• I can't open new tabs from file - only open a new window or tab strip

  For awhile, I was not able to click on a tab plus sign to open a new tab, not even by going to the file menu. I even reset Firefox to my default settings, it sets itself for a short period while today ', then back to the not not to work again!   The Ask toolbar is originally only in versions of Firefox 3.6.13 +. Uninstall this extension.

  If you don't see the menu bar with the menu file then see what happened to the file, edit and view menus?

• New window only opens a new window without worrying if I do a Ctrl-N or select it from the file menu.

  It doesn't matter if I select the new window on the file menu; do a Ctrl-N; or select Open link in a new window when I right click on a link, nothing happens. I can open a new tab with no problems, but not in a new window. I am running Windows Vista 32-bit.

  Make sure that your security software is not blocking the new window.

  Hello

  Forms in an application is running in a window unique applet. When you use the CALL/OPEN/NEW form, she would open them in the same applet window. If you want to open another instance of the form, try something like

  Note: It will not share the session. You need to re connect on this form (or use a section of configuration with the user name and password etc.). Therefore, the instance of forms, db instance all will be a new one.

  I would like to see a tab, while I am working in another. I can do that by opening one of the tabs in a new window and both windows on the screen of tiles. Is it possible to do so in a window?

• In Firefox v4.0.1, custom toolbars disappear from the menu of the toolbar when I open a 'new window '.

  I created a new toolbar in customize... / Add the new toolbar. It is on the list of the toolbars and opens upwards most of the time I start Firefox, but not always. I tested it and it is completely random.

  Same type of problem as 1., but whenever I use the function "New window" disappears from the custom toolbar in the menu of the toolbar, and if I need to use it, I have to Save all tabs bookmark and then close and reopen FireFox if I get my original window [where the toolbar]. AARRRGHH.

  I use FF for 7 years now, so I know enough to rule out corrupt localstore.rdf, new or updated modules updated (I could be wrong, but as I am often...).
  It comes back with other users? I am cursed? [lol] any help would be appreciated.

• How do I get the words index to open a 'new window '.

  I use RoboHelp 7 WebHelp.

  I want some of my words index, www link and NOT a topic.  I can do this, but when you click on the clue word it opens the link in the pane of RoboHelp and NOT a new window.  I thought I knew how to fix this problem by right-clicking on my word to index, choose Properties, advanced and click on the down arrow next to the picture and choose the new command window.  I was so proud of myself for figiuring this out.  After that I published my site, this will not always open the link in a new window.  Does anyone know if this is a known bug or I do something wrong?  Thanks for your help.

  For starters, this has happened since Firefox 10 or more. A couple of months now.

  I am able to open Firefox. My modules worked (ABP, Flashblock, ABP Element Hiding Helper, IETAB2, Downthemall, Greasemonkey, extension of 4chan) had no problem. Firefox is defined and has been fixed for the past two years as my default browser.

  I tried to follow the advice of already posted troubleshooting (glance to parent.lock files left [no date], several sessionstore.js [no date] files, create a new user profile, has tried to erase the 'read only' permission in windows 7, but as soon as it is cleared, only read permission back.)

  As a last resort, I deleted the Firefox folder, the directory %APPDATA%/Mozilla in its entirety and then used CCleaner to remove all references to Firefox in the windows registry, and then made a complete re - install, without extensions installed right now.

  I checked the preferences and have the option "open new windows in a new tab" checked. The problem persists without worrying if this option is checked or not. This problem persists in or out of safe mode, even with the new facility.

  Test case:

  All cases:

  Case 1: Log in to firefox. Use any other program that is trying to open a link to their Web site in a new window browser or the new browser session. "Firefox is already running" error

  Case 2: Open a firefox session. Right click on Firefox in the taskbar. Select 'open in new window '. "Firefox is already running" error

  Case 3: Open a session of firefox. Select the Firefox Menu > new tab > new window. In fact, a new window opens.

  This is the only method of opening a new window in the same browser session or profile that actually works on my system. Attempting to open a browser session from the task bar "open new window dialog" or opening a new window while a current window/session is running will not open firefox in a new window or a new tab in the current session. The "Firefox is already running, but is not responding" error will occur every time.
  

  Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the - No.-remote switch or have defined the MOZ_NO_REMOTE = 1 environment variable (Control Panel > system > advanced > environment variables).

  Return to your LMS administrator and ask them why they have not put in place more firmly. The scenario you mention should not occur if the LMS is well attached.

  Some LMS have the contents of the course are in a folder outside the web space so that users can access the course URL directly.  For example, Moodle t - it this way and then shot the course content in a temporary folder when the learner clicks on the link ask a module.  No matter how your LMS is supposed to do, it is currently not configured correctly.

  The add-on preceding can make some pop-up windows to open in new tabs instead. If you don't want pop - up opens automatically to all, you can set the preference dom.popup_allowed_events to a blank value in Subject: config. You can then open the blocked pop-ups by clicking on the notification icon on the right side of the address bar. You can also allow certain sites to open pop-ups under Options - content - Exceptions.
