  You must upgrade to Acrobat Pro. Then, you would be able to use an Action to convert all the files in your file (s) to PDF format and later on another Action (+ script) to combine them into a single PDF file. So basically, it's a 3 step process. Is not ideal, but not too hard, either.

  I think it is just a reference to the image (that is, as passing in a blank canvas).   Expressions can only affect the value of the property to which they are applied. However, they can access (read-only) most parameters and attributes of its layers and any other composition. If you could have a slider control, for example, in a model that can be read by expressions in any other comp. This slider control could have an expression controlling its value, but no other expression may affect the value. That answer your question? If not, please be more specific about what it is you are trying to do.
