  • Deleted some files in the windows directory a few reasons, after restarting the system. showing a victim of COUNTERFEIT windows. How to reactivate my windows?

    Hi all

I bought Lenovo laptop 10 months before staple. Today in my system, a malicious program "Progressive Protection system" is automatically installed. As a result, I searched the Internet and deleted some files in windows directory in C drive. Now after restarting the system, it's popping up a message stating "you are a victim of counterfeit windows. Even I have validated my window in internet with options available always is saying that my window is not genuine. Don't know how to turn it back on. If someone can help with this problem?

I suspect that the problem is that the malware is still present - a repair installation will not get rid of it.

    @Prad_121

Please follow the directions for the RDO and run the analysis offline so you can - at least, so we can be reasonably sure that the machine is free of malware.

Once completed, please post a new report MGADiag.

    Hi TRACIBARR,

Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications for Windows XP notifies you if a copy of Windows XP is not genuine. The notification messages only appear on computers that do not have the WGA validation process and that are running a copy of Windows XP that is not genuine. If you are running a validated, genuine Windows XP copy, you won't receive notification messages.

Refer to the Microsoft article below to download the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification update and check if it helps.

  • I can be a victim of counterfeiting, windows 7 not genuine?

How this can be. I have my pc for 4 years now and never this problem. It's a HP Pavilion gray ed. P6654-y, in the last 2 weeks I got the wire and again this notice, I can not dates and other options do not work now. I have reported this, still no answers or help. I don't know how to trust anything either. I filled out the forms, but still it won't take my product key. Windows 7 Home premium came preloaded, when I bought my pc. No disk or the other. I don't have the $109. in my budget for these inconveniences. I'm afraid that it will destroy my pc. Can someone help me? Alone and not the customer connected to the problems.  Darling

If the motherboard is changed, the original image of Windows 7 and it was running key code no longer works UNLESS the new motherboard is a HP authorized replacement. It doesn't seem that it is.

As the new card mother is NOT an HP, you will need to download a Windows 7 ISO which corresponds to the edition of computers Windows 7 COA label and use the code key located on the COA sticker. Note that the key on the sticker code is to get the user of a problem where the hard drive and any chance to use the stuff of recovery of the manufacturer is no longer available.

After you have downloaded and installed from Windows 7 ISO, you must then go to the motherboard manufacturer site for drivers. There is no point going on the HP site for the model illustrated on a sticker or a badge because he is not one of them more.

There is a link with the ISO of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit...

    Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 - U ISO: English x 64: X 17 - 58997.iso

Note that you must be able to read the key on the COA sticker code. The download will not work without it.

Have you tried to restart by phone?

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

  • How to replace installed counterfeit Windows 7 Ultimate with purchased Windows 7 Ultimate

When I bought a PC custom a year ago, it came pre-installed with Win7Ultimate. Now, I get a message 'not genuine' on the desktop. Sometimes I received a pop up box that says something in the sense of "can be counterfeit software use. I had problems with another program on this machine, that would not address the seller, so I do not know that the OS is hacked as well. I just purchased the complete program of Win7Ultimate by Amazon (sorry, MS, but they were $30 cheaper).  :-)

My question is: what I have to do a complete reinstallation of the operating system from the disk, or can I register/activate what is already installed but with my new product key?

I fear that the operating system will stop working altogether so really would like to get this beast "authentic" as soon as POSSIBLE. Thanks for any advice you have.

not really. usually takes an eye on the diagnostic report after installation
