  Cool that it's jQuery slideshows, is that they all work basically the same way, once you go through the learning curve of implementation that you will be able to use an any of them. In this way, that you don't have to be locked into a particular look. You can use that will look best for each site.

  How to create a tag.class via the window of Dreamweaver CS5 rule.  I want to create a class that affects a specific tag.  I can for this use the code window, but I'm trying to use the Style CSS window.  The tag that I create is 'ul.navbar.  I was able to be machined, but I get "ul .navbar", note the space between L and the period.  I want to remove the space and just create "ul.navbar", without having to rename.  The code will appear as:

  left: 1em;
  top: 2em;
  list-style-type: none;
  }
  The question is perhaps more base on my understanding of CSS rather than Dreamweaver, if yes, I'm sorry.  I'm just starting to work with CSS.

  My point is that this is not the best way for the style of this element of the page in most cases.  However, if you create a rule made up, you can enter "ul.navbar" directly in the selector name field.

  Don't overuse of classes.  They confuse you in just a few weeks after you have modified looked at the site.

  in this thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/582456 mhollis55 said that the creation of a site map is removed from CS4. In my CS5 I couldn't find these functions nor, I found this feature in my old CS3 (!) however. Here are some links where you can create a site map:

  I created a behavior in Dreamweaver. When my cursor hovers over a nail of the thumb

  in a table on my site they go to a larger image for viewing. I noticed that when in

  a browser between thumbnails the first image (hand) is displayed. In this case for

  all 14 images on my site. I need remove this distraction.

  I solved the problem in adusting the html code, reset a new table and adjust my images

  in Photoshop CS5.

• Dreamweaver CS5 hangs on Start Up

  Just installed Dreamweaver CS5 on my PC which runs on Windows XP Professional. He spent an hour and a half on the phone with Adobe for them to tell me that it is a microsoft program. I can't run the CS5 without the program of your stay there close. Adobe had me create another account on my computer and it will work on this, but I don't want to sign on and off different users in order to use my Dreamweaver. It is a file that is corrupted I need to delete?

  You can go to Site > Manage Sites > export to create files .ste with your settings to be imported into the new version of the site. This way your info ftp and other site specific parameters will meet instantly, rather than having to create new definitions of site by hand.

  Other that that, there really nothing that needs to be done for CC to understand your old files.

  When installing CC, make sure you click on the advanced settings in the Installer link and disable "Remove older Versions". You can easily have CS5 and installed CC at the same time to make the transition less sharp. There are some pretty big changes between CS5 and CC can take you awhile to get under your belt. Have the old version will allow you to continue to work with something that you know while you do the adjustment with the new software.

  CC has more Spry example, if whatever it is done using the framework Spry will no longer offer that you dialogue windows when you want to change. You will need to either open the old program or switch to the jQuery version (if it is available in the DW interface). It won't 'break' your Spry effects, it just will not allow you to change from the windowed interface (adjustments should be coded manually or in the old software).

  You can try to reset the Dreamweaver preferences.

  Following the file and the folder are removed from your system:

  / Users / your User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver

  Rename the folder of Dreamweaver preferences, for example, Dreamweaver CS5.5 Old_Dreamweaver CS5.5 folder.

  / Users / your user name/Library/Preferences

  Rename the folder of Dreamweaver preferences, for example, Dreamweaver CS5.5 Old_Dreamweaver CS5.5 folder.

  Restore preferences in Dreamweaver CS4 and CS5, CS5.5

  Access the hidden library files Mac OS

  When Dreamweaver starts, it creates a new preferences file and the folder.

  If it helps doesnot, maybe you can try to create a new admin user account and check. If this is useful, you can try to uninstall and reinstall in the new user account.

  I'm doing a background inside a form field validation when you use Dreamweaver CS5. It is not strong enough to conduct "internal". I remember a validation named "Yaromat" behavior which is downloadable as one. MXP and installed using the extensions Manager and accessible via - maybe - one of the Group of experts ' + '.

  I'm looking around only to find available Yaromat behavior in the. ZXP and only for Creative Cloud Dreamweaver format.

• Dreamweaver CS5 very slow after Windows update 10

  I have recently upgraded ("retired") on the windows 10 and met with a multitude of problems with the programs I had installed before the upgrade.

  Unfortunately, after about a week of race successfully dreamweaver cs5 I ran into a major issue. There are currently about 45 seconds in my cursor and the text as he tried to use dreamweaver. I update all the current drivers for dreamweaver cs5, but this has not solved the problem. Some things to note:

  I currently have 8 GB of RAM, and the system tells me that I'm using about 1/3 of it.

  I have a 4960 k 3.5 ghz i5 processor

  Graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD series 7900 / 3 gb

  I also have dreamweaver and the operating system installed on a SSD

  Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if you have had similar problems. I understand the CS5 is an older version of Adobe, but it worked fine for about a week before another windows 10 run updates.

  In order to not - where the issue seems to have been resolved. The only thing I changed was my fps graphics card to the max of what I had already done but it seems that it has not applied the first time around.

  Not sure if this has actually resolved anything but dreamweaver seems to work a lot better now.

  DW dislike html errors, actually, even tiny errors that browsers completely ignore can send DW in spasms. Browse your page of the validator to http://validator.w3.org to ensure that you are not missed something simple, especially a closing "or ending tag like.

  Please bear with me as I'm not familiar with coding and usually work in design mode.

  I was faced with the menu bar drop-down menu with Spry horizontal and finally managed to do look like I want it to look. I have inserted in my template page. When I saw in the browser, it seems to work correctly. So far so good.

  When I apply the template to a page, all the CSS style disappeared (without defined styles or applied properties)

  in Design view. In Live View mode, it seems OK. Unfortunately, I've updated several pages, and all have the same problem.

  Can someone please? I'm at my wits end!

  Previously, I always applied a model to a page by clicking Edit/models/apply a page template. He has always worked in the past before you insert a menu bar horizontal Spry. That seems to have created the problem.

  Your suggestion was very helpful. Now, I can at least see the styling (although not the Spry bar menu style). I'll have to re-do about 8 pages, but it's a much smaller mountain to climb now.

• Dreamweaver CS5 to CS6

  I use for Dreamweaver cs5 and I created 2 sites of the program.  I now Dreamweaver cs6, but I don't know how to import my recent Web pages to the cs6.  My Web page files are on my desktop but when I click on the import site open the button is grayed.  It is said that my Web pages must be in .ste but they are just in folders.  Can someone please advise on what I should do?

  No need to import anything.

  Go to Site > new Site.
