Conversion of ASM boutien
Hello
has anyone tried to mount a drive to big endian asm (AIX for example) on little endian env (linux x 86)?
I have a disc which KFED is able to read but ASM is unable to mount because of the incompatibility boutien.
Thank you!

I already tried, will not work and is not supported by Oracle.
Each AU, measurement, etc... have own change ENDIAN, it corrupt manually and ASM block.
https://forums.Oracle.com/thread/2387671
Big-endian files differently to little-endian. In a little-endian file, these bytes are reversed compared with big endian files.
Some compilers have options to generate code that allows global conversion for all file i/o operations. This allows to reuse the code on a system with the "endianness" opposed without having to change the code itself. If the compiler does not support this conversion, the programmer must swap the bytes via ad-hoc code. (I think that ASM is not only)
If you have number 0xDEADBEEF in a big endian platform, in little endian platform system stored in the form 0xEFBEADDE), because you will need a compiler to convert the data, the "kfbh.endian" parameter is only a parameter change will damage you the datablock.

Dear friends,
I try to convert file system RAC ASM normal fielsystem using the DB with RMAN duplication method. DC, I want to create a new database duplicate of asm source database to normal file system destination. I use the Oracle 11 g R2 on linux. That's why I use the sub process:
I have successfully all the steps as below:
(1) take rman backup on/u01/rmanback:
Run {}
Configure channel device type disk format ' / u01/rmanback/%U';
full backup of database format ' / u01/rmanback/%d_%U.bkp' more archivelog format ' / u01/rmanback/%d_%U.bckp';
ARCHIVELOG BACKUP ALL.
}
(2) configure the tns and earphone with success
(3) create pfile as below and place it in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs location:
dupdb.__db_cache_size = 310378496
dupdb.__java_pool_size = 4194304
dupdb.__large_pool_size = 4194304

create the required directories of bdump, cdump, adump and udump places and also directories for the database files.
5)
Copy the backup files from the source to the target computer to the same directory "rmanback/u01 / '.
6)
rman target $ [oracle@server dbs] = sys / [email protected]:1521 / auxiliary rac.localdomain.

Now, since I managed to copy and paste the backup with the files on the destination machine archivelogs, then why he seeks the archivelog finally. I try the method several times but every time the database cannot be opened due to the loss of some archivelogs.
My database is mounted and would someone please tell me, is it possible to open the database without missing some archivelogs in this stadium?

How to copy a controlfile to an instance of the DSO to a filesystem?
Concerning
Johnnie fHello Johnnie,
ASM version do you use?
If it's 11g, you can use the cp command in asmcmd to copy the file on a file system.
If it is 10g, you must use rman.Liron Amitzi

Hi all
What are the steps to migrate from a non - file system asm in a file system of the asm to 10g / 11g.I guess you want to migrate your data to a plain old ASM file system files. This is possible by creating first ASM on your server and then use rman to copy your data files to ASM diskgroup. Tim Hall put in place this small howto http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/10g/AutomaticStorageManagement10g.php#migrating_to_asm_using_rman

IM + ASM + DBMS DB cloning
Hello.
I have 1-node RAC deployed 11.2.0.3 on OL5.11 with test DB in ASM (3 x OCR_VOTE discs, discs of DATA 2 x, 2 x discs of FRA).
The goal is to create new cluster using the current cluster as a master and cross DB ASM cloning disks.
Regarding http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/rac.112/e41959/clonecluster.htm#CWADD92122 and "HOW to CLONE a 11.2.0.3 HOME AND CLUSTERWARE GRID INFRASTRUCTURE (DOC ID 1413846.1) ' it is necessary to: »»
- prepare the node
- deploy the GI
- Run clon.pl
- Running config.sh
Steps 1 and 2 in my case have been replaced by:
- creating a master node in what concerns the docs (remove the cluster configuration and other files vs deleting on direct copy).
- cloning of disks and the virtual machine
- change the names and IP addresses
I managed to "running config.sh. But config.sh I am running:
[FATAL] [INS-40401] Setup has detected an Oracle Clusterware House on the system configuration.
Any ideas? Comments?
Thanks in advance for your valuable time.
Problem solved.
Environment:
- VirtualBox.
- 5.11 Linux
- 1-node cluster with ASM (11.2.0.3)
- DBMS (11.2.0.3) installed
- 1 RAC created DB.
ASM disks:
- shareable x 3 ocrvote
- given shareable x 2
- shareable 2 x fra
1. create the pfile to DB file.
2. stop all CARS services, disable the crs.
3. delete the files regarding official documents.
4. clean the files of the OS: logs, tmp, etc..
5 detach GI home
6 detach the DB home
We now have the master node.
1 clone the virtual machine (or disks).
We now have the first node to the new cluster.
1. prepare the conversion table: IPs, names.
2. sign in IP addresses, names in DNS
3. start cloned host.
4. change IP, OS names.
5 remove and create ssh, establish the equivalence for the users of the grid and oracle ssh.
6 redefine the responsibilities of ASM disks.
7 run clone.pl as a user of GI.
8. as root, run the root.sh script.
9 unlock GI.
10 move or delete ocr.loc.
11 start config.sh.
12. check the configuration of the cluster.
13 control the ASM.
14. change the name to scan again.
15 resolving multicast (if necessary)
GI is ready.
To prepare the RAC DBMS.
1. run clone.pl.
2. run the root.sh script.
3 change the DB record.
4 Add the instance.
5 edit tnsnames.ora with the new name of scan.
6 change created pfile initially with the new name of scan.
7. start the DB file pfile.
8. change remote_listener. Create the spfile.
9 start DB.
10. If necessary, it is possible to change the names of groups of DB name, DBID, disks.
We again invite you cluster and new CARS DB.

Crash when converting to the ASM of Flex
I recently tried to convert Standard ASM ASM Flex with my two-node RAC Cluster using asmca. Conversion failed in the middle of the process, and now I am unable to recover from this failure. A node is in place and showclustermode asmcmd says "Flex mode.
But no Proxy instance is running and I'm unable to set up the second body.
Whenever I stop the clusterware on a single node the other node is able to start so it looks that they can't share some resources properly.

I solved the problem: as easy as it might be: deleted files listener.ora on both servers because it looks like there was some Sales entries. After the cluster is restarted everything works fine now.

Basic questions about the installation of ASM
I can't find definitive answers to the following. Let me try here. I want to build a server Linux, RDBMS 11.2.0.3, running with the ASM. It's just the prototype server, in our conversion of Oracle 11 g on AIX without ASM on Oracle 11 g on Linux with the ASM.
I have an Oracle VM already running cluster and built a number of virtual machines in models, and everything works fine. Now I am installing DSO, have failed repeatedly. Maybe I'm doing something fundamentally wrong. Here are two questions:
1. is it true that the only (reasonable) to install DSO is to install the product called "grid Infrastructure? As far as I know, the answer is 'yes '. But GI seems to be so much more than ASM, although I don't think I want or need. Is there an easier way to get ASM?
2. the matrix certification swear that grid 11.2.0.3 Infrastructure is certified on Oracle Linux 6. (1) I can still see a lot of posts on OTN and elsewhere on the net that say it is NOT supported and that there are has mant problems in get the installation works, and (2) I have tried to install it on OEL 6 and can't get the installer to finish. Specifically, the root.sh script fails with "ohasd failed to start... '. ». Before further my installation problems, I want to just make sure: If this installation of OEL 6?Terry Phelps wrote:

ASM is a feature of the Oracle Grid infrastructure Installation. So you will need to install IM using ASM.
There is a GI installation which can be installed and configured in two different directions. For a Cluster or for a standalone.
This option must be selected during installation.
The installation of GI for a standalone is called Oracle Restart.
GI for a Cluster installation is called Oracle Clusterware.
The two options above have the particularity of the DSO.

A lot of users here OTN tried installing Grid Infrastructure on RHEL6/OEL6 when it is not certified. Many questions appear.
When it has been certified by Oracle, it remains several notes on MOS that will help you follow the main steps for a successful installation.
I think you should use OEL 6, since Oracle Linux 6 has been certified by Oracle Corporation, you have all the support on this product.
Start with this note: * master Note Linux OS requirements for database server [851598.1 ID] *.
* Customer database or the server installation of database on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL6) or Oracle Linux 6 [ID 1350000.1] *.

Move a file to the ASM system tablespace
Hi DBAs,
I want to convert a tablespace to ASM, I published the following steps
Put the tablespace in readonly mode and connected to the rman as "target rman /'"
RMAN > convert tablespace users format '+ DATA ';
The above command has successfully completed and created a database in asm diskgroup DATA asDATA/oratest/datafile/usrs.244.33333333. But once I request the tablespace datafile, it still points to the old/oradata/user.dbf.
It appears next to the command convert, I need to perform a few extra steps. Please help me what I have to do.
Thank you
-Shaw-Hello
After the conversion, you must run the command
RMAN > change user tablespace to copy
then only it will update the controlfile
or else
do one thing
RMAN > backup as copy users tablespace format "+ dg /...» »
RMAN > change user tablespace to copyhope it will work for you, mark it as answered so useful
Thank you

English Mail App - rated to organiser a conversation
Mail - nominal date Organizer app a conversation?
Hello
In the Mail (on Sierra) application I organize my conversations by mail.
In Inbox, I can sort my emails by date, but you'd host a conversation by date?
Car the current presentation organizes me them from the oldest to the newest. And me I want from the most recent to the oldest...
What may seem logical for some is not pay others. When a 200 mails in a conversation and we want to avoid going down with her laetitia down pour mail to meet the last ;-)
I would like to add that I had Apple by Chat support which was a great help... No en not knowing comment ;-) and me offering me to recall by a technician in order to take control of my computer! Waowww, the I was amazed by the efficiency :-) (the little humor)
Someone would have had the same problem? Not with assistance but with the Organization of e-mail?
Open Mail > Preferences > display
Check "Message most recent show at the top.

iMessages group Conversation does not go in DND
I've just updated to iOS 10 on my iPhone more than 6 and a group conversation in the Messages that I sometimes put on DND now does not recognize that the conversation has been implemented within DND. Messages continues to inform me about all messages from anyone in the group. Is there any solution for this?
Thank you
Brent
Have what troubleshooting you tried? Troubleshooting user steps include reboot, reset, restore from backup, restore to factory; tests after each stage.
If you return in the message after the ignition of the DND, does always show as it is turned on?

How can I recover photos lost in the conversion of Photos?
Was > 90 k pictures and nearly 200 albums iPhoto library. Bought a new iMac with El Capitan and convert photo library. After conversion, most of the albums displayed holders place empty, some with title data, but more without. Saved and repair (command option, open Photos). Post a regeneration, it is now only display 8 k photos with about 10 albums. See no reason for what is successful and what was lost, even if the older DSLR photos seem to be most of what has disappeared. Any help would be appreciated.
first thing I would do is the original library repeat migration - restore your backup of it and drag the backup restored to Photos icon in the Dock to migrate

Hello
I just discovered this messages.app no longer offers an audio or video conversation.
Apple is really serious about this?
Someone at - it an idea for a good alternative, which offers audio conferences for small businesses?
See you soon

Hello
The ability to 'iChat' in one account AIM and Jabber for video chat or Audio Only WITHIN the app is no longer.
The Menu of the video has disappeared.
Screen sharing also went to El Capitan (in the House somehow)
We have text iMessages cats invoke FaceTime upper-right Details option.
Or the screen sharing application for screen sharing.
Of course this "force" everyone to use the iMessages Apple ID account.
This mock to 'Fix' the SNATMAP BONE Xserver 10.10.3
Trillian https://www.trillian.im/ is a PC application that was a version of free text and one for the Pro version which could then Video Chat
I know that they have diversified in other versions and there is one for Mac.
I never worked if they also did the Pro for Mac version.
I have also not clear if it employs different video formats for cats of PURPOSE compared to Jabber ones (Hello and AIM and Jabber on a Mac are essentially the same even if they do not allow connections from Service crossed) Jabber use Jingle and aims essentially to AIM and long ago was compatible with iChat.
NOTE Jingle is actually an add-on to Jabber/XMPP but is not compatible with GoogleTalk Google video or their plug-in for browsers.
I've not updated with others.
I follow a page, written by another long post here (EZ Jim), but we have not updated since 2006
http://www.ralphjohns.co.UK/EZJim/EZJimpage7.html
However, he lists a few of them in the section chats and Conferencing, you might want to give more.
In the latest new applications seemed to come and go.

Any way to go back to the old mail conversation view?
Just upgraded my phone to iOS 10, and new mail conversation view is not usable. This might work for personal emails, but for work when I have maybe 10 to 20 emails in a single conversation, it's unmanageable to have to scroll all the way. 1 on 20 may have an attachment you are looking for. I'm very likely going to have to use Microsoft Outlook instead.
Someone at - he found a way to restore the 9 mail iOS conversation view?
Apple, please take this feedback from someone who is a strong supporter since the original iPhone. The new view of mailconversation is a big step backwards in usability.
Thanks in advance.

Apple will not see your comments here. Back to Apple goes to their site of comments here, http://www.apple.com/feedback , and then click the area on the matter.
Regarding the threading, if you type on see more in the lower left corner of the mail, it will show everything that the thread. If you look in the upper right corner of the screen, you will see Done. Tap on that and it will return to the last post. If you are simply looking at the Inbox, there will be an arrow to the right of the post office, blue, double-chevron. Press on and it will show all messages for this particular thread and the head of arrow will point down. Tap it again, and the wire will collapse.

Annoying bug. It seems that iOS 10 has a lot of Polish.
Swipe left to close a conversation? I never heard of such a thing.
Instead, there is a left arrow "<" in the upper left corner of the screen. Tapping is the way to close a conversation.

Smartphone blackBerry OS 4.5 really slow
I had my BB Curve for about 18 months and have never updated the operating system, I wanted to install Pandora which required 4.3 or higher, so I installed the latest version 4.5. the installation has worked, but it took over 2 hours. Unfortunately,
