  It looks like you copied a symbol from one image to another, then
  "gone in ' and edited this symbol... what you need to do is create a copy
  the symbol and change this one instead... IOW...

  step 1:
  'symbol1_mc' in the library is duplicated to create 'symbol2_mc '...

  Step 2:
  you copy your picture 1 on frame 2 of the timeline just as you did

  Step 3:
  Use the properties panel to switch on stage (and the second image)
  "symbol1_mc" with "symbol2_mc"... so that you now have 'symbol1_mc '.
  frame 1 and 'symbol2_mc' on frame 2

  Step 4:
  then edit "symbol2_mc".

  Yes, you can.

  You can either use the simple method of drag - move or the right click move optionfrom context menu.

  Method of drag - move will have a copy of the music even external drive and one copy in your personal folder.
  Move To method will be "moving" the music file from the drive of the post to your personal folder. No duplicate.

  If you do not have CopyTo and Move To options in your right click context menu, use this tutorial:

  It was ok until I tried to make a new layer by dragging my 'Smart Object' layer to the new layer icon, and not using 'Control-J', as by dragging to the new layer icon must copy the properties also.

  The layer copy very well, but the properties do not copy with it, which would be a pain I want to make a number of copies and do not want to change one by one.

  When you use the standard shortcut command + J (PC: Ctrl-J) to duplicate a smart object, the changes to the smart object will affect both copies. To avoid this, Ctrl-click (PC: right-click) on the smart object, then choose new Smart Object Via Copy. Now two smart objects can be edited separately.

  Thank you for using the HP Forums. Have you tried to turn off and turn on/off the printer to confirm that the Panel is spoiled?

  If it's indeed the embarrassment. You can still copy, if it is a workaround using the HP software to scan and print.

  First of all, you must make sure that your FULL features software because you will need to 'Scan' the document (or the image).

  Once the document (or the image) is scanned and saved to a file, open the PDF/JPEG (if it is an image of document/respectively) and print.

• Smart objects - copy without referencing the Original SO?

  A question from me

  If I copy a raster layer several times for an animation to image, then it makes sense to do than the smart object layer.  What I do, but I'm missing something.  For example, there is a video going around on photo blogs today, a lady in charge by an elk, but missed the guy with the iPhone, so I quickly put together.

  

  The video has been radically challenged in the Department of pixel, so I made the Lady layer one OC and formulated a number of copies.  Same thing with the Elk (from a different source), where I used Puppet Warp to simulate a bucking motion.  In both cases, Free transforming the PW YES, or using copied, caused the original SO layer to reflect the changes.  Not good at all. And it's something that's happened to me before.

  Then a little later, Google I found this old threadand tried his advice to slide SO the layer to the new icon of layer instead of using Ctrl j.  But that's where it weird, because now I could use Ctrl j and PW as before and modify a copied SO layer without affecting the original.

  Someone has a good understanding of why my SOs don't always work in the same way for me?  I guess I should man to the top and RTFM, but I was using what I thought exactly the same workflow in different documents and get different behavior.

  I don't see this problem in PS CC 2015 (Mac) with copy/duplicate methods. Are you sure that you not open the parent (SO) and the transformation (Puppet Warp or free transform) running on the child (content)?

  Application of puppets Warp to a smart object layer apply PW as a dynamic filter that is only attached to this layer (you will see in the layers), and if none of the other layers will be affected by PW. But if you run PW on duplicate content, clicking on a smart object to see the child record, then all layers will be affected.

  Looks like you know what you're doing, but the PW behavior as a dynamic filter is specifically designed for the layer that the smart filter is applied.

  first of all, I must say that I am completely new to After Effects. While trying to do a little animation, I encountered a small problem.

  I have a text layer with a few properties, keyframes for animation applied etc. Now, I want this text to be replaced by an image. So I was wondering if there is a way to simply copy all the properties of this text layer in my layer from the image.

  When I search on the internet, I couldn't find that holding alt and dragging of the (in my case), the image in the project window for my text in the timeline panel layer could be a solution. However, I then get the error: "after effects error: layer does not have a source."

  Sorry to ask probably such a stupid problem, but I don't know what to do.

  Hi Jesskaat,

  You can add the copy protection in DDP images that can be sent for replication. Copy protection applies to DLT and reminder DDP images.

  DVD created from reminder will have no protection against copying if you apply these settings in encore.

  Sometimes I will edit a photo and later decide I want to create a virtual copy and take a different approach. The problem I'm having is that when I do, the virtual copy inherits all the adjustments that I brought to the previous copy and I can't compare my new adjustments against the original photo, not adjusted.

  I know I can remove the adjustments on the virtual copy by pressing "Reset" in the develop module, but when I then make some adjustments and do a side-by-side comparison, it compares the adjusted version that the virtual copy has been done since.

  I hope this makes sense. Does anyone have a solution?

• File hard Windows XP cannot be copied without fatal error

  Hi, this problem has been dogging me for awhile.

  Make simple back to the top of the vmware folder to a hard disk backup and all the time, it happens to

  the file 'Windows XP Home Edition.vmdk' I get an error about 90% of the way through it face saying that some data

  could not be read or written (error code - 36).   I don't know what that means or how to proceed as the read/write permissions

  for me, the Group and world.

  The Finder cannot complete the ogeration because some data in 'Windows XP Home Edition.vmdk' could not be read or written.

  If I try to create an archive, he gets through most of it but bundles with an error "year error occurred while archiving file.

  Both basically say the same story... your (aka your virtual disk) file is corrupted.

  Now the good news is that it does not appear to have occurred in an essential part of your virtual machine.

  So go get a disk imaging tool that you can use from Windows and make a clone of it as quickly as possible.

  Or alternatively, you can install the converter in the virtual machine and clone the machine like that.

• Should I have an untouched copy, without danger of my film even if the project is missing source files

  Hello community,

  Recently noticed on my page of film projects, some movies have great points of mark.  After you click on one of them and hovering above the timeline, it displays a message that says "source missing files, try to re-import originals.  Fortunately, I discovered that I still had the original files on the computer.  I re-imported them.  They came alongside the corrupt, but this has not been resolved in the timeline, which means hovering on the edited clips shown always the same message.  A little frustrating because I have no way of knowing what parts of the source clips I chose to put in the timeline panel.  However, before I continue, I decided to check the Theater tab.  There, I found ALL the movies with question marks in the intact project tab and played back perfectly.  Then, I downloaded these movies to iCloud.  So my question: even if for some reason my project of versions have been corrupted, I have all the movies intact in the theater with a back on iCloud.  Is it enough and if I can delete projects?  Part of my confusion is to determine what is related either worried I might remove something that is necessary for playback.

  Theatre contains only shared movies.  These are stand-alone files film and does not at all depend on projects and events of the iMovie library.  So you can delete the iMovie library projects (of in iMovie) you want to modify the other.  You could also remove all events that do not contain clips that you can use in the current or future projects, but it is best to keep a backup of your original media.

• How can I copy properties related without losing the connection to the control?

  I have dealt with a problem that is boring when copying / pasting properties. If the properties are bound to a control when copy them, they lose this link in the pasted version.

  Basically, the paste does not really the expected behavior of 'copy', 'paste' that results is different from the copied item. Is there a way to get around this in addition to having to go to each of them and re - link manually?
