Create UDA HSP_NOLINK

Hello

Question: We are trying to run a calc on 1 Plan and found that it performs a XREF/XWRITE on plan 2 (another basic data) in the same application (monitoring of sessions via EAS). When I did the research, I found that I should I assign a UDA, HSP_NOLINK for the dimensions common members.

Implementation: I created an attribute dimension as 'UDA_Shr' in the library shared and copied to the application and associate it with the dimension of Account_Shr (assuming that the XREF could only be members in the account dimension). After creating, I added the HSP_NOLINK members in the Gen-1 account dimension (could not add the HSP_NOLINK to the entire dimension). After that, I've deployed the application again (full deployment) and represented the calc script. It is again an additional session for XREF in common members.

I don't know if my application was right or if I'm missing something. I would be very happy all patience trying to understand and explain.

Thank you
NISH.

After app have been converted into EPMA, it can Ωtre annulΘe. If your app is EPMA and use application library to keep it in sync with Essbase. You can check the app sync status.
Application library you can see only EPMA app menu planning application is common to all types. Perhaps some element should be hidden or disabled it for EPMA, but I can't make the decision rather than product developers

  • Planning of the properties at the time of the balance

    Hello

"In planning, we have time properties such as 'Fill' balance, average weighted Actual_Actual" and "weighted average - Actual_365" but in Essbase, we don't have them.

Wonder how Essbase stores when planning is refreshed in Essbase?

    Thank you

Planning will create UDAs in the essbase, the best way to understand what database it does is to define a member property in the planning, cool off, and then take a look at the outline of the database using the Regional service.

  • Download the UDA in files .ads.

    Hi gurus,

I am trying to download UDA .ads My.cnf in EPMA application, but the UDA isn't getting associated with members.

Here is the content of the file:

    ! Section = Dimensions

    ' Name. DimensionClass | DimensionAlias | DimDataStorage

    Entity | Entity | Entity | NeverShare

    ! Article = DimensionAssociations

    ' BaseDimension | Property | TargetDimension

    Entity | UDA | UDA

    ! Hierarchies = entity

    "Parent | Child | Dtx200 | IsPrimary | MemberValidForPlan1 | Plan1Aggregation | Data type | UDA = UDA

    Ent100 | D4421 | StoreData | THERE | THERE | + | Not specified | TestUDA1

Can you get it someone please let me know if there is an error in the download file.

I can see that 2 children under dimension "UDA". HSP_NOLINK and HSP_UDF. Creating new UDA appear as children of the UDA dimension? IE TestUDA1 would appear as a brother of HSP_UDF?

If I have more than 2 of the UDA should I create several dimensions with type = UDA.

    Thank you

    ~ RN.

    Thanks Amarnath,

Manually, I added a UDA, taken from ads and then added the UDA in the format.

I had not added the members of the UDA UDA before joining, dimension that missed me.

    Thank you

  • ODI - shared the assignment of the UDA in Dimension

We use the ODI to create accounts for two types of plan of a single application.  The second application, we need to HSP_NOLINK and HSP_UDF of the UDA on 23 shared accounts.  However in ODI, there is only one field of the UDA to fill.   How can attribute us these UDA's for only the second request and not the first application?

We are on 11.1.2.2 planning and 11.1.1.6.0 ODI.

Too bad.  In any case, you need both of the UDA.  I'm having a hard day

  • UDAs multiple setting using the construction of the dimension

    Hello Experts,

I build quite a large number of members who have more than one alias and several UDAs. I am able to assign multiple aliases by using separate rules file and define in each rule file, what alias update element. However, I am unable to repeat the same thing with the UDA, there is no available option.

I created the csv file to build two dimension with different UDAs, but the second file always overwrite the UDA already assigned. Is it possible to assign several UDA via Sun build?

    Thanks in advance!Aliases.JPG

    Hello

See if you have deselected this option: allow the UDA exchange - values UDA of changes made to the values specified in the data source (if the option is not selected, UDAs of data source are added to existing UDAs)

When, in the framework to build Sun, 'allow editing of the UDA"is defined, you will be able to add a single UDA. When you clear this option, then all values from UDA are updated.

For more details, consult: Oracle Essbase database administrator's Guide

    Hope this helps!

  • UDA do not validate

    Hello everyone,

I created a UDA called "HRItems" under my dimension account and tried to use it this morning in a calc, but I get the error message below:

Function message '@UDA (Account, "HRItems")': 'HRItems' is not a valid value of the uda for dimension 'account '.

I updated the database several times with still no luck.  When I use a different UDA, I've set up a few days ago it worked fine and I think I did the same steps.  Can anyone think why would not work?

    Thank you

    Bret

You who try in Calc Manager? I have seen this error in 11.1.2.3.500 output. What I did to disconnect and reconnect so that the Calc Manager can update the tables.

Try double checking, inserting the function using the function selection and when you do this check if the UDA is present in the list drop-down or not.

  • Creating a planning as one copy of another application

    Gurus,
I need to create a new planning application, and most of the dimensions would be a copy of another that we already have.
I can simply do an export using the Outlineload export from the existing, then use outline support for import to the a new right?
or should I do something else.
What about the UDAs, etc do I need to do something?
    Thank you

Just make sure that the formulas are in one line. If you have a multi line formula then the csv file will move in a different line.

  • @UDA is slow?

    Hello

I tried to use the @UDA function in a calculation script and I noticed that it took a long time to run.

    I tried the following:

1 - Create a UDA called testUDA in a sparse dimension member called OCV99999 and use it in a statement to FIX as FIX (@UDA (dimName, "testUDA"))
    vs
    2 - use FIX (OCV99999)

Case 1 took time then 2 was almost instantaneous. It seems that the @UDA function has been executed by all members and leading to take much more time than I expected.

I would like to know if @UDA is a function that is slow and if I try the same faster with another option.

    Thank you

A fix on a single Member will still be faster than a fix on something that must assess a member set. In the case of a member, it targets individual Member, in the second case, it must assess all members to see if they meet the criteria and bring back all the members that satifies this condition.

  • Clarification of EPMA on multiple UDAs on import using the ads file

    Hello

Its probably very simple, but I'm new to these things about EPMA dimensions import with a file of ads. (for application HPCM)

-Suppose I have 3 Dimensions , entities and activities into account and for each, I need an alias to store and a couple of UDAs
Now the dump here's what I have since an ads file

    H5. ! Section = Dimensions
    ' Name. DimensionClass | DimensionAlias | UseForMapping | UDADuplicate | CommentDuplicate | ConsolidationDuplicate | BSODimensionDataStorage...

    Accounts | Generic | Accounts | Y ||| +| LabelOnly | Sparse | N | LabelOnly | 0 ||| 0 | 0 ||| N | 0 | 3.
    Activities | Generic | Activities | Y ||| +| LabelOnly | Sparse | N | LabelOnly | 0 ||| 0 | 0 ||| N | 0 | 4.
    Alias | Alias | Alias | N|||||||||||||| 0 | 0 ||| 0 |||
    AllocationType | AllocationType | AllocationType | Y ||| +| DynamicCalc | Dense | N | StoreData | 0 | Dynamics | 1. 1 ||| N | 0 | 2.
    Measures | Measures | Measures | Y ||| +| LabelOnly | Dense | N | LabelOnly | 0 | Dynamics | 1. 1 ||| N | 0 | 1.
    Entity | Generic | Regions | Y ||| +| LabelOnly | Sparse | N | LabelOnly | 0 ||| 0 | 0 ||| N | 0 | 5.

*Measures and type allocation are present by default in HPCM.

    H5. ! Article = DimensionAssociations
    ' BaseDimension | Property | TargetDimension
    Measures | Alias | Alias

Now, according to my understanding, that I need to define an association alias for all Dimensions, I need alias to.

My question is that I can use the same dimension of Alias for all dimensions or I have to create a new one for each ?

Will be below notebook? (using alias dimension for all)
    ' BaseDimension | Property | TargetDimension
    Measures | Alias | Alias
    Accounts | Alias | Alias
    Entity | Alias | Alias
    Activities | Alias | Alias

Also in my hierarchy of entities, a single member can have 2 Adu assigned.
So for this example works http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epma_admin/frameset.htm?ch03s01s06.html

    +! Hierarchies = Plan1Account +.
    +'Parent; Child; UDA1; UDA2; UDA3; +

I have to create 3 separate UDA UDA1, UDA2, UDA3 dimensions in the *! Section = size * and then associate them with the entity in the *! Article = DimensionAssociations

    Any help is appreciated.

  • UDA in vs EPMA classical planning

    Hi guys,.

I have a question about the dimension of the UDA for best practices in applications of EPMA, I used the UDA in conventional applications, but now I'm about to use in EPMA, and I have the following case:

I want to assign UDAs to a number of dimensions (account, Version and a few custom dimensions).

My question is, is it okay to create a single dimension of the UDA and associate it with the other dimensions (as an Alias) or is it better to create a separate UDA for each dimension? (UDA, Version UDA account and so on).

    Appreciate your comments.

    See you soon,.
    Omar

    Hello
I don't think that there is a noticeable difference. You are able to associate a single dimension of the UDA in multiple dimensions, it may be wise to keep everything in size even if you do not have too many of them.

  • Display of UDAs in Essbase report Script

    Hello world.

I am creating a report script where I show members by their UDA instead of their membername or alias.

I have a large number of level 0 members who each have a tag for them to the UDA. I can query by the UDA in the report script, but it displays their membername, not the UDA in the final output.

I need it is because I have a second Essbase cube that is to receive the data of this first. The 2nd cube has a level less than the source cube, therefore I am 'connecting' with a UDA on the members of level 0 of the source cube that corresponds to the membernames of members at level 0 of the target cube.

I guess I could possibly use a linked partition?

    Thank you!

As you found, UDAs return the Member who are associated with them. Maybe create a size of attribute, which is the same as the ADU and retireve there. IF you want to go with the approach of the partition, it would be a not replicated partition a linked partition that will transfer data of one cube to another.

  • UDA creation for a dimension member

    Hi all

When I create the UDA for a dimension member in my planning application I get the following error.

The dimension associated with ID has not been defined for this property. You want to create the association now?

Can you get it someone please let me know wahts this error?

    Thank you

I take it as an application of EPMA, you must create the association of dimension between the property of the UDA and the dimension of the UDA.

  • UDA abd Alias Dimensions in Hyperion Planning

    Hello

Someone could please explain what is the UDA and Alias dimensions in hyperion and when is it used?

    Thanks in advance.

A UDA is an attrbute user-defined, it is basically just a name that you create, and it can be marked against members, you can use them to group and retrieve data based on its characteristics, for example, you may want to describe a number of accounts as expense accounts, you might have a UDA called 'Fees' and then associate the members account.

An alias is just like an alias in daily life, is just another name for members, for the account, you have a member account named A90001 name, is not very descriptive and not the best for reporting or for users to view so you can give it an alias of 'check '.

  • Shed light on the loading of the UDA

    Hello

My dimension member accounts each have 3 UDA associated with them, and I'm trying to load the metadata in EPMA using flat files. I'm not clear on how to load the information of the UDA.

I created a dimension of the UDA - UDA1 and try to associate with the dimension of accounts in the following way.

    ! Section = Dimensions
    ' Name. DimensionClass
    ACCOUNT | Account
    ALIAS | Alias
    UDA1 | UDA
    ! Article = DimensionAssociations
    ' BaseDimension | Property | TargetDimension
    ACCOUNT | Alias | ALIAS
    ACCOUNT | UDA | UDA1
    ! Hierarchies = ACCOUNT
    "Parent | Child | Alias = default | SourcePlanType | Plan1Aggregation | Dtx200 | SoldeTemps | SkipValue | VarianceReporting | TwoPassCalc | MemberFormula | UDA

Since there are 3 UDA for each Member, I separated them with comma.

    This format is correct?

I received the following error message for all columns starting with (SourcePlanType... UDA)
Import Dimension ACCOUNT does not have a mapping for the property source (SourcePlanType... UDA). The data for this column will be ignored

Please notify. Greatly appreciate your help

This member exists in the dimension of the UDA? I think that the error is displayed for the dimension you are loading cannot find Member in the dimension of the UDA
