  OK, this means that you are referring to the Web browser you use and Word. In MS Word, you can go to the dictionary and change them.   Install the fixit from article KB2258121 (fixit #50461).

  Although this problem is not mentioned in the KB problem, the fixit indeed solves this problem.

  I typed 'very' and 'very' if it has not been suggested. Really? This is something I thought would be easy to find in options, but it is not for a reason, maybe I'm blind.

  Unfortunately you cannot add corrections for words that you spell bad regularly with the spellchecker of Firefox.
  
  If Firefox does not have the correct entry in the context menu then it is not a lot you can do.
  
  You can only use persdict.dat (add to the dictionary) to add words to it which are correct, but which are not present in the currently selected dictionary.

  In Vista, OE was renamed Windows Mail.  You want the UserDictionary.lex file that contains the added words.  It is located in the top of the page the base directory of Windows Mail messages, which can be found via Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance | Storage folder (the default location is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail) or you can just search for *.lex, and then you can open the file in Notepad and find the word, then delete it.  See here for background information: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm

  Yes.

  These 'boxes exasperating with blue text', (which, moreover, I tend to appreciate) are known as 'Intuitive '.

  Settings > general > keyboard > predictive = "Off".
