  I'm sure that this questions is buried somewhere, so I apologize if I'm repeating a question that has already been asked and addressed. If this is a redundant question, simply pointing me back post relavent will help.

  I have a 6000 USB. I configured and works very well in a test panel Max is possible to log data acquired at one any file without Labview signal Express, studio or lab windows/cvi measurment? In a similar note, being able to acquire and record data without another routine of programming such as .net or C++. Maybe there is a way to create a task and call it from an excel macro?

  I know that I dug my own grave by getting to the bottom of the similar USB DAQ. However, even with the USB-6000, there must be a way to connect the data being acquired without having to invest more in software development. Does not seek to do anything fancy like trigger or manipulation of data, I'm looking to record the voltages measured to drop and do post processing in Excel.

  Still, I'm sure that this (or at least a similar) question has been asked before. Any help would be appreciated.

  I think that Signal Express, it is what you really want to use here.  It was designed for the acquisition of very high level, simple as.

  At a minimum, you will need to install the LabVIEW runtime engine.

  You may need to install more depending on what your program does.  Maybe the drivers DAQmx or the VISA run-time.

  After hitting my head against the desk to repeatedly create packages, try on different computers I have finally found a solution.

  These packages have been copied on an external drive, if I try and install from the external drive, which is a common practice, it fails.

  If I then copy this file pkg from the outside, to the computer I install, then run it, it will to and moved very well.

  That is mind-boggling stupid, because it's rare that you have to copy the file into any computer, it is less always installed off the coast of externally, and many people in the company are pushing on the network and the management of the suites so there is a serious problem in Adobe package manager if this is the case where it cannot manage the Middle installed offshore.

• Reading an XML created previously by LabView

  My problem is, as the title says, I need to read data from an XML file, if the file does not exist, creates it LabView. So far, it's working. After the creation, when I start the subroutine and want to read the data from the XML file, it brings me Code Error 1006 and tells me something not being able to read as "the XML tag is not the same type as the type of the variable is connected." (roughly translated from German)

  The Variable I want to read something is a Cluster consisting of 2 Clusters constisting of 1) two digital items and 2) a string and an array of 1 d of 12 digital element.

  The part that confuses me is that LabView saved the data itself without problems and in its own XML format. So it shouldn't really raise no problem read now back to the same variable, does?

  If someone has an answer, I'm happy whatever it is, this has been driving me crazy all day

  He seems to have been a problem with the different data types that I didn't know, as the type of data in my cluster in the routine of writing did not differ from that of the routine of reading.

  I have a lot of labview code I want to turn it into a DLL. The dll will require some global state initialization after cleaning on process_attach and process_detach. If I was building the C code DLL, that I would create a DLLMain function to take care of this, however when I look in the properties of specifications of generation of a DLL in the LabVIEW Project Explorer, I can't find an option to set my initialsation code and stop. Note that I use LabVIEW 8.6.

  On another note, in looking at the docs for the Call library function node we're talking reminders for the reserve, cancel and abort. What does mean to 'reserve' and 'Cancel '? The description suggests that these reminders can be used for initialization and cleanup but I see not how make use of this in a context where my labview built DLL could be described as some other environment (e.g. an exe written in C).

  I'm still fairly new to LabVIEW so I apologize if I missed something obvious.

  DLLMain is VERY limited in what it can do without causing a charger global potentional lock in Windows System. The execution of LabVIEW VIs is something requiring an infrastructure that is not safe for DLLMain initialization already almost 100%. So there is no way that I can see, LabVIEW could allow you to run a specific VI at load time. And change DLLMain yourself isn't an option either, given that LabVIEW that creates on the fly for each DLL and the code is quite tricky.

  What is the problem about the design of your DLL in such a way that the user must call an initialization function explicitly before using other features in it? After all there is no global state in a LabVIEW DLL, except by functions that are loaded into memory and remain in memory for as long as you want to maintain global state. Once function initialized global X() a memory of leaves before the Y() function that references global was loaded into memory, the enitre a global state is lost and reset to the default state when loading function Y().

  Hello it is well-established if a person possesses a .dmg file and trying to convert multiline to the command line, commands and you're done. But is there a similar way to how a person can create a .dmg files/files file using disk utility to create a .iso file without having to create .dmg and then convert into .iso? Y at - it a 3rd party app that can do this, or perhaps do it directly from the command line?

  Too bad, I was getting a lot of hits from google to create the .iso to a cd/dvd, etc.. But there is a way of the command line to do this as well, so I'll post it for those maybe with the same question. This is done from a terminal of course window. Enter the following text:

  hdiutil makehybrid -o ~/Desktop/image.iso ~/path/to/folder/to/be/converted -iso -joliet

  (1) they must be entered Boolean to your VI. But, it is a good idea to make a stop at the beginning of your VI contribution? (THINK THE STREAM!)

  I don't understand what is the question. The function of new directory has an entry path like the function to create a folder in LabVIEW 8.5.

  The code you have posted the check if file or a folder exists function calls in LabVIEW 8.5.  Are you really asking if there is an equivalent of this for LabVIEW 7.1? This specific VI is no 7.1, but you can create easily using the File Info feature instead. You can check to see if this function returns an error, and check the error code.

  As other users have posted, DAQmx Base and DAQmx are two different drivers.  It is recommended that Windows users install DAQmx on their PC.  However, a version of DAQmx Base also exists for the Windows environment.  Your VI is expected to require fewer changes after installing this driver.
