I tried to have it dual boot a Linux OS, worked well, then, I received a message "corrupt boot configuration data" when I tried to boot to Vista. I googled for answers, and I was not able to find any help. The only way I can get into Vista is via a command prompt any. I did everything that he restore points, and I've never had the OS installation discs. ZORIN, the Linux OS partition works very well. Any help?

  If the SFC was not able to repair files then the best thing to do is to reinstall Windows.  You can try running a disk error check, if it fixes all of the problems, and then rerun the SFC and then install and run the System Update tool.  If there is still a problem with the SFC nto be able to complete then you should do a reinstall.

  Hello all I was able to restore the computer back in working order without password, I did however have download and burn a copy of Vista Home premium at my discretion. But I use the product key legally reactivate Windows Vista Home premium but I have to say that the search for the driver for this laptop has not been easy, especially the pilot Wi - Fi that I had to go

  I am running windows vista 32 bit and I get 2 files corrupted when I run SFC - they relate to the windows sidebar (sidebar.ini and store source file is also corrupted). I did a repair installation, and this always happens when I run the SFC.

  1 - is this going to cause any problems to my laptop if I leave it alone?
  2 could it be related to a virus?
  I'm sorry for the questions, but I'm confused as to how this happened... Any help would be appreciated.
