HP Pavilion 10z-f100: laptop suddenly turned off and cannot turn on

I was using my computer when it shuts down suddenly. I thought that my battery is low, but when I plugged it in, it lights

Then the power adapter may very well have failed. The indicator is a diagnosis.

If the laptop is still under warranty, the power adapter is a part of replaceable warranty.

Check the status of your warranty here.

  • Pavilion dv6tse - 3100: laptop screen turns sometimes and sometimes does not work

When I turn on my laptop, there is a chance that the monitor does not light. What to do when this happens is I turn it works again and again until the screen lights up finally. When it lights up, it works very well and stays on until I turn it off and then the problem can repeat once again. Notes: I tried to connect to an external monitor and the TV via HDMI, and there is no signal when the monitor won't turn on, but works perfectly if the monitor does not light. If the screen lights up or not, everything else seems to work fine as I can blindly off keys and hear the music of connect/disconnect.

  • My laptop suddenly crashed. And I think that my HDD just smoked.

My laptop crashed. So I tried to turn it off. When I turned it on, it says "operating system not found '. So I tried to compensate for the hard drive and it worked. But then all of a sudden the laptop failure and we smoke to come. I don't know where it comes from, but I think it's from the hard disk. I don't really know what to do. Guys, please help me.

It is unlikely that the hard drive itself caused the 'smoke', the most common being the components of power supply on the motherboard for the laptop.

If under warranty, then you must contact the supplier/manufacturer to make a claim.

If out of warranty then your 1st number is has actually failed road as if not, it should be possible to retrieve all the files from the drive. Remove it from the computer and plug the unit to a dock, USB drive would allow you to play the files on another computer.

If the motherboard has failed then an older laptop this is rarely economically sensible to repair as the cost of parts and labor quickly approach up to a new laptop.

  • Satellite R630 DVD drive is power off and cannot turn on again

For the first time, I tried to use DVD drive to install software. However, I found that his power was turned off. I checked the manual, which suggests that the FN + TAB key to turn on. But nothing happened after that I indexed both keys. I don't know what to do now. Thanks for your suggestions!

    Hello

It s really strange that FN + TAB combination of keys doesn t work I often use this key combination to power on/off of the DVD player and it has always worked

In any case, have you checked if the CD/DVD drive is listed in Device Manager correctly?

Usually, if some keys FN n t work you must reinstall Flash Cards Support utility and added value package. These two tools can be downloaded from the official website of Toshiba:

I hope that it helps :)

  • internal speakers off and cannot turn on again

I tried to connect my laptop to my HD TV so I did the HMDI my reading by default but I have disabled the internal speakers and now I can't figure how to get back them on. The sound is played through my tv but when I unplug the cable HDMI that do not play speakers. IM using a HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx model.

    Hello

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and click playback devices.  Right-click in a blank area of the window and make sure that there is a tick next to "Show disconnected devices" and "Show disabled devices".  If you now see your option "speakers and headphones, right-click on this entry and Activate it or as a default value according to the State, it is in.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

  • Laptop frequently is off and does not restart even when the Start button / stop is held in

I have a notebook dv7-3060us running Windows 7, some mornings (every few days or weeks), I find, powered out and does not.  In press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds has no effect.  I have to unplug and remove the battery to restart.  What happened several times.  I tried it with the battery removed, and it fails again, then.

A software problem can cause this?  I thought that holding the power button causes a material interruption and the BIOS takes over.

Is there a known hardware problem which can cause this?

    Thank you

    Adam

    Hi Sean,.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, the steps listed for a hard reset was precisely what was needed to market every day.  So, we did about 50 times.  The real issue was whether a software problem could cause the phone to require a hard reset every time.

After not getting no response for a few weeks, I have restored your computer from a backup, I made after the update in the first place and then re-set everything.  So far, it has remained stable, which brings me to the conclusion that it is, in fact, a software issue.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 8: the monitor shuts off and cannot back up to Vista

    Hello

I have the Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 with original Vista. Sometimes, I have some problems with the display (I have the latest drivers).
The monitor turns off (not as usual but it is gray instead of black) applications flow normally (I hear the music of film, this) but I can't get back into windows.

When I push button hibernation and I try to go back to windows, I see the blue screen then the computer resets.

It happens very often and is really frustrating because my internet disconnects and downloads.

I don't think that the temperature is too high because I think it's cool. How to fix this?
Maybe some graphics settings or new BIOS?

Please help me. I can't stand it!

  • Laptop does not charger and cannot get into the Bios, help!

Hi, I own an Acer Aspire 6935 G, so far he treated me so. Recently, the charger port broken (one of the wires came loose). I have brought a replacement and mounted in it, but on my charger fuse blew!

Then I took another replacement just to the case where there has been previous replacement I bought and nothing major, new replacement seems to work well (lighs load lights up) but it does not all power in the laptop. Witnesses of load lights as indicated, but the laptop won't before the Acer splash screen. Due to the battery being dead, I can't access bios set up so I can check the status of my laptop not enter recovery. I was wondering if it could be something other than a hardware problem, and if this is the case; It is expensive to do is fixed or am I better off buying a new laptop?

    Thanks in advance!

    This is a:

    Acer Aspire

    6935G

    Intel Core DuoT6400

    4 GB OF RAM

    Windows 7 Ultimate

Edit: There is think beep when the chargers plugged into the lapto, if that makes a difference?

Lugman > recently, the charger port broken (one of the wires came loose). I have brought a replacement and mounted in it, but blew the fuse on my charger! >>>

Sorry, but it does look like a hardware problem. Sounds like the power supply may be about to blow another fuse. I think you have a short or large scale electric leakage somewhere that prevents charging of the battery and power - it but maybe not enough (yet) to blow another fuse or switch off the LEDs.

First remove the battery and power connections before you tear things. The first place I would look is around the port of loading where your problems started and hope that it's not deeper in the system where it can cause some MB or more serious damage. Look for the places where the lines of welding on the System Board may be in contact with a screw or a metal on the ground. While you're there, reconnect both ends of all accessible Ribbon (like the video and keyboard) connectors. Also to the HARD drive, modules of memory vivid and all the other connectors for component for good measure.

Once you have checked everything, and before you have wound all caches and screws, see if you can carefully insert the battery into the receptacle and plug the charger. Don't try to power. You can do this on an insulating surface to avoid the land of naked drivers. The LED light looks like he is in charge? If so, let it continue to charge without trying to power on. I think after 4-5 hours, the led that would indicate a fully charged battery. If so, I would try and then power on. If not, and it's still seems to be in charge, stop, do not try to and we will draw the next steps.

    Hello

The games can be hardware intensive (graphics, etc.) and your problem seems to come from a combination of special games and a build-up of dust in your laptop.

It may be an overheating problem and it is normally the main reason for your problem.

    .

If it's a hardware problem, it would not not to restart.

That said, it is possible to have a hairline cracks in the motherboard, etc, which becomes obvious as soon as it warms up

Check vents for hair, dust, etc. and do not use a laptop when it is based on material surfaces: bedspreads, blankets, etc.

If the problem persists, because it of a laptop, bring it to a local computer and reliable repair shop and get them to open and clean the dust inside...

Here is an interesting discussion about the reasons for your problem:
