• Why I didn't copy and paste layers or folders in Photoshop?

  I honestly have a hard time understanding why I can't layers Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V, or folders (with styles and properties) in Photoshop, although I can with other elements in Photoshop and with almost all elements of all software published by Adobe (including the insurmountable more complex layers of an After Effects composition).   Also use ctrl/cmd-J to duplicate (copy) a layer in the same document, which will retain all of its attributes. And as Trevor mentioned, you can just drag the layer in the layer panel to another document tab to replicate to another document - no menus, no workspace rearrangement.

  I am working on an application and will stick in hundreds of groups from Illustrator to Photoshop.

  Is there a way I could select all in my Illustrator file and when I paste it into Photoshop it sticks each object as its own layer (I need it to stay Smart Objects).

  If you want to copy (not move) a layer to another file, click and drag the layer in the layers Panel on the other image.

  'Move' means remove the layer from the source file.

  Whenever I have copy and paste images between 2 open files illustrator (using Illustrator CC), he applies a lag effect and I have to either extend the form to enter the effects > path > offset path and set it to 0. Does anyone know how to stop this?

  The issue should be resolved with the new patch/update, 19.1, that should solve known issues unresolved with 19.0.1.

  Basically, I'm trying to copy and paste from a doc on a new photoshop to create textured prints.

  I was able to do it once, and with the notes that I took, I can't figure out on my own.

  Whenever I have paste my selection since the first doc to the next, there is a white border around my selection who shouldn't be there.

  I'm missing a step between flattening and the unlocking of a layer in the first doc the next doc.

  Hello!  Is one simple way to accomplish what you want to use a blending mode multiply.  For example, in the document right in your screenshot with red background, you can select Layer 1, the model with the white border and change the normal to multiply in the Modes of mixing down blending Mode.  See the screenshots below.

  

  

  A layer set on multiply darkens only the lower layers, so the white border copied with the texture wouldn't appear on a red background.  You can learn more about the blend mode multiply here: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-editing/layer-blend-modes/multiply/

  I have 2 layers of text in a .psd anyone I just simply copy and paste into another .psd. I select both layers and link them together, but when I copy and paste into the other .psd just one layer is pasted. How do you do that?

  It works as it should. If you want to move stuff with maintaining relative positioning, put it in a group or a dynamic object and drag the resulting group / SO to the new document.

  I am currently inking on an old comic I made.

  To save time and cut corners, I created a bunch of images pre drawn like faces, contours of the body, eyes, etc.

  These presets are all saved in a file with each different image on its own layer, and everything was fine.

  Then I you merge all layers (because it starts to get too many of them) and now when I copy an image

  and paste on my BD I get black lines (inks) but I also get the underlying layer blackened by white background.

  Y at - it a bet on, when I copy and paste, paste only the black lines and not the white background?

  See the image above... I did a version vector of our company in illustrator logo (all referenced programs are cs5 btw) and it looks great, but when I copy and paste from Illustrator into InDesign, it loses the transparency around the logo. If I place the logo instead, it works fine. The problem is there are about 16 variants of the logo and its MUCH easier to copy and paste from a global file rather than have several files of different logos to be placed.

  General information on how the logo was created: the inner circle is several layers degraded (some with both transparency masks).   You have to put each version on its own layer in Illustrator and place the file I. Choose display options, cultures of the bounding box and select the appropriate layer.

• simple copy and paste problem

  I must not have my image correctly recorded or marked or whatever the button is not pressed.  I have an image I want to copy and then paste on another page.  In addition, grab and drag I should be able to "copy" and "Paste" on another page.  What I'm missing here?  Here is a view of my screen that shows what I'm trying to copy.  Something must not be ticked off or something.

  

  Your source image, press Ctrl + A (select all) and then Ctrl + C (copy), navigate to your image of the destination and Ctrl + V (paste). Note: Layers can keep copy & pasting, so approach all those in the source image.

  I have an illustrator CS4 file which is a character created in a single layer.  Within this layer are many sublayers, with specific naming conventions.  For example, there is a head entitled layer, and within the head's eyes nose mouth etc. When I copy and paste into another document all my layer information is destroyed. Any ideas?

• Takes are silent when copied and pasted into the new track

  After recording several takes of a vocal part and a model gliding around how I like it, I decided to dub the voices and use another part of the (unused) takes.

  I created a new title in doubles (CMD - D) and pasted the vocal track (including), but the new double track is silent.  I can see the track and everything going out there and tried to remove plugins, copy and paste in different ways, but the track and just stay silent.  I can see them all here in the new track, and all that I can see, they should be heard.

  I tried this search anywhere online and cannot find any mention of this problem anywhere.  Is this just a bug?  I forgot something?

  What version of logic you use.
