  I got this file from my friend got sent - is a word document, I had on their computer.  So I tried to use Disk Cleanup to delete temporary files, temporary internet files and files program downloaded.  Does not work.

  Serial numbers are normally only applies to the case of the disc.  If you do not find the case of disk while you might be dealing with a scenario of redemption code... depends on where you bought the software and what is the software.

• I couldn't use the search bar on google, but I get results if I use internet explore w/google or use the address bar.

  Today, I was unable to obtain results when I put a topic into the google search bar. However, if I use the address bar it will work and I eventually switched to internet explore and was able to get results in the google search bar.

• Can not navigate using the address bar

  I can type an address in the address bar or choose from the drop-down list, but Firefox will not respond. I've updated my Add - ons, but that did not help, so I started the browser in safe mode, but the problem persists. I tried to install a more recent version, even though I was already up to date, but which has not yet solved the problem.

  I have made a few posts and update most of them, but missed this thread so far. I'll uncheck the station you have chosen as a solution and mark this on the spot.

  I know that is not intuitive, but for everyone suffering from this bug, it's a problem with the bookmarks database that breaks the: address bar. address bar | URL bar | awesome bar, or anything else you like.

  Current fix suggested. (Bug 1180419 partner)
  Rename the places.sqlite file as explained in this recently revised article.

  There is one bug fix in one of the pre versions release already, and with a bit of luck, this will be in the regular version in the next few days.

  Sometimes modules can 'break' when a new version of Firefox is available and cause strange glitches in the user interface.

• I had Google as search engine by default, when I used the address bar to search for, but Yahoo has hijacked this function and I can't get default Google.

  It doesn't seem to be an easy way to reset the default search engine to use in search in the address bar. Am I missing something?

  Hi gcraighammond, I just noticed that you had a problem, a right-click. To change the search engine, click with the left button on the icon and a list of search engine options would fall down.

  Yet once, it doesn't until you move the search box back to the toolbar AND to exit to customize the view.

  Hello pan903, you can try to install the addon Search reset , or manually reset the url search engine by typing on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), seeking the preference named keyword.url and right click and reset it to its default value.

  The iTunes Store is not the App Store. iOS runs on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, not the Mac. The Mac operating system is called Mac OS (formerly OS X).

  Your Mac can upgrade to Mac OS Sierra, but since you have Snow Leopard, you'll need to install El Capitan - you can ignore the rest. You can use the version available here: https://itunes.apple.com/app/os-x-el-capitan/id1147835434?mt=12.

  If you don't have the App store, make sure you first have the updated version of Snow Leopard. Go to  > software update, and run available for Snow Leopard updates.
