conducted.

  • Engine step by step running an event Structure

    Version: Labview 2012

I have an event within a state machine structure. I want to use the State to choose each drive a motor by defined parameters, State of the 'ok' button or via the signal by a State to "pay input" of the knob, there is also a timeout State.

The expiration time and OK button States work properly, input state for does not work. I enclose a copy of my complete code, although it may not be easy to follow, and also pictures of the States.

I took the initial a sample code. In the example of that input state to pay has been fuelled by a dial, I changed it be motivated by the input value to pay. I think that the motor does not move it is because the State of entry for does not (using the probe) but I can't work on how to make it run. When you use a dial I think that the use of the dial executed somehow the State. I may be wrong in my assumption that the executing State is the problem.

Any help or advice on how to get this to work would be appreciated.

For an entry is an indicator, it will not trigger a value change event. Instead of connecting the new value of the indicator to connect to a node property set to 'value (signaling)', this triggers the event to change the value.

  • Control ActiveX Mozilla & Plug in causes of support 1.0.0.4 my XP machine to get slow way. Is there a problem with it? I had to disable the Add On.

With this active Add On, the system seems to be cycling in and out of repeated calls to "verify" something, I guess, adding an irritating delay for surfing the internet. I've seen no detrimental effect to the deactivation of this Add On to this day. It happens on some sites worse than others, but most is affected.

Plug th Mozilla ActiveX Control is causing problems, and Mozilla have taken steps to block. Over the next few days a blocklist update should automatically be downloaded, which will result in this plugin automatically blocked.

  • Adobe PDF Reader - control ActiveX Internet Explorer 11 fails with unspecified error.

Hello, I'm responsoible to our company's web applications. Part of this application displays PDF files into the browser. Please read the overview of things that I already tried before offering suggestions. I write here before raising the issue through CC for the support teams in the hope that someone is aware of the solution or workaround.

Recently, we received a large number of requests for assistance regarding files PDF no longer display in the browser window on Internet Explorer 11 despite the current plugins and update being installed. I have reproduced this problem on several machines now. All are running Windows 7 Professional x 64 with IE11, and all Microsoft and Adobe updates are up-to-date. I have limited access to test on other combinations of BONE; However, given the number of customers who have called us, I am sure that the issue is widespread.

When you try to instantiate the ActiveX control, there is a non-specific error returned: "Error". The following code in the console displays the message:

    try {var ax = new ActiveXObject ("AcroPDF.PDF") ;} catch (e) {console.log (e) ;}

    • I tried using the latest version of the plugin installed by XI Acrobat or Adobe Reader XI (11.06.70). Uninstalling and reinstalling does not solve the problem.
    • I ran the installation repair on the Help menu in Reader and Acrobat, nothing helps.
    • ActiveX filtering does not cause the issue. I checked that it is disabled. The control is not blocked by the preference of the user. I checked that it is authorized to run the site in my configuration.
    • Internet Explorer, Enhanced Protected Mode is not causing the problem. I tested in several security zones and lowered all minimum of IE to the strict security settings.
    • The number of instances of increments AcroPDF.dll during an attempt to instantiate the control, then it is called by EI; "Error" is returned from the DLL not the OLE Automation Server.
    • Other ActiveX controls can be instantiated and will work perfectly, including controls only 32-bit.
    • I tried editing the registry has suggested to "HCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\TabProcGrowth" (DWORD) to 1 to no effect.

Thank you, everyone for the advice.

I fixed this problem by following these steps:

    -Reset IE11 (Tools-> Internet options-> advanced)

-Start the ActiveX Installer service in services
