Create a gradient shade in double

Hey again,

I am trying to surpass me here, I want to create a copy of each gradient in the active document and give it a name like "Batman 1" "Batman 2" ect.

I can add new gradients and together as their stop ect but I can't figure out how to create a perfect copy of the gradient in the library of shades of color.

Did someone knows if this is even possible?

I have been looking and the only thing I found which approximates to an older script which is only compatible with CS. In this they you copy everything WHAT I want just to stick to the gradients at the moment. Here is the link: http://illustrator.hilfdirselbst.ch/dokuwiki/en/skripte/javascript/wr-usedcolors

I looked at it as an example of how to do something like that, but because it won't work with CS6, I can't really experimenting or tinkering to understand how it works.

Hey guys,.

It has been a very busy week for me, but I kept working on it. As I continued working on what I needed, wanted this evolved and new number of gradients created is based on the number of stops in the copied original gradient (so if you have a gradient of four judgment this will create four copies.)

Note that I do not entirely on mine so I credit my friend Dan here for all his hard work and effort to help me with this.

Hope you guys enjoy it.

#target illustrator
var doc = app.activeDocument;
var gradientCount = doc.gradients.length

for(i=0; gradientCount>i;i++){

    for(x=0; doc.gradients[i].gradientStops.length>x;x++){ //counts current gradients in active document
        var tempGradient = doc.gradients.add()
        tempGradient.name = doc.gradients[i].name+","+i+","+x //gives gradients names
        for(z=0;  doc.gradients[i].gradientStops.length>z;z++){//counts gradientStops in gradients
            var tempStop = tempGradient.gradientStops.add()
            tempStop.rampPoint = doc.gradients[i].gradientStops[z].rampPoint
            tempStop.color = doc.gradients[i].gradientStops[z].color

            }
        }
    }

  • Create a gradient with my own

    This may seem like a really stupid question, but how to create a gradient using my own colors? I've recently updated CS3 form where I could just drag a shade of color on the slider to set the color of gradient. Now I can not do. If I try with one of the default colors it works without problem, but if I create my own swatch and then I get a circle with a line through it, saying: I can't do it.

    I'm probably wrong but I can not work what and you'd be grateful for any help.

    Thank you

    Lucy,

    There may be something wrong with the prferences. Try the following (you may have tried / some of them already) and see if that helps you (the following is a general list of things, try when he's not in a file specific; 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted preferences):

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (maybe three times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) to move the folder with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

    ((5) browse and try the relevant among the other options (point 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy);

    Even worse, if no other solution appears, you can:

    (6) uninstall, run the cleanup tool and reinstall.

  • Trying to create a new shade but I can't save it with values (RGB) I want.

    Hi and thanks for your help.

    I have a client who has a very precise idea of the colors he wanted for his logo:

    RGB: 137/150/150 (HEX 899696)

    RGB: 212/09/04 (HEX 09D404)

    I developed the logo, everyone is happy and trying to get the colors EXACTLY right. Every time I have create a new shade and apply it in Illustrator, green returns to a different RGB and HEXADECIMAL. Some random number and the green. I checked tones and Web save RGB and overall and still, nothing.

    I have worked with since CS2 CS and now uses CS6 via creative cloud. It's my first time with a Mac for design, and I am really frustrated. I've never had this problem before.

    Any advice is most appreciated. Thank you.

    I really need to rethink these colors. How can I enter my RBG values and keep em!

    I created your question in the screenshots of photoshop, but your information raises more questions for what you let out as 1) what profile you have your Illustrator work RGB value (must be srgb if you set the hex colors), and 2) at what time your hex colors change (in the sample itself, in the object or in the document being saved (.jpg)?

    the short answer is not all hex colors can "fit" exactly within the color space sRGB (or is it the .jpg format) - try record in .png format and by checking the values in photoshop (apply the source sRGB profile when you open) - try google colors hexagonal change vs .png .jpg (this was here before)

    My screenshots show that I put the hex values that correspond to your RGB numbers (in .psd) - but when I save for web (.jpg) offset figures slightly - if you use .jpg only as a destination format, you should choose a hexadecimal color that exactly matches this format

  • Create a gradient of the script.

    Create a gradient by scripts, the command stops and color.

    Do not understand in the document of reference Photoshop cs6 javaScript, how and where to access the gradient.

    Please help me, I can't do day after day...

    The principle of the script consists of scanning in black and white and the texture of the color of the pixel, registration of the colours in the painting.

    So in order to decompose the matrix of color from 0 to 255 black and white texture.

    Until you get the texture gradient.

    0 where blacks where 255 white. each color will be assigned a user ID and it will move to the color in the color gradient texture.

    Sorry for my English.

    Thank you!

    For a large a gradient with script, you must use scriptlistener. Then modify the variables in this code to match what you want. I use this method to create gradients on the forms which are sampled from a reference image.

  • Creating a gradient in particular

    Hello

    How to create a gradient as the Attaché in Photoshop?

    Thank you!

    GRADIENT_QUESTION.jpg

    There are two ways you can do and the two are very similar.

    You can apply a foreground to transparent gradient on the image it self. (it's destructive)

    You can create a mask and apply a black to white gradient in the mask for this layer of (non-destructive) image

    The advantage of going the road of mask is that the color will be filled with color regardless of the layer below the image. (If no layer is there it simulate white but is actually transparent) The layer does not have to be a solid color, it could be a model, another gradient, or even an image. This allows you to explore styles of layer as shadows and glows.

    Make sure just that if you go the road of mask that you record in a format that supports masks, layers and transparency as psd or tiff. This is so that no matter when in the future you can change your mind and change or remove the mask. That at that time, you would see the original image.

  • Quick way to create a gradient of selected fill color?

    I create gradients all the time and I wonder if there is a quick way to create a gradient based on the fill color of the currently selected object. For example: I chose an area with a BLUE fill color. I'm going in the gradient panel and see that what the gradient will be if I click on it (which is usually based on a default gradient WHITE to BLACK, or it comes from the most recent gradiented object, I've touched). So I click on it and the gradient is enabled with the stops not being is not BLUE. What I want is... If I select a box with a BLUE fill and click on gradient - it will create a gradient with the two cases being the same BLUE as the fill color. It would be very convenient because instead of clicking on each stop, shift-eyedropping the blue color in an area of duplicated, it would begin immediately with the gradient of blue-blue for me to adjust (in the case below for a button I'd the superior light and lower darker stop).

    Screen Shot 2012-12-14 at 5.04.17 PM.png

    It is rather useful to select an object with a gradient to 'copy' this gradient, select a new object, click the gradient panel and have this new object to take on this exact gradient. But most of the time I'm not degraded copy but I'm creating new ones, and it makes more sense for me to create a gradient fill color. It would be helpful to someone else?

    This script is that it creates a gradient with both having the same color as the selected object

    var idoc = app.activeDocument;
    var sel = idoc.selection[0];

    var myGrad = idoc.gradients.add();
    myGrad.gradientStops[0].color = sel.fillColor;
    myGrad.gradientStops[1].color = sel.fillColor;

    var fillcolor = new GradientColor;
    fillcolor.gradient = myGrad;
    sel.fillColor = fillcolor;

  • create a view with the double data type

    I have Windows XP with 10g 10.2.0.1.0

    I need to create a view of the double and with the type of data, such as NUMBER (5.2), NUMBER or VARCHAR2 (20).
    such as:
    create see test (view_test varchar2 (20)) as (select view_test from double)

    Help, please. Thanks in advance.

    It seems a little strange, but you can do something like this with the CAST function:

    SQL> create view dual_view as
      2  select cast(null as number(5,2)) col1
      3        ,cast(null as date)    col2
      4        ,cast(null as varchar2(30)) col3
      5  from   dual;

    View created.

    SQL> desc dual_view
     Name                                      Null?    Type
     ----------------------------------------- -------- -------------------------
     COL1                                               NUMBER(5,2)
     COL2                                               DATE
     COL3                                               VARCHAR2(30)

    I used the NULL values, but you can use the actual values if you wish.

  • You will need to create a 'gradient mask' using a b & w photo in image.

    I have not created a document again and I want a reflection on how to do it: I want to use a black and white image of continuous tone that is somewhat close to what would be a "masking" but with rounded edges - so he properly dismissed on the background image I want to use, do the black part of the image used as mask much of the effect of a gradient mask : the background image shows through everywhere where there is the 'black' and 'tone' of the image. I hope this makes sense.

    My first thought is to create a layer mask and then stick the black and white picture on that, but I don't know if it will work for accepting the "tones" of the image and working properly.

    Anyone had experience with this kind of thing that they could share and what steps should I take to ensure that this effect works?

    TIA,

    Ken

    Yes, your layer mask will accept 256 shades of gray as a mask.

    Option, click on the mask and paste the image use > adjsutments > reverse.

  • How to create a gradient of irregular

    I know how to create square, circular and radial gradients, but sometimes I need the gradient to a more asymmetric or irregular shape of, say, a cloud, a star, a dog or a bottle. What are some good ways to do this?

    Thank you.

    Place a filled area of your gradient desired on a transparent layer in the opposite case and add a stroke layer style. The Type of gradient fill value and Style to the bursting of the form. Adjust the size to give the desired effect.

    Note that the effect depends on the width of the image; the narrow parts only get one end of the gradient, and the environment might not get anything at all, so you can reduce the opacity of the layer (NOT the layer opacity) filling, or add a color overlay or a decorative motif for the layer Style.

    Hello

    creating an object on top with black and white, the black gradient fill should be in the bottom and white on top

    Select all objects and from the Opacitt in the cliché control opacity mask bar

    or: window-> transparency

    and click on Make opacity mask

    more black in the gradient, it will disappear.

    You have a hue/saturation layer, which affects the gradient. The Red V layer in your Layer palette is blue due to the hue/sat layer, so it also affects the gradient layer. You need to cut the layer hue/sat layer underneath, by pressing the alt/opt clicking between the two layers. Or you can put this adjustment layer an other layers that you want to adjust in a group and change the blend mode of the normal group.
