Create PDF without image compression?

How can I create a PDF from multiple images without any compression?

Seems that, even if I do optimize pdf and select png (change settings for max res and no reduction of scale), when he saves the PDF, 100% zoom, it is obviously bigger than my original and compressed png (or maybe it seems blurred, because it is to be enhanced when I never asked).

In short, if my png 500 x 500, I want it to be exactly this size to 100% account once the pdf file is saved to. I don't want no compression, I don't want to any scaling... Why is it so difficult to do?

Any help is very appreciated!

However, the conversion can be lossless.  If you make a PDF file from a SINGLE image (different option) and select the image format in files of Type, you can click settings and choose the compression format. Choose the ZIP and equivalent PNG compression is used.

You also have a precise control when printing to PDF.

It's just the function to combine files, which is quick and simple, has no choice.

    Hello world

IM currently trying to convert my Diploma´s thesis in PDF format but will have a hard time with the images.

Any converter I try, the pictures come out asymmetrical and low quality, as below:

    Docx-PDF.png

Not only if the pictures are distorted, but the font size is not the same as before. I searched online and fiddled with the DPI setting, but nothing helped.

Ive tried Acrobat X as a Word, the "convert to PDF function" plugin for Word 2007 and also cute pdf writer.

I changed the settings for all the foregoing maximum DPI, etc. maximum image quality...

Could someone please tell me what I do wrong? I don't see anything to try.

Unfortunately, I have to use expensive and inflated 'image converter', because this is the only format that will accept the spine of book.

    Thanks in advance,

I was afraid of that. Your screenshot is a 72 dpi image (maybe 96 DPI). Type will never look decent below 600 dpi. As a printing professional I would keep a type images at 1200 dpi. (But avoid this road at all when it is possible)

    By conversion of a document to an image of the photo, you have;

    Lost the ability to scale.

Has eliminated the ability to search the text.

Inflated to the size of the file.

Lost police hint that improves the appearance of the border.

  • Export to PDF without compression always changing of raster images.

When you export to PDF format with compression disabled, my images are still under treatment and smoothing. How can I stop that from happening? My goal is to output a scale print proof to customers (frequently pixelated) using the template of evidence I put in place in InDesign so that it always displays the level of pixelation who will become in the INVESTIGATION period.

It seems that the Viewer is the question. I hate to use Acrobat because it took forever to load and was slow and clumsy in its actions. The new version seems to be better. I'll try using them in the future because most people probably use Acrobat reader to view these things anyway. I'll tell our team. Attached is a perforated cap of the same file read in preview (left) and Acrobat Pro (right). Thanks for your help. She was driving me crazy. The point of all this is to show the customer that 19 ppi is far too low resolution for final printing. The original was sent revised downward to us but at 150 dpi.

  • How to create PDFs with built-in quality video?

    Hello.

I am trying to create a PDF file that contains the embedded video, but the PDF ends with a very bad quality video. I create the PDF by InDesign, but I also tried to place the video in a PDF video Acrobat Pro X. same results. No matter what I do, the PDF has very poor integrated quality video, at the point of being unusable for the client's job. I see no documentation anywhere to choose the "quality" of the video inserted in a PDF file.

    Details of the source video

    -video 1 (page 1 of the PDF): 640 x 360 px .mov (H.264, 29.97 FPS, 2500 + kbps)

    -video 2 (page 2 of the PDF): 640 x 360 px .flv (H.264, 29.97 FPS, 2500 + kbps)

    Other details

-PDF created with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (latest updates applied).

-Attempt to create PDF of various different machines (all running different versions of Mac OS X, all running CS5.5).

-Videos are placed in InDesign @ 100% actual size, PDFs are set to see full size of 100% (so there is no current scaling the could be the cause of the video to display so bad).

I've included examples of creative files and PDF file, which can be downloaded from this link:

    http://files.upincstudio.ca/_OZmix3P78Qd65R

If anyone has any suggestions as to why the embedded video looks so bad, it would be much apprecated.

    Thank you

    Kristin.

When you embed a video/sound/SWF in a PDF using InDesign CS5 + or Acrobat X + there is never any transcoding or resampling of the media - flate compressed so it can be written in the content stream, but it's just an exercise without loss of reconditioning, and when subsequently extracted by the application to display that is bit for bit identical to the file you chose in the first place.

    theboyk wrote:

-Videos are placed in InDesign @ 100% actual size, PDFs are set to see full size of 100% (so there is no current scaling the could be the cause of the video to display so bad).

And that is your problem - there no such thing as '100% ' in a PDF file if you are talking about the page view. PDF pages use the physical dimensions, which unless you use a different video player widget or set the annotation is displayed in a floating window, your images will not hit the screen 1:1 pixel. Unlike with Photoshop, when the zoom level of Acrobat is to ' 100% ' it means he's trying to make a page of the letter about 8.5 inches wide on your screen. Due to the limited precision in formats of paper and screen resolutions, made interactive stuff on the page will always evolve, even if it isn't that 0.1% - and scaling mean DURATION resampling.

Acrobat and Reader play video annotations using Flash Player, which uses a very basic but very effective algorithm across content in real time; the result is more memory than you can shake a stick at.

  • Is it possible to convert HTML to PDF without pagination?

I have a HTML file I want to convert to PDF. Ideally, I would like the PDF file consists of a long page without be divided into different pages. Is this possible?

I don't want to cut too far the image that it is unreadable. I tried to adjust the page size settings, but the page larger than I can generate is a tabloid portrait orientation (14 x 17), but she still print to more than one page.

If paging cannot be deleted, does anyone know of any HTML/CSS code that I can use to break pages in some places? If I am forced to use a PDF file paginated, I at least don't want items in page break in the middle.

I use Acrobat Pro XI on a MacBook Pro. Browser-Wise, I have Firefox, Chrome and Safari installed, if the HTML file to open in one of them made a difference.

    Thanks in advance, aj

You can create a custom page size, BUT you go through the Acrobat interface

File > create > PDF Page Web... >

In creating a PDF file of the Web Page window, put in the URL that you want to capture

In creating a PDF file of the Web Page window, click the settings button

in the Web Page Conversion Settings window, click the Page Layout tab

In the middle sections, Page Size popup menu select Custom

In the width field, set the size of the width of the page in inches

in the field height set the height in inches

In the section margins, you set the margins (up, down, left, right) in the fields in inches

In the section value Portrait or Landscape Orientation

in section scaling set whether or not you want to scale the contents of the page

in the Web Page Conversion Settings window, click the OK button

In creating a PDF file of the Web Page window, click Create.

  • Is there a trick to convert JPG of RGB to CMYK without re compression with loss of?

So I have around 750 images for multiple folders and categories. Each image has 6 variants - TIFF 16-bit photographer Beaver excessively eager, TIFF 16-bit, extracted from circles (performed by student workers, who are not English that we are not in the United States), then standard 3000 x 2000 (or other image format appropriate) PNG with answer keys for print edges Web and light, a JPG of 1800 x 1200 for the web and a few smaller also for web PNG standards.

TIFF 16-bit with BG retrieved is the root files, and a series of actions draws the PNG. The PNG standard is then pumped through actions and image processor to create output files.

So, I just found out that a seemingly random number of them are in CMYK mode. That was not a problem until now, because our Web site and our printed documents have no problem with CMYK and RGB files.

But now we are starting to distribute these images to our customers - who are only interested in the JPG of 1800 x 1200 and perhaps 900 x 600 PNG, which are more easily drawn directly from our Web site files rather than by sending them all the 180 GB graphics directory.

And some of them say that the photos are rejected. In particular, are not allowed the CMYK files.

So limit the damage - rebuild our entire library of images of the 16 bit TIFF

    OR

rebuild only a couple of different sizes and download from there, by replacing the images on the next major release (report to next year).

I'm * NOT * anxious to preserve the color, since 99% of our products are black and shades of gray, with only a hint of color.

I am concerned about the degradation of the mode change on 60-70% images compressed, and then re-register again with the JPG lossy compression.

I'm about to start tearing into things with my actions and replaced nearly 1500 files online, so I would like to be sure I'm doing things in the most appropriate way.

If there is a tool that can do this conversion without another passage of compression, this would be ideal.

Whenever you register or book a JPEG, it is re-compression.  No exceptions, no work around.  No magic 'tool that can do this conversion without another passage from compression' If you want to end up with a JPEG re-recorded.

JPEG is a lossy format.  Period.

I know how to trash the plist file. This does not help, when I did it.

    Hello there, blackxacto.

Looks like you're eager to synchronization of PDF files on your iPad Air without using iCloud services. The following Knowledge Base article offers some great information on it:

Use iBooks with PDF documents on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    Synchronize and save PDF files

The first time you open iBooks once you upgrade to iOS 9.3 or OS X 10.11.4, you will be prompted to use iCloud. Learn more about the timing of your books and PDFs using iCloud.

You can also add PDF files to your iTunes library on your computer by drag-and - drop the PDF file in your iTunes library. The files will be displayed when you prepare your device to synchronize. If you use OS X Mavericks or later, drag and drop your PDF documents into your library to iBooks using iBooks for Mac. All files PDF or iBook in your iBooks library are available to synchronize your device iOS through iTunes.

To synchronize a PDF from your computer to iBooks on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch:

    1. Select your iOS device. (Learn how to synchronize with iTunes.)
    2. Under settings, click on books.
    3. Select Sync books.
    4. If iTunes is set to sync only the selected books, make sure that there is to check the box next to the PDF file you want to synchronize.
    5. Click on synchronize.

You can also use iTunes to back up your PDF files. To transfer a PDF file on your computer and save them, transfer purchases from your device iOS to your computer. These files are not in an iTunes backup. Learn more about what is included in iTunes and iCloud backups.

There are a few additional information in PDF and compatibility available here:

  • error in creating PDFs

I am having trouble with my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.10.4) creation of PDF files, it creates a PDF file that shows the image reversed (as in a mirror). Please help, I need to create PDF files often for work.

    Thanks in advance.

  • The create a System Image will save the FPGA code and the RT code?

I have some cRIO systems which were broadcast in our manufacturing plant for some time. A slight problem has been discovered in the programming and created a workaround solution, but a fix should be implemented. Currently, I have no way to test my new code without loading on the cRIO and it works on the tool while the product is running. If there is a problem and I need to do some debugging, the tool cannot be down for an extended period. I would write a vi that will save an image of the cRIO so I can reload the software that is currently running and prevent a situation of prolonged downtime.

My question is, when I did in the past with a product that has different tests, calibration and the final client software RT, it seems that the code FPGA not be saved (not a big deal at the time since the new FPGA code was compatible with different deployments RT). The new FPGA code won't be compatible with the old RT software, so now I'm worried. I would like to just check on it until I have all the boss breathing down my neck. If the service will not save the bitfile FPGA, is there anything else I can do for the tool to return to the previous running state while I solved problems that may exist with the new code review? The original code was lost by my predecessor. Otherwise, I would use just that.

    Hi Jeremy,.

You are right, because the create a System Image does not record the bitfile with the image of the RT. Using the configuration system API, you will need to deploy the RT image and then the bitfile FPGA compiled later. To ensure that you can return to the previous version of the software running on your RIOs, you could simply save the current image and bitfile before deploying the new image and bitfile.

However, the best way to proceed is to use replication Deployment Utility (RAD of OR). I have provided the link to the tutorial on the wheel, where you can download the utility. This exe will make images of the any of your RT targets and will also include the bitfiles with them. You can also deploy these images to several targets at once. In particular, you can read about the Bitfile (s) configure for FPGA Deployment Flash; the bitfile will be deployed at the start when stored in flash memory.

I tried to create a system image to multiple computers, which results in the same error codes. I reformatted the disk and run chkdsk, but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest avoid you the Windows backup program and you get a good commercial backup program. This forum is frought with for a windows problem reports. I know that I was very impressed when I tried it. Two me are familiar with and like Norton Ghost (which I use for 7 years without the 1st problem) and Memeo, which has 30 day free trial and you can buy it for $29.99 - you can download it from http://memeo.com. You can get Ghost for almost nothing (like me), if you look at the sales.

CNET has a lot of reviews of backup program to

    .

Some of them are free (the last time I checked there over 300), some have free trials (more), and some are buying only (more than 200).

Many hours of searching the Web for answers about a year ago, said that relatively few people have this problem and proposed solutions in the forums have been complex, machine dependent and seem to fail for most of the people who have tried a fix...

So when I gave up and called Microsoft... they told me to take my problem to anyone assembled my computer...

The man who built my machine told me not to worry, simply store all my files on the cloud, as he does...
