Could not load file or assembly 'drm-migration-ui' or one of its dependencies. This Assembly is built by a runtime newer than the runtime currently loaded and cannot be loaded.
Hi all
We receive this error to our client migration and we are running
We have checked all pools and we see that windows update has recently installed some updates related to the .NET Framework.
Clues for resolution are much appreciated.
Thank you very much
VINET
1 stop the DRM service.
2 make a backup of drm-config. XML
3 uninstall DRM
4 rename the old under EPM home DataRelationshipManagement installation directory so that we know, there are no files of the old installation where we reinstall
OPTIONAL
5 check that .NET 3.5 SP1 with the appropriate fixes installed on the system.
6. check that all pour.NET/ASP.NET Web Server Extensions in particular have been properly activated.
7 run aspnet_regiis.exe directory .NET 3.5 on this system. The relevant aspnet_regiis.exe will be under %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\ for .NET 3.5.
8. run IISReset.exe
9 re-install DRM in the same as before installation directory - which will be a new directory, of course.
10. Rename drm - config.xml and restore your backup of this file.
11 start the DRM service and test.

I have an app VS c# that references the assembly OR world. It worked fine in 32-bit Windows XP environment. However, when I installed and ran the application in the Windows 7 64-bit environment. The app was the following text:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'NationalInstruments.VisaNS, Version = 8.9.20.108, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 4544464cdeaab541' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified file.
"File name: ' NationalInstruments.VisaNS, Version = 8.9.20.108, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 4544464cdeaab541"Where can I find this assembly file version and why did not he ask you when I ran into the Windows XP 32-bit platform? It's the same application binary.
Thanks for your help!
Another reason, you can get this error if you have your target, the value 'Any CPU' platform in the project properties. "Any CPU" setting causes the application runs in 32-bit on a 32-bit system and 64-bit on a 64 bit system mode. It would be a problem or a 64-bit system because you don't have the 64-bit installed assemblies and a 64-bit application cannot load a 32-bit assembly. You must change this setting to 'x 86' which will force to run in 32-bit mode on 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

I'm fighting this problem for days (euphemism)...
I used to work, but now isn't an installation package. I tried to install and run the program on a couple of computers and the program hangs when loading the Dll NI. I put everything ' x 86.
The list of dependencies in VS2010 is illustrated in the attatched screenshot.
The text of the mistake of trying to run the application on the target computer is lower in italics.
Of course, I could use some help on this! Thanks in advance.

Exactly how you install OR DAQmx on the target computers? Even if you include the DAQmx merge module in your version, you always need to install DAQmx on the target machine separately.
You can also confirm that the DAQmx.dll is installed in the same directory on the development and deployment of the machines? And you have the same version of DAQmx on both machines?

Could not load file or Assembly runtime being more recent than currently loaded run time
I've recently upgraded to TestStand 2010 and Visual Studio 2010 TestStand 4.2.1 and Visual Studio 2008. I now get the following error in the analysis of the sequence for all calls to my .net dll.
"Step"My_StepType"not loadable module. Could not load file or Assembly or one of its dependencies. This Assembly is built by a runtime newer than the runtime currently loaded and cannot be loaded. »
I don't know how LONG it is. All of this worked previously. I tried to go back to the dll, but that makes no difference.
Any ideas?
Thank you.
I found where this topic is discussed in detail a bit more. It is in the TestStand reference manual that is installed with TS. TS 2010 it's on page 5-12 and the section labeled using .NET Framework under section adapter .NET of Chapter 5 (Module adapters).

Could not load file or assembly NationalInstruments.DAQmx
I get an error 'Could not load file or assembly NationalInstruments.DAQmx' when I put my application on another computer. The only difference between the two computers that I can say is that one that doesn't use the 64-bit Windows version and one who does has the 32-bit version.
DAQmx exists on the computer and I can control the acquisition of data through the Explorer measurement & cutting automation.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Garth
I solved the error by downloading the latest version of DAQmx on computers and recompiling code using the most recent version.

New-WebserviceProxy could not load file or Assembly
Hi, I'm calling a WebService from powershell, but I get the error ' could not load file or assembly "file:///C:Windows\TEMP\xbnahjh.dll '"
I am however able to call the weather sample webservice as shown in "http://blogs.technet.com/b/heyscriptingguy/archive/2009/11/17/hey-scripting-guy-november-17-2009.aspx", but not that which is placed on a different server. I have no knowledge about the services of Powershell or webservice. Any suggestions on where I should look would be useful.
I'm running the powershell in administrator mode and also used the unrestricted set-execution policy.
Hello Silvia,.
Thanks for posting your concern on the forum.
According to the description of the problem you want to call a webservice from powershell and get the error could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:Windows\TEMP\xbnahjh.dll '.
As the problem is related to a dll file, this means that some dll files are missing or damaged. In order to repair, I suggest you to check the system files are they work very well or not and to check who are trying to run the (SFC) System File Checker tool.
Scan SFC will be scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
- Go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.
- Right-click on command prompt in the list programs, and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK.
- In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
For more information, refer to this link:

I downloaded and installed ODA 12.1.0.2.1 (64-bit) on a 2012 R2 Windows Server, including using the OraProvCfg utility to save the 4 Oracle.DataAccess.dll odp.net and 4 Oracle.Web.dll asp.net in Windows GAC. The application depends on this facility is v6.5 ConnectShip warehouse that uses IIS web pages for the management of the administration. Loading the web interface I get the ODAC following error:
Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.DataAccess, Version = 4.112.1.2, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 89b483f429c47342' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.)
I can confirm that the DataAccess assemblies both Web are present in c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_64.
Anyone would be able to direct me towards a resolution of this error?
Concerning
Hi Alex,
Once again, thank you for your comments. Finally I could muscle my way through installation. For anyone else who might happen to run in this case, it's the right thing:
OS: Windows 2012 R2 (64-bit)
App: ConnectShip warehouse 6.5
Requirement for Oracle DB: ODAC 11.2.0.2.1 (32 bit)<---This was="" necessary,="" not="">---This>
As well as the installation of the 32-bit files ODAC, I also ran the utility OraProvCfg to register for the Oracle.Web.dll of ASP.Net and odp.net Oracle.DataAccess.dlls
Once that ODAC 32-bit install was in place the rest of the ConnectShip facility fell in place without the following errors.

Hello
This occurs generally when there is an inconsistency in the application of ILO version and the version of ODP.NET bits.
If you compiled/built the application with Any CPU option, please modify X 86 or X 64 and build and run the code.

Could not load file or assembly Oracle.DataAccess
I have a VB.Net application that worked fine on a Windows 2003 32-bit secure server for many months. Exe has already been compiled on a 32-bit Vista machine and then the exe has been copied to the server. Today, I was delivered a new 64-bit Windows 7 computer. I installed the 32 bit ODAC 11.2.0 and added a reference to Oracle.DataAccess.dll in Visual Studio 2010. The program compiles and runs normally on my 64 bit Windows 7 computer. In Visual Studio 2010, I 'CPU target' defined on x 86.
When I copy the exe on the 32-bit server, the following error message is returned: "could not load file or assembly Oracle.DataAccess.
The server has two facilities of ODAC 32bits, 11.2.0.2 and 10.2.0. Why does this work?
Published by: Francis November 1, 2012 13:02It's been awhile that I'm on version issues, so I'm a little fuzzy, but I think the problem here is that you develop against a newer version (even if only a little) of the Assembly, that which exists on the deployment target computer. There are policy files to redirect the old versions of the assembly to the latest version installed on the computer, but it does not work to redirect a newer version (i.e. 2.112.2.0) downwards (i.e. 2.112.1.0).
