Convert a normal layer into the background layer

How do I do that? I want the background layer to the background layer, but I can't figure out how to convert. I am under CS3, FYI.

Select the layer you want to convert and go to layer-> New-> layer background

  • Merge a layer with the background

Is it possible to merge a layer with the background? I mean, suppose that the background does not yet exist and I have a series of layers on top of this transparent background. How can I go on the fusion of one or more of these layers with the background without flatten the whole image?

to convert a normal layer into a background layer, you will need to select and go to the layer-> New-> layer bottom. As far as I know, this is the only place where you can do. If you want to do a bottom layer of multiple layers, you must select the layer and go first to layer-> layer blending to merge the layers into a single layer

  • How can I change the 39 firefox tabs so that they do not mix in the background so ALL tabs will be visible/colorful?

    Hello:

Previously, I had firefox 38 and was using an older version of the classic theme restaurateur v1.2.9.6 and I have no problem see the tabs colorful.

Unfortunately, given that the upgrade to firefox 39 and classic theme restaurateur v1.3.5 only colorful tab is the active tab that you currently can within (we) work, the other tab to blend into the background of persona. I know some people probably like how the inactive tabs blend into the background... I'm NOT one of those people.

It is quite difficult to see the tabs 'because' they mix in the background a little too well. Is there a way to change things so that ALL tabs even inactive tabs that I do not work on/with will be visible and visible by colorful instead of melt in some context of the persona shows at some point I mean?

    Thank you.

I wonder if this has been changed to avoid disrupting the use of light/personas themes? I don't see anything obvious in the release notes history: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/versions/

I think it's something that would go more to the author of the classic theme restaurateur. Support seems to be a very long thread here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48 & t = 2827985

  • Convert a Normal screen layer style?

    Hello

Does anyone know if there is a way to convert a layer of the screen to a normal layer and maintaining transparency so that I could save on like a file .png with the intact transparancy? Whenever I try to turn off all the layers except the one I want to save, the layer of the screen becomes black. Is it possible for me to preserve the style of transparency that a layer of screen provides a single layer so that I could put the transparency on a clear background?

    Thank you

It wouldn't be too hard to get where you are, where you want to be...

Do a fill layer of white with a Normal mixture and use the content you have now as its layer mask (i.e., so it's especially transparent).  Save as a 24-bit PNG (which supports partial transparency) and you should be able to get what you need.

Another option is to put the Options bar of the Rectangle rounded to the path tool

Trash bolt for the background layer, hold down the Cmd key and click on the symbol of the new layer to layer below the image to white. Then edit > fill with white.

Return the image layer and draw the image as a path

  • Integrate a photo room direct shooting into the layer of a project

    Hello, to the community,

Let me explain my problem, I hope not to be too long! : s :

I work in an Association of people with disabilities. Pour a sporting event taking place in September, I am in charge of a "souvenir photo booth", where people will be able to get the portrait, which will be integrated in a fake 1st page of the magazine of the Association, and after print with a photo printer on site.

I have a camera SLR Canon D600 that I connected to my pc to make shooting from a distance. I do my fake one of the magazine under photoshop cc.

My problem, where I need help, is what it is possible to integrate a "shooting live" en photo, directly into a layer of a project?

The best I could do is that the photo opens directly into a new project of toshop by changing the settings of the canon utility software (software which allows the binding and struggling to view remotely).

It would allow me to win a stage, rather than duplicate the new shooting in the project 'One of the magazine' and resize it, it would be directly in a layer at the base of the already existing project and I would have to print.

I thank the community in advance.

Make your template for the false cover of the magazine.

It must be the same size as the images that you will use with

It must have a transparent background, so remove the background layer.

Save the model to a known location with a name like 'Template.psd Magazine'

Use the EOS utility and set it to save on laptop as well as the memory card.

Open your first image and save the next Action.

Give it a descriptive name and assign a shortcut to (SHIFT-F5 for example)

    Start recording:

File > Place incorporated "Magazine Template.psd.

    Press the Enter key

    Stop recording.

Now, whenever you open a new image, use SHIFT F5 to load the model above the image and print it.

    Good luck

  • How can I get the files to open with layer automatically the Background value - no layer 1?

I open a lot of Illustrator EPS and PDF in Photoshop - I need to convert to TIFF.

By default, they open with the layer on Layer 1. So I always have to change that to melt before the Save in tiff format.

I know that its just an extra step, but when I think of the thousands of files I opened over the years which represents several hours of my life.

Does anyone know a way to stop what is happening so that files open by default in the background?

I know that I can create an Action - but its still an extra click so it won't save me any time.

Also, I realize account opening in 1 layer retains transparency - I need from time to time. In an ideal world, I would have a setting in preferences to open in the background by default. Then in the import box that appears when I open a file, I would have a checkbox that says something like: "Allow the transparency" so that I could open in 1 layer on the rare occasions I need.

    Any ideas / opinions anyone?

I would just do an action to flatten the image, then set it to a shortcut key.  I have this on my computer - just press F4 (my shortcut key) and it is flattened.

  • How to get the background color of a layer with AE SDK

    Hello

I try to get the background color for my current layer, but I can't seem to find how do.

I don't want background color, background color of the application, but the color that shows through, if I set the alpha of my pixels to 0.

For example, assume that the background of the composition is black, I put a solid top, green then put a picture on top of the solid and apply my pug-in the image.

If I set the alpha to zero in my plug-in, green solid will be displayed.

So I want to be able to know that my background is green.

I tried to use PF_AppGetBgColor(), but which returns the background color of the application, which isn't green in this example.

If you want more details on what I want to do, I plug P1 which affects some 0-alpha pixels. Above it, I apply an another plugin P2 which reveals alpha-0 pixels by mixing with little color.

What is happening now is that the output is color of the original image, mixed with the color of P2 (because only modified P1 alpha pixels).

What I want is to have the color through the transparent pixels of P1 display mixed with the color of P2.

To do this, I would like to be able to set the color of pixels 0-alpha in the color of the background in P1.

    Sorry for the question long.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Hello nicolas.

If I understand it, that you try to get the buffer of image layers composited under the layer with your effect.

If that is correct, then I fear that it is almost impossible to do.

When AE makes a composition he doesn't it down. He's trying to do the opposite in fact.

Why? because if at some point, the buffer is completely opaque, then he has no need to make what's below.

further more, checked the diaper changing the rendering order, and many other things affect the rendering of the layers order.

In addition, there is no API to access buffers intermediaries comp. just the end result.

the closest you can get than without turning of the world, is to use AEGP_GetCompBGColor().

that would be useless to you that the image is not composite on that color, unless it is the model being saved to the file.

so why I said 'almost impossible '?

    You can transform the world.

You can write a type ECAP 'craftsman '. (look at the example of 'arti')

These plug-ins make comps (instead of the "advanced3D" converter)

a craftsman has results intermediaries comp, because he is the one doing the rendering.

so now you can have your craftsman save the buffer, you need and deliver it to your effect.

I must warn you that this is very very very difficult.

Another possible solution is to create a copy of the model resides in your effect,

erase all the layers that has the image you need and make that reproduces model using AEGP_GetReceiptWorld().

If you use this method, you must supervise the original model and apply changes to the copy.

Yes, it's too difficult to do.

you could make a change in the strategy and apply your effect to an adjustment layer instead.

the entry for the adjustment layer is the buffer underlying layers.

Then, you could get the original sources you want to treat using checked layer params.

the last solution I can think uses the expression of sampleImage() on a hidden parameter.

This will give you any layer's pixel data in the model, but not the composite of the underlying layers.

Maybe if you tried sampling adjustment layers post effects... I don't know. you need to try.

This method is very slow and is also limited to expire, so you can't get a large number of pixels.

    the expression simply fails.

I hope that this was not all bad news for you.

Maybe you said more about the plug-in you develop I could come up with a better plan.

    :-)

  • Weird border appears automatically in the background layer. How can I get rid of him?

When I create a new canvas, a border appears around it automatically. It's a white border lined with curved edges which is under the background of my new file/document psd layer - it is not editable. I think I might change it in the drop-down "Show" menu, but I was not able to fix it. I've been messing around with the size of the canvas earlier, but I didn't know that I had done something I don't usually do. It is not hinder my work... it just bothers me so much!

I would really appreciate if someone can help (this is probably an easy great solution)

  • do not appear the background layer

Hello, when I give to merge the layers do not appear the background layer, and when I go to check jpg indicates that the layers are decoupled. Thanks advanced

    Javier,

I'll assume that you don't want your layers and want to generate a 'flat' file a JPEG image, for example. For sharing, download, print, etc.

Can you save a copy 'flattened '?    File > SAVE as.     In unrolling choose JPEG. -It uses by default saves a copy so that you keep your PSD layered in case you have future adjustments where the layers would be beneficial.

    I hope this helps.
