Copied a jpg from a removable drive (j). where is he on now?

Using a smartmedia card, required to make a copy of a jpg, click with the right button on jpg, then clicked copy, where is exemplary?

Hi cooper06,

When you copy a file or folder, you make a copy of the original item that you can then modify, delete, or store independently of the original.

  1. Open the location that contains the file or folder you want to copy.
  2. Right-click the file or folder that you want to copy and then click copy.
  3. Open the location where you want to store the copy.
  4. Right-click in the box, and then click Paste.

The copy of the file or the original file will appear in the new location.

You must paste the file in the destination folder to create a copy of it.

"Deleting" a file does not actually delete it marks just the space
also available to be used. There are third-party programs that can
sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by
the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and it makes
    the unrecoverable file.

So your chances of successfully recover this file are decent if you
Try it again immediately after the deletion of it and go quickly
downhill from there. If you have used the computer since then (for
example to write this question and read this answer), your chances may
    be very poor now.

But if the file is large enough, it's still worth a try. Stop
using the computer in question immediately, if you have not done
already. Download an undelete program (and here's one:)
    http://www3.TELUS.NET/mikebike/restoration.html but there are several
others to choose from; Do a search) on a friend's computer (do not
it on yours because that would overwrite the files you want
Undelete) and bring it to you on a CD or thumb drive to try.

If that fails, your only recourse is to bring or send the disc
a company of professional file recovery. This kind of service is very
expensive and may or may not work in your case.

  • Copy-move content from the C drive to a new larger disk? (space)

I have Windows XP and other applications and data files on a hard drive a little lack of space and would like to copy on a larger drive (500 GB), there are commercial software on the market by Acronis that will do that; However, I was thinking about this method that uses the copy program. This will work.

    1. install the new drive as slave.

    2. make a bootable XP floppy or flash drive.

    3. go to the root of the old drive and select all the files in the Explorer.

4 locate the WIN386. SWP file and unselect by using the CTRL key.

5 copy all old drive to the new drive.

    6. remove the old drive and change new master drive.

    7. new boot disk.

    8. If startup does not work, start by using the startup disk or a flash drive.

    9. to invite him back, type "Sys C:".

    10. Remove boot floppy/flash drive and charge it.

    11. If this does not work, buy commercial software.

10 first steps will work? It would be certainly much cheaper, but if I know that it won't it allow me to save a lot of time and unnecessary copying.

Do not work, unless your disks are both in the FAT32 format - and you can only do with a 500 GB drive

Your best shot would be to use a correct application of cloning or patition manager to do the work for you.

Some have a free trial that will work before it runs out.

There are 665 photos that can never be replaced.  What should I do?

    Hello

The operating system that you are running on your computer?

You may have set the option "Erase after importing" when importing the photos. At the end of the import process, then pictures should appear in the Windows Photo Viewer.

Open the Windows Photo Viewer and check if you can see these photos.

  • Copy the files from the flash drive on the hard drive but I don't want to copy the files I already have.

I have Windows XP.  I have a flash drive with many files that I have on my second hard drive.  I just it copies the files that I have on the hard drive and I don't want to have to sit and answer 'yes' or 'no' question about the replacement of files each time that it recognizes a file duplicate. How do I do that?

When you see this double prompt or not, are there not a checkbox that says something like "Always do this for all files" or something in that sense?

You can manually copy the files. Here is the CTRL key while you click the files you want and then just drag them to the location on the HARD drive.

Unfortunately, vacuums are very statically charge and their use within electronic devices is usually not a good idea. It is very possible that the discharges of static electricity has damaged your iMac.

    Hello

This backup after pressing F11 is a HP backup option, not a Microsoft option.

I suggest that you contact HP or ask their Support Forums.

It's the normal advice I'd give to record data; but we have no idea of the State of your hard drive.

    Saving your files:

You can remove the hard drive and put it in a hard drive USB enclosure > plug it into another computer > and try to read and copy your data in this way.

Or, you can download Knoppix > make a bootdisk to > start your system with it (IF your material is all work) > and copy your data from the hard drive like that.

    See you soon.

  • Cannot copy a file to a removable device

When I try to copy a file to a removable drive, it shows me an error "YOU NEED PERMISSION TO PERFORM THIS ACTION."

I also tried to change the setting, but it shows no security tab in the properties of the removable device

Being that the drive is using the FAT32 file system, there is no security clearance, whatever she is available to control access at the local level, the only FAT32 permissions available share permissions, but sharing on FAT32 permissions restrict access to the network only, no access by users working directly on the computer.  This leads me to believe that a policy of access to removable devices or media control is enabled on the computer.

Control read or write access to removable devices or media

  • Copy the library from an external hard drive to another catalog EHD and sync

Already, I saw this link but it doesn't tell me how to copy the library, it simply moving photos from one hard drive to another How to copy files to an external hard drive in Lightroom "Julieanne Kost's Blog of »

I want to know how can I make a second copy of my library on my second drive, backup in case where my only main falls down and I want it so that my catalog can be synchronized with my second backup drive.

    Any ideas?

    The easy answer is to-

    1. close Lightroom

2 use the software to 'mirror' of your Master images folder and subfolders of the primary transmission to the second DHM operation.

Some free Windows software-SyncBack, MS-Synctoy, FreeFileSync.

    * If your Lightroom catalog file exists in the records of Master images, it will appear in the "mirror".

    * You can exclude the... Previews.lrdata folder of EHD. (it can be huge, and it can be re-built)

    * Note: "block mirror" made an exact copy of the files, it adds new files and removes the file 'deleted' SMT. It should not be used as a backup of the system-Deleted files are also deleted from the "mirror".

    * Note: You must not access the EHD copy using the catalogue work Lightroom on the main drive - this will only create chaos.

    3. If you want to restore from a system crash JEP 'mirror' will catalogue and image files in the exact state at the time of the last "mirror." Copy everything back to the main unit and open the catalog. LRCAT file. Lightroom is back in business.

For the last two versions is no function of CD/DVD in the mac version at all, probably as a result of apple from optical drives of every new Mac a few years ago.

You must use a removable drive instead.

  • Once that a file is uploaded to iCloud drive remove it from my hard drive to free up space?

I want to free up space on the hard drive of my MacBook Pro. Once I have download on iCloud can I delete from my hard drive and still maintain a file of cloud?  Another way to put it: once a file is uploaded to iCloud by car, if I remove my hard drive it will remove automatically iCloud drive?

iCloud Drive is a synchronization service. If you delete a file from iCloud, it is removed from iCloud drive and vice versa.

It is not an effective way to free up space on your MacBook.

  • How to copy data from one hard drive to another after the upgrade?

I have a HP e9220y, and I recently bought a new hard drive for it. There is nothing wrong with the former, but this one has a 64 MB cache and 7200 RPM so I hope it will be a little faster. I installed it and it works fine, but I want to copy all data from the old disk to the new so I can start everything off the faster hard drive and I seem to have a bit of doing wrong. I can't just copy and paste because of the Windows system files that are used. And last night when I set up Windows backup, and went to bed, when I thought it that Windows has recovered from a stop unexpected, rebooted, and only 2 GB of data saved obtained.

What is the best way to move all the data from the old drive to the new drive, make it the default C: drive and move partitions system and factory_image as well? Thank you!

    (1) If your old drive and the new drive is Seagate or Western Digital, then free House with their cloning software.

    (2) before starting the clone process, I found best to perform a disk cleanup and defragmentation.

Cloning software to copy the two partitions. Example:

    Old drive 250 GB formatted to 232 C: created 220 and 12 GB D:

New 1000GO drive formatted to 931 GB created 919 GB C: and D: to 12 GB

The "Seagate disc Wizard" cloning software will let create you a clone automatic or manual partition resizing.

The two modes to offer an overview of the actions before commit you. The manual on this page of Seagate (PDF) is 68 pages.

After the cloning process he complete, all you have to do is swap on the disks. Besure to connect your new disc on the original motherboard SATA port.
