Corel to Illustrator

I'll Suite CorelDraw X 5 on a PC CC Illustrator on Mac

Is there a way to convert my files to CDR to use Illustrator?

Corel Draw X 5, you can export to format I. Many objects remain editable. But you will not be able to completely change everything. It depends on the complexity of your files are. If you have problems, you might also try PDF and see if it works better. But I will very probably the best.

It is important that you export your files in Corel Draw. Illustrator cannot import X 5 files.

I have Yosemite on the iMac, and it worked correctly. The problem occurred suddenly. I reinstalled the driver for the Tablet and photoshop cs5, but it does not solve the issue. I have a multiple display set in place. All other applications work fine (corel painter, illustrator, indesign). Can you give some advice? Is this a known issue? I don't know if it ' s a problem caused by Wacom, Photoshop or Apple. Help, please. Thank you.Schermafbeelding 2015-03-16 om 21.07.50 (2).png

  • Problems with the curve

I have a square or polygon. I want to turn one side of right of a smooth curve. Is there a way to do this?

I have the pen tool and I am followed by an object. I want to create a side curved, then continue on straight edges. However, the tool insists on the creation of curves of 2 or 3 at a time.

Is there a way to create a single isolated or part of a curve shape that is adjustable with the two endpoints. It seems that the curves that I often creates lack levers to one of their ends, making it more difficult to get the shape I want.

I have a square or polygon. I want to turn one side of right of a smooth curve. Is there a way to do this?

ALWAYS indicate what version of the program that you are using. Assuming that CS3 or later:

(View > snap to Point on)

1 white pointer (the so-called Direct Selection tool): select the anchor of interest points.

2 Control Panel (this strip along the top of the window): click on the smooth button convert. The anchor is changed into sweetness; the two Direction handles auto-étendre.

3 white pointer: drag the handle unwanted in the anchor.

    or...

3 convert Tool: click the handle unwanted.

I have the pen tool and I am followed by an object. I want to create a side curved, then continue on straight edges. However, the tool insists on the creation of curves of 2 or 3 at a time.

1 pen: click. (Put a corner Point).

    2. move the slider. ClickDrag. (Place a smooth Point, curved segment results.)

    3. click on the anchor you just placed. (Cut off the outgoing handle.)

    4. move the cursor. Click on (places a corner Point, the line segment results.)

Is there a way to create a single isolated or part of a curve shape that is adjustable with the two endpoints. It seems that the curves that I often creates lack levers to one of their ends, making it more difficult to get the shape I want.

1 pen: Click (puts a corner Anchor Point.)

    2. move the slider. MouseDown and drag. (Puts an anchor of smooth, curved segment results.)

3 press and hold ALT continues to slip. (Coming out of the handle under the cursor moves independently the incomming handle.)

4 Mouseup. Move the slider. Click or ClickDrag to set the next anchor point.

There are other ways to make a little of what precedes, by pressing the shortcut keys to move to other tools. For example, when drawing in pen, you can press Alt to call the tool convert a temporary anchor point and drag a handful of pre-existing SmoothPoint and its opposite handle move independently (anchor of the so smoother conversion in a corner Anchor Point).

One of the weaknesses of the Illustrator in this (apart from boredom in all of comparison) is its inability to drag a handle retracted on a corner point retracted to bend an existing right segment.

There are 3 different types of anchors - straight, smooth (two direction handles work in alignment) and cusp (two handles of direction working independently).

    N °

Illustrator interface defines two types of anchor Points: corner or smooth. What you call a "cusp point" is just a CornerPoint with one or two of its scope handles. 'Dawn' (kind of a Bézier control point) is a relevant term of Corel Draw, Illustrator not.

    Illustrator: Smooth corner Point, Point

Draw: Cusp node, smooth node, node symmetric (Illustrator does not provide symmetrical behaviour.)

Scribble: corner Point, curve Point, Point of connector (Illustrator does not provide the behavior of connector).

  • Corel file in illustrator

    Hey forumers

If I get a file from another program of vector and I wan to work in illustrator, what file format should I ask as? Ive said beign esp file is whats required and what vector more supported programs and what is true or false, users of corel can record their document as a file a.i? I even heard that!

    Thank you.

Look at the context menu of the open file type dialog box. Illustrator (CS3) can open Corel Draw CDR files up to version 10. Save the files Corel without compression.

Corel Draw can also export to. The format, but not the latest version. For example, draw X 3 can save as. AI CS2.

  • Adobe Illustrator can create this kind of arts?

Hello people from Adobe, I want to draw and color fancy stuff.

Ultimately I want to draw something on this level:

http://media.Blizzard.com/wow/media/artwork/trading-card-game/series5/TCG-series5-006-full .jpg (with illustrator only, but if necessary I'm willing to switch to Photoshop)

But I want to go even further and animate such an image at this level:

Lady Vashj GIF | Create, discover and share on Gfycat

Adobe Illustrator help me to do this kind of arts? I don't have any sensitive tablet, so I choose to use Illustrator to photoshop, but I don't mind using both if which is recommended?

What is your opinion about that...

The thrust of this article is a "sales pitch" for vector graphics, based on the premise that a raster imaging software (Photoshop) is inherently more for use of a stylus and a vector program (Illustrator) is inherently more designed for the use of a mouse.

First of all, it's a false premise. The raster and vector prédatent pen tablets. I rarely use a stylus, but use raster and vector programs every day. Second, the use of a particular type of pointing device is unrelated to your question.

Consisting of (as article phrases it) "a splash of pixels," raster imaging lends itself to detailed texture. That is why it is used in photography. (It is not called Photoshop for nothing.) A vector is essentially a list of orders for forms of rendering.

But you talk more artistic style illustration original than the technical differences between raster and vector graphics. A wide range of styles can be executed to choose the type of program. Yes, raster imagery is metaphorically compared to 'paint' and graphics vector is equivalent to "drawing." But it's just an analogy, and you should not consider too literally.

Think about the foolishness of draw or paint grains of sand to a beach to draw. If working with a brush or a pencil, an Illustrator return individual grains of sand as a camera does. What he suggests a texture Sandy using nature of its medium.

It's that way with the creation of works of original art with vector raster graphics and Imaging. You use the nature of the medium chosen to suggest of things like texture, lighting, etc..

For example, go to Corel.com (I say this because that Corel is currently many examples for end-user near the root of the site) and click the link for more CorelDraw Graphics. Take a look at the combination of raster (including photography) and objects used in a single vector illustration.

Is no longer either / or. You must be proficient in both raster and vector graphic based on. Then you will discover what your particular illustration style (s) can accomplish in one or the other or both types of programs.

  • Illustrator CC 2015, need to draw the line after line with arrowhead already attached.

CorelDesigner has an option where you just draw your line / lines and arrow is already added at the end of the line.  Not only that your arrow lines can have a color outside the line (which surround it). So if you make a technical with arrows pattern when placed on top the drawing there is white or what ever color you want outside the black line (what thickness you choose so) so it's easier to read the technical drawing. So, basically, it's not line against line. That's why you would put a little white around the line. He gives him the space to breathe and easier to read the technical drawing. In Illustrator, I find that I draw my line. Then hover over the line options palette, and then scroll down arrow heads and choose my arrow head. Then calculate the rest, make outside the line have a white that surrounds it. Thus, it can be placed on technical drawings. I find there are many steps I have to do when Corel has this feature built-in and you leave. I currently have a trial version of Corel. But... I already have Adobe Suite. I don't want to have to buy another program. But I also see that CorelDesigner is somehow more user-friendly for people who need to work with drawings technical line (writing). I understand that not every program offers the same tools. But I really need the speed of it because I work with a lot of technical CAD which are handed to me. If there is a way in Illustrator to draw my lines one after the other with the arrow head already attached? Then of course I need little white around it if its duplication on other technical lines.  It just seems like a lot of steps in Illustrator. I also understand I could draw a line w/arrow attached installer as I want. Then draw another line... use the eyedropper tool and click on the correct line and my other line with change. Once more... what a pain. I feel that I have to jump through hoops to get my final result. I hope so that there's something built in Illustrator, I did not know was there and just unnoticed.

Yes, I was able to do, but this is delicate (buggy) to get there.

Make sure that the two traits have identical points of arrows and line widths.

After you have created your effect of offset on long-distance running, move the effect of shifting way somewhere else in the stack, and then put back where it was. This seems to be the only way to make it work. Weird.

    HI mourad,.

It would be better to save your file in Illustrator .eps file to open it in Corel Draw. You are still able to import .eps files in this version.

  • Maintain transparency and "multiply" in InDesign when recording to the PSD of Corel GIR

    Hello

I'm new to InDesign, but not Adobe and want to ask questions about best practices for overlay images containing transparency.

My current project is a children's book that contains a background of the mask with the appearance of an old Victorian newspaper. (brown, tint etc.)

My overlays of copying this beautiful but I am struggling to place the artwork.

I want to do is create an artwork in Corel Painter (for his beautiful watercoloring), export to Photoshop and then place the PSD on the page in InDesign.

Export of painter translated the 'freeze' layer to "compete" in PS. Can I change this to multiply without problem.

When I take off the base layer in PSD (a graph of the temporary page of Brown) color water channels previously have a horrible white fringe.

When I place this file in InDesign, there seems to be no way to "multiply" layer on the beautiful Brown illustration work I have on the page and the horrible white fringe remains.

A I guess too? I thought that it would be common in any software from Adobe to apply the attributes of layers.

I understand that it is perhaps more a poor workflow problem than a 'fault' for InDesign, but I'm curious to know if anyone has a similar experience / advice.

    Thank you very much

    Mark

InDesign uses a different graphics engine and does not honor PSD blending modes. You can place the layers separately and set blend modes in InDesign, or add the copy in Photoshop and save them in PDF format.

  • How to select objects? Thing the most annoing in Illustrator

How can choose us object as this fire-logo on my screen WITHOUT also selecting a box around it?
Whenever I select the whole of this object, not my logo itself.

But don't tell me 'block the box first. There is no problem with this in Corel Draw. Illustrator you always select a lot more than what you want.

    Screenshot_240.jpg

    The same video:

Au2 you do not have something wrong,

    selection to...

Illustrator = everything he touches (black arrow)

Corel = only what is entirely contained in the selection encompassing

That's the way it works, if you want to select the logo, select text scrolling, your logo, the way you do, then shift + click (deselect) on the small triangle, the gray background rectangle and "Che...". "text... as others have suggested.
