CPU hit 100% + screen flickering/flashing

Hi people, I wanted to help with a problem, that I started having recently!

My CPU seems to be hitting 100% on 5secs or until this particular file with .mp4 files charges completely upwards (when I access .mp4 files), but when I convert them, the screen just flashes / flickers, before the end of conversion.
I installed need for speed undercover on my laptop 2 months back, ive played and now I try to play the screen flickers once, twice, and soon, it minimizes that I start to play the game, when I click on the tab again he'll come for about a minute of my time to game and then same problem once again It loads well, only sometimes when it loads what's going on, but most of the time is when I start to play the game, because I can't just play this game either, until I get this fixed a problem.

The system remains calm, but the success of CPU 100% and then the problem starts.

What could be the problem?

I would be grateful for any help.

Thank you

For you advise adequately requires more information, if you please.

1. which model Qosmio & OS?
2. Toshiba provided video drivers or if not from what source?
3. can you connect an externalmonitor and describe what is happening?
4. what happens if you run the application conversion 640 x 480?

It; s a case of trying to diagnose the card video driver or guilty TFT.

I have a PC in real-time with a card of RIO 7833R. I write the values that I read a microphone in a FIFO at a sampling rate of 4 kHz.The length of the FIFO is 2048. The PC in real-time, when I call 'FIFO read' function to read say 400 data samples, the use of CPU time real PC hits 100%. Why is it so? The function 'Read FIFO' is placed inside a while loop.

    Hi Prashant,

Reading the FIFO is a method of querying, so if the number of elements specified to read are not available when the method is called, it queries the FPGA until they are.  This causes the CPU to 100% usage. You can find more information on this subject and a way around this here.

I have a touch screen of the gateway LT41P05u Intel 2805 - I think that it came with Windows 8. The problem started a week ago, I think that after I asked me to upgrade to Windows 10. • Screen flickering on the new Satellite R850-10F

    Hello

I bought my Toshiba computer 3 days ago and my computer laptop screen flickers randomly, especially when the computer is running (CPU load or data WIFI). Twinkle is similar to this image:
http://olavthoresen.com/Pandora/flickering.jpg (I just found this picture on the net to illustrate the glitter - it is not not my computer).

I don't know if it's a hardware problem or something wrong with the graphics drivers. I did the following to solve my problem:
-Reinstalled the graphics driver to support Toshiba
-Updated the BIOS to the old version
-Full system restore (so it's back to factory State)
-Slightly hit in the back of the screen

... and the problem still persists. It seems more that there is a HW problem I can't find someone with the same problem. What should I do?

Bring your notebookt at the local dealership and replacement demand. Don't waste your time anymore.
You should get a new one.

  • Screen flickers at the office & hole back Outlook email

Hi, we just bought a Netbook from Toshiba NB200 with 1 GB of ram and a 1.6 GHz processor Atom. She has Windows Home Premium installed.

About passing to preview full view of emails (and also sometimes changing calendar to email & return) the screen flickers frequently move from Outlook and then flashes on the desktop for fractions of a second and back. Emails that take usually less than aseconde loading can take up to 10 seconds when this happens.

It seems to happen regardless of how many other programs are open at the same time.

A similar, probably related, issue is encounterd when opening Word Documents large (> 2 MB). On these occasions, it's just the title bar that sparkles. Would like any suggestions!

Thank you Jessica but I think you missed that the computer is a Netbook, so there is no cables for the monitor and it is obviously an LCD. Perhaps the word "Flicker" mislead you. I should have said "flashes". The images on the screen are very stable, it's just that they go in this small phase of blink of one image to another (usually in the program open on the desktop and the back window. All this happens in milli seconds. I actually filmed the screen with my video camera and current transitions image to image you see.

It happens with Office (especially Outlook), Firefox, even a small publisher of text called EditPad. It is quite intermittent and can happen with a single open program or a lot.

Last night I tried to change the data source on a Word merge document and when I chose the data source directory dialog box started flashing and continue for about 45 seconds.

Apparently, there is nothing wrong with the display, it provides a nice, crisp, stable image. Process using explore to monitor CPU and RAM useage doesn't give clues either. Use of the CPU can be as low as 30%, 80% RAM and it still happens.

It's happened since we bought the Netbook (end of December). I also did a clean install of Home Premium.

  • Toshiba 32AV615DB screen flickers offshore for a split second every few seconds

    Hello

I got my toshiba TV to the end of 2009 and have not had any problems until recently.

While watching my Virgin + box and while on the game console, the screen flickers offshore for a fraction of a second every few seconds.

At first I thought it was me flashing, it happens that fast until someone else noticed it as well.
This does not happen all by using the TV for a monitor for my PC.

Anyone know what the problem is and if I am able to fix it or not?

I bought the TV RicherSOunds with a guarantee 5 years so if it is something bad I can resume and they will fix it or give me a new free.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

If the warranty is still valid, I recommend you contact the technician (point of service) in your country to control the TV.

All you can do is check some settings and connection cable, but that's it.
Troubleshooting TV is limited and in most cases, these issues need an audit by experts.

  • Portege R100 - CPU usage 100%

    Hello!

    Everyone knows about this problem?
My Portege R100 after installing the new copy of Windows XP and directly after the installation of the display driver, Trident (reboot) bizarre behavior.

Welcome screen goes white on the lower part (when the first yellow line is). Then I have some software problems.

When to start records search engine, when I update the list of wireless networks and I explore the files by clicking on 'My computer', (this does not happen when I right click on START and 'Explore') displays CPU usage 100% and everything is so slow that I can barely move a cursor.

Everything goes back to normal once I closed above applications.
I can install all drivers and all right, but after Trident display it is bad.

This is the driver I use since I bought the laptop, I do not know that is fine.
I installed it several times before and I have a few copies of it, which I've already tried so it must be good.

The cross thing only my mind is a hardware failure.
Someone of you knows than before?

    Thank you...

It has nothing to do with your computer - this is the trident driver problem - there is a work - around
    Try changing your display configuration-

    (1) right click on your mouse to the desktop to bring up the display property, and then click Advanced - here, you will see a tab say somethng like 'graphic acceleration.
    (2) reduce the rate of acceleration - move the tab to the left - make sure it is not full
    (3) this trident driver can cause the BONE to redraw the screen whenever you move your mouse with some applications

If my post is not detail for you
Try google with the keyword "how to turn off the graphics acceleration in windows xp" - you will get some good instructions

    That will solve your problem!

Good luck and enjoy your nice laptop!

  • Screen flickers if I use Wlan on Satellite L20-101

    Hello!

I started to use my WiFi card about 3 weeks ago. My laptop has a year now. My problem is that when I use my card WiFi (Intel 2200BG) screen flickers sometimes. It is not very often (every hour or two) but iritates me.

Does anyone has this problem before. All solutions would be apreciated. I have no other problems with my laptop.

Very strange. Waves of perhaps a wireless LAN is a bad influence on the screen?
It is relly very strange because the problem sometimes, but not always.

Are you sure that this happens when you use the WiFi network or maybe it's a problem general screen at 100%. Sometimes the screen begins to blink because the inverter is faulty FL.

Have you tried to update the graphic driver WLan driver? Do it!
You should also compare the BIOS installed on your portable computer with the BIOS on Toshiba page. Maybe an update will help you. But be careful. Be sure you use the good BIOS and the right update procedure.

  • Y40 screen flickering on battery

It's my last chance to solve it before you take it to a service center and pay to have it sorted, sell and never buy a Lenovo product again...

I have a Y40-70 who is aged 15 months and when I unplugged the power the screen starts flashing about 90% battery.

I've seen this mentioned several times on the forum and did everything that was suggested. Updated all the drivers, etc. of energy saving modes and nothing does.

Running Windows 10, back to 8.1 to see if it fixed it but didn't, so I think that it is a material and not a software problem. I also heard that it is a LCD screen and not a battery problem, unfortunately I have to pay a tax of diagnosis at the center of service anyway, really annoyed with all the experience of Lenovo to be honest.

    Hey.

I bought a new screen, corrected the problem immediately, 100% a hardware problem. New screen looks great, much better than the workpiece.

The process is really easy, here is one that I bought, moved within 5 minutes.
