Copy freezes Lightroom CC (2015)

Recently added a third monitor with a new graphics card (Adobe approved) (i.e. NVidia GTX 960). 'Use the graphics processor' preferences (Edition > Preferences > performance) remains disabled, according to the recommendations.

LR opening in any module is very well. Highlight an image, switch on the develop Module, make changes everything works as it should. Try to copy the changes with the "Copy" button (left side of the module) and the dialog box "save what" never appears. Subsequently all click any button, including "Lightroom Close" ("X") does not. I have to use the Task Manager to close the program.

I tried "Graphics processor to use" checked and unchecked - no difference. Help, please.

The dialog box appears likely behind another window on one of your monitors and if the program crashes until you find this hidden window, then click ok about this. My guess is that the windowing system is confused with three monitors. Lightroom has also only really knows how to deal with two. Disconnect one and see if it happens again.

  • Can I copy photos from Adobe Bridge CC on Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.

I used Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 and I have pictures stored on a hard drive in three different places.

    1. on Adobe Bridge CC 2015 (DNG and JPEG Formats)

    2. on a folder full of photos (TIFF and JPEG Formats)

    3. on a ship (JPEG format) file

The photographs on the completed folder and the folder of the ship are also all recorded on the folder Adobe Bridge CC.

I want to start using Lightroom CC 2015, but I'm not sure if I should copy all the photos in Adobe Bridge CC on Lightroom CC 2015 and if so. the best way to go aboiut it.

    Hi LINGARBAY,

Bridge CC is only a sort of explore to manage images, but for Lightroom, you need to import the images in the catalog and work on it.

  • Lightroom CC 2015.2.1 slow and freezing up

    Hi all!

I use Lightroom CC per day to sort and edit hundreds of images by casting. It's my lifeblood for the work!

The program has worked flawlessly until the update to 2015.2.1. After the update, I started to meet the constant lag while spending scrutinized in the Gallery of the library in my catalogs, as well as trying the module development allows you to change the basic elements of photography...

I can hardly move around the program without having to wait 5 minutes for any movement appears on the interface. The filter metadata on the right, sometimes crashes and I have to force quit the application and restart my computer to get the program works again... for 5 minutes.

After reading the help forums I have unchecked the use GPU, optimized my catalog, all saved as usual, still lower previews to the option of smaller size. No chance for the program become stable for me to use it with ease.

Thank you for reading and please let me know if anyone has any advice as to why the interface freezes and performance stops whenever I run the program. I have included below the information about my software and hardware in case this is useful.

    Programs:

    Lightroom CC 2015.2.1

  • Help: How do I copy develop adjustments in Lightroom, Lightroom CC 2015 previous (5,7)

    Hello

I've recently upgraded to the new Lightroom CC 2015 and have adjusted a few folders of images.

I need to get these adjustments in the previous version of Lightroom (5.7) as Lightroom CC 2015 has proved to be too slow and buggy to use for production.

In the settings of the catalog, I "Automatically write changes into XMP", but when I open the images at 5.7, the adjustments are not there.

    All advice appreciated.

    Thank you!

Import photos into Lr5 and then the menus do 'Read metadata from a file' for these pictures force a reading of XMP data.  This should apply to most of the settings of your photos edited LR6.

  • new computer, how do I restore data lightroom in lightroom 5 2015?

I have a new iMac, you downloaded 2015 CC Photoshop and Lightroom 2015.

I was running lightroom 5 on my old computer - I have moved these files (backup, catalog, presets, previews, etc.) on the new computer.

Will be picking up Lightroom CC 2015 these files?  I have not tried yet, I was wondering what the best way is to move forward w / 2015 of Lightroom.

After installation of Lighroom, essential to copy files are - The Catalog, Presets, AND YOUR IMAGES!

Lightroom, a database program, must have the files in your catalog and 'new' image, preferably at the same place as they were in the "old" computer

To facilitate the transfer Image files should be copied with the same exact file layout. If it is on an external hard drive, then all the simpler just plug it into the computer of 'News' and open the catalog (xxxx. LRCAT)

Reissue of links to the catalog image files may be required and there is a lot of advice on this provision. (See link below)

Best advice I've seen is here-

  • Edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments

Suppose I have a PSD in my Lightroom catalog that has not been adjusted in Lightroom since it was catalogued.  When Photo-> Edit in...-> edit in Photoshop CC 2014, it seems to me that the default should be 'Edit Original'.  However, "edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments" is always selected by default.

Here's why I think that 'Edit the Original' is the default value appropriate for this case.  "Edit Original" told me that a second round of editing in Photoshop will be perfectly harmless.  When the default value is 'Edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments' my first reaction is to ask that if I proceeded to Lightroom adjustments for the file or not, to find out, I need to set up the film so I can see the badges, then 99% of the time I'll select 'modify the Original.

Two questions: (1) why do you think that Adobe has chosen this default?  (2) is there a way to change the default value for non - raw files with whom have no settings in Lightroom?

I am running 2015 CC Lightroom and Photoshop CC (2014).

On my system Windows 7 with LR CC 2015 the "Edit In" setting is the 'last used' setting (sticky). If I choose "First Edition" the next time I use "Edit in" that's what it shows. You see the same behavior?

  • Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment has suddenly stopped working

I used photoshop CS6 and lightroom 3.4 for quite awhile. However I can not suddenly move images from lightroom to photoshop (Ctrl + E) with the "edit a copy with lightroom adjustment".

When I click on this option, it opens the Photoshop. But does not open the image. However, the other two options "edit a copy" and "Original Edition" works very well.

Also when I add as another external editor photoshop, it works very well. But as you all are aware of this create another copy of the image.

    What I've done

I checked the path of applications for photoshop and it was OK.

    I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled.

I just started having the same problem. When I edit a photo in Ps from Lr. The dialog box is not started, and if I edited in LR it takes adjustments and opens to the PS. I have Lr cc v2015.5.1 camera raw 9.5.1. I have reset all warning dialog boxes. Weird. I suspect that there is a bug. Any ideas?

Please start your own thread. Since you have LR CC 2015.5.1 you also PS CC 2015.1.2.

What you see is normal. When you select Edit in Photoshop LR and PS use the same version of ACR so no dialog is necessary. Your RAW image opens in PS with all the LR settings included as a type of RAW file waiting to be saved as all that you have selected the type of file in External Editor preferences of LR, PSD or TIF section. The only time you get this dialog window is if ACR versions do not match. LR uses a version more recent ACR uses the PS version you have installed.

  • Lightroom CC (2015)

Since the update to the latest version of Lightroom CC (2015) a few weeks ago I was able to start Lightroom. If I try to the desktop icon or the open command of the creative cloud it just won't do anything.

I use a PC with Windows 10 - until the last update, everything was fine.

I tried the signature on the "fix" identified on other forums - when I do that need me through the opening sequence of the product license or tried for 7 days then it just fails once again. I tried to remove the CC license of Lightroom. I tried the reinstalling.the software.

My CC Photoshop works very well.

    Please help - incredibly frustrating!

The key words are stored in the catalog.  Just move the catalog and your words keys will always be there

  • Go Lightroom CC 2015.1 Standalone trial

I'm nearing the end of my trial of Lightroom CC 2015.1, & I've already decided the stand-alone version would be better for my needs.  I downloaded the presets paid in my trial version & I would like to be able to use them in the standalone version, as well.

My question is... How can I change?  Should I just buy the standalone version and enter the license number in the version that I already downloaded on my laptop?  Or will I have to download the standalone version from scratch once that I buy it?

Thank you in advance for your help!  I appreciate it =)

  • Import dialogue crashes when it's attached disk external HARD - Lightroom CC 2015.6

    Hello

    You are looking for assistance.

Lightroom is suspended when you try to import photos via the import dialog.

I installed the latest version of Lightroom CC (2015.6) for Mac, and I understand that the previous versions had a bug of import but that this has already been resolved in 2015.6.

I was able to isolate the problem to my external HARD drive. I bought a WD disk Raid Duo lightning strike and loaded with photos.  When it is disconnected, there is no problem with the import. When connected, the importation is suspended.

If Lightroom is trying to read all the pictures on the external HARD disk and gets overloaded? How can I solve this?

The HARD disk is functional with the Finder and my other apps, just not Lightroom.

I don't think I've had this problem in the latest version of LR.

    THX

Phone support Adobe has solved my problem by changing the permissions on some files.  This solution is described in some of the other threads, I think.
