  Answer to Q1:

  on the application of a snapshot is to be able to return to exactly the State of the virtual machine in which the snapshot was created. In order to do this, all the (content of the disc, memory,...) must be restored. One of the reasons to come back to a snapshot may be an update that did not work as expected.

  Answer to Q2:

  P2V installs the converter on the source machine agent.

  The Client Plugin is no longer necessary. It was part of the vCenter Converter Server which was provided as a plugin for vCenter Server. With vSpehre 5 the converter is not supplied with vCenter Server, but provided as a separate application.

  For a P2V conversion, it demanded to have a source and a target to which the source machine is converted as a virtual machine.

• Snapshots vs layers

  Hello. Well, I'm in this uncomfortable situation (in CS3) where I have a multi-layer .psd document with 2 shots which I was sure at least 1 would be unnecessary in the end anyway. But I know figure that I really needed to keep both States of document as layers.

  How can I handle this?

  I tried a lot of different things (for example 'create new doc about the current situation"and then drag a layer to the other document composition, etc.), but nothing has worked. If it was only for visibility and layer style, I could copy/paste the layer styles, but the layer positions also differ. So I'm actually a little helpless now.

  OK, well understood your problem (I don't bother with snapshots than that). First select the bottom most snapshot and select one and make a new layer comp. Go to the last composition of layers of the State of the Document and make your second composition of layers based on that and you are finished.

  (For some reason if you first select the top most the snapshot and then underneath, it won't work so make sure that you first select the bottom one)

  Hi all

  Have a small problem and need your help:

  -J' have an AI with hundreds of items in there. All in a single layer.

  -There are two types of objects: blocks and textlayers (numbers). Each block has so a number on top it is.

  

  What I ultimately need is a new layer structure:

  -Each object + textlayer must be placed in a separate layer, AND that a new layer should be renamed the number which is within that layer. Like this:

  

  My first thought was to collect items from its position. For example: Position the text object can be placed at x and are coordinated from the block, but + 2mm for margin offset. What would be the point of recognition for the script to put in the separate layer.

  Or look for bunk objects and put them in a new layer.

• United Nations-smart or restore a dynamic object

  It would be very convenient if there was a shortcut key or a button that could 'come back' or 'non-smart"a dynamic object to what it contains. I know that you can open the smart object and reglisser the content of your PSD work, but having a button to switch between these steps would be very useful.

  If anyone knows an easy way to do this already, please let me know.

  Thank you Michael, but I was looking for a non-destructive way to toggle the smart object layer in an expansion of its content.

  That's the point, it may be non-destructive if the document containing (what Chris calls the parent) is another resolution, mode or bit depth.

  If you mean you want to be able to return to the multiple layers of the intact smart object in the document container - then this is a good feature request. Of course it would happen by conversion mode contextually, dumping layers adjustment and resampling the contents of the dynamic object. If a dialog box warning would be necessary. It would be a useful feature because it would enable the integration of temporary layers, to simplify the structure of the layer on complex documents - another use of dynamic objects.  Its a feature I would use.

• Conversion of VMWorkstation to ESXi with snapshots?

  Hello.. I have to migrate my images of VMWorkstation (7.1) to ESXi Sever (4.1). I have used VMWare converter and managed to move 1 image, but I see that snapshots are missing. It is a way in which I can then move my snapshots? Or should I remove them? Help, please!

  Welcome to the community,

  with the conversion of the virtual machine, all the snapshots will be merged into the destination virtual disk. There is no way to preserve snapshots using the converter.

• After Effects, layers change position during conversion project from CC to CC 2014

  When convert us some projects from CC to CC 2014 some of the layers change of position (x and y).

  Anyone else see this kind of problems?

  Photoshop changed how the layer limits are calculated in some cases, what causes the Photoshop library that we include with After Effects to also have this change. We are currently working to determine how to fix this for the next update. It is delicate, because the new way that Photoshop does things is more correct... but it also means that the created projects in previous versions different when opened in the new version. We will end up probably with a "legacy" option that avoids this conversion doesn't happen at the opening of old projects.

  You can convert all (layers, masks and images) to a smart object and then convert the dynamic object to another space. You keep the embedded AdobeRGB original.

  For distribution thought its best to make the smart personal object as parameters in 'color settings' can change things if people have automatic conversion or assign the default profile.

  Just start with PowerCLI and restored a scipt to send me a list of snapshots (I realize there are a lot of scripts that preset). the script works as expected, but the variable SizeMB includes 19 and 20 decimals, which makes it a little difficult to read.

  line of script in question:

  Hi guy,

  I'm sure that it is not possible to keep snapshots with OVF tool. What you can do is a complete copy of all the files via WinSCP or FastSCP virtual computer for example.

  To be sure of the stratification is maintained... Select frames-> click with the right button on the selection and choose copy pictures-> create a new symbol and select one image inside key-> right-click on the selected image and select Paste images.  All the layers should be incorporated in the order that they were copied.

• Built in webcam on the L750D/L755D Satellite to take photographs of the snapshot

  I have a laptop named above, even if it is true that I'm not sure one.
  I was wondering if it was possible to use the webcam that is built in, to take the snapshot photographs.

  I tried using Windows Movie Maker, it did not work and I am unable to use the webcam unless I'm in a video conversation but it doesn't seem to be a way to access "on its own" so to speak.

  Of course, you can use the built in webcam outside a video chat tool.
  Software of the webcam should usually preinstalled on your laptop.
  You should find it in all programs-> Toshiba

  Starting the software for the webcam, a webcam control bar should appear.
  This bar is movable, so it could appear in the top, left, right or bottom of the screen box, but this will not be visible unless you move the cursor over this area.

  My goal was to make a Data Pump Export of the physical Standby database to move Production data in a test environment.

  
  

  After research, I decided to use the method of conversion the physical Standby a standby time of the snapshot, performing the Data Pump Export and then conversion back.

  
  

  I did a small implementation of work to do to make the physical Standby ready to become a watch of the snapshot, but that seems to be going smoothly.  It was changing the name of the tablespace, UNDO, adding a temporary file to the temporary tablespace and setting the DB_FILE_RECOVERY_DEST and _Dest_size.

  It is not good. The thing with a snapshot is to have the available Flash back to return to standby mode.

  I think that you must re-create the day before. I don't know of another option.

  No Data Guard system, you can sometimes use the offline data file and continue with the return of flame.

• How do I animate my illustrator layers in Flash Professional?

  I imported an illustrator file into flash. I have 300 layers. I'm doing an animation. each of my illustrator layers has a small part of a larger design. I want the animation to play all the layers, one after the other, 'building' design. each layer, while he plays, will remain on the screen. not sure if it is clear. Currently I have a layer in flash with these 300 images/layers from illustrator. NOW, after talking with the support of the conversation, I have each layer on a layer separate from flash, but I'm still not sure #1 how play them as a movie and 2 # how 'building' in the larger picture?

  It's about the process. Drawing in Flash tools are quite different and less complex than Illustrator. Some methods are easier to Flash some are easier in Illustrator. For what you want to do, it looks like you could be better off starting in Flash.
