Creating a dummy column

I try to use "combine with a similar request" option allows to combine two diff of his reports. But impossible to create the dummy column.

Could be he you pls let me know how to create it?

Hi tintin.

Yes, it works for all types of data. Or shoot a column that fits this Union application of the same data type.
Shoot a column of answers and f (x) remove the definition and puts a zero and you could rename it.

hope replied.

See you soon,.

  • A query about the dummy column of OBIEE.

    Hi gurus,

    I have a report where the data are extracted at the level of the regions
    the regions are: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H

    Now we have a reqmt to one of our customer to group regions and classify them by degrees. But we do not have any categories in our database. This reqmt is intended for the users of a given country only if we do not want to add the new column of quality to our database. We want to create a new dummy column for this specific report only and want to hardcode the ranks like this

    High grade: Regions are A, B, D
    Low level: regions areC, F, G
    Average level: regions areE, H

    So the reqmt is I want to add a new dummy column (only for this particular report) called Grade with three values: high, low, medium

    How to do this, pls suggest.

    Kind regards
    RC

    Hello

    You can add an additional column to the request. In the expression builder, you will create a 'CASE' statement

    When BUSINESS regions ('A', ' B', ' d. ') then 'Top quality '.
    When regions ('C', 'F', 'G') and then "low Grade".
    When areas at point "E", 'H' then 'middle class '.
    END

    Regions is you logical column

    Good luck

    Hi Pavan,

    Yes, you can add dummy columns which are not available in the .rpd. You add any column of the report and change its function to reflect that the static value as the fx could be "NA".

    I hope this helps.

    Add the dimension as a join table in the LTS made-> general tab, and then in the formula in the column, use a case statement to evaluate the dimensional condition and return the column done or 0.

    KEY: Size is not an LTS on its own by the way (as your picture shows)

  • Ore.Create () creates a numeric columns as binary_double instead of the number

    When you create a table of a data.frame database using the function ore.create () R, the packaging of ore, all numeric columns in the database are stored as a double binary. Some algorithms, such as the importance of the attribute, do not work with this type of columns it is therefore necessary to convert these columns of type number. It is possible with the to_number() command and is not a problem when there are a small number of columns.  But what happens if there are 200 columns to convert?

    Is it possible, from the beginning, when you create a data.frame database table to define the column as a number?

    The function dbWriteTable in package ROracle contains an argument, ora.number, which can be used other BINARY_DOUBLE and NUMBER:

    dbWriteTable (name, value, conn, row.names = FALSE, overwrite = FALSE, append = FALSE, ora.number = TRUE, schema = NULL,...)

    ORA. Number: a logical value indicating whether to create a table with

    Oracle 'NUMBER' or the 'BINARY_DOUBLE' columns when writing

    digital data. Specify "TRUE" to create a table with Oracle

    «NUMBER» values or specify 'FALSE' to create a table with

    Values of 'BINARY_DOUBLE' Oracle. The default value is 'TRUE '.

    Specify "FALSE" if one or more of the values of digital data is

    "NaN".

    Here is an example of use of iris integrated r data:

    > library (ROracle)

    Loading package perl: DBI

    > drv<->

    > conn<- dbconnect(drv,="" username="" ,="" password="">

    dbname = "localhost / DB: sid ')

    > dbWriteTable (conn, "IRIS", iris, ora.number = FALSE)

    I created an enhancement request to have this feature added to the ore to create the feature in a future release.

    Yes read you it correctly.

  • How to create the default column in XML schema?

    Hi all

    I would like to define a default column Let's say Run_Date as Date data type in XML (XSD) schema definition and would fill column Run_Date SYSDATE, when XML documents are parsed to this schema.
    Let me know, how can we achieve?

    Thanks in advance.

    Also, I can not change the contents of the XML file, because it is generated by another language, but I can change the definition of XML schema, if necessary.

    Well, if you can not change the XML instance, you cannot change the schema, it conforms to the.
    You can add an optional attribute whose value by default, but we can only use a static value.

    How do you insert the file into the table?

  • If you programmatically, via an INSERT statement, then I think your best bet is to create a new table with a relational schema XMLType column and a DATE column:

    CREATE TABLE employees (
      dt_created date default sysdate not null
    , xmldoc     xmltype
    , CONSTRAINT emp_pk PRIMARY KEY (xmldoc."XMLDATA".EMP_NO)
    )
    XMLTYPE COLUMN xmldoc STORE AS OBJECT RELATIONAL
    XMLSCHEMA "EMP.xsd" ELEMENT "Emp" ;

    If you choose to do so, remove the XML schema and enter it again with "genTables-online false."

  • If you have inserted the file via the XDB (FTP, WebDAV, createResource) repository and relying on the table by default feature, then you may be out of luck.

  • Creating a dynamic column editable

    I tried to make my dynamic columns as editable. The problem is that my dynamic columns are nested.

    Now editable column works fine when I have diff columns with a different name. For example, col1, col2, col3 (not nested)

    Or I nested columns like "pass"(parent) given two columns col1 and col2. ".

    But, when I use them in a dynamic of columns in which all of them have the same name, in the example below, each with the same name 'col', I can change all of them, but the textfield never faded away, when I click on ENTER.

    Do not know what is the problem in your code, but it is easier to use TextFieldTableCell than building your own TableCell from scratch.

    This change to the example I posted in How to create a tableview for this? works for me:

    package itemtable;

    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.beans.value.ChangeListener;
    import javafx.beans.value.ObservableValue;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.control.ChoiceBox;
    import javafx.scene.control.TableColumn;
    import javafx.scene.control.TableColumn.CellDataFeatures;
    import javafx.scene.control.TableView;
    import javafx.scene.control.cell.PropertyValueFactory;
    import javafx.scene.control.cell.TextFieldTableCell;
    import javafx.scene.layout.BorderPane;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.util.Callback;
    import javafx.util.converter.NumberStringConverter;

    public class ItemTable extends Application {

      @Override
      public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
        final DAO dao = new MockDAO();
        final ChoiceBox choiceBox = new ChoiceBox();
        choiceBox.getItems().setAll(dao.getCategories());

        final TableView table = new TableView();

        // Make table editable:
        table.setEditable(true);

        final TableColumn nameCol = new TableColumn("Name");
        nameCol.setCellValueFactory(new PropertyValueFactory("name"));
        nameCol.setCellFactory(TextFieldTableCell.forTableColumn());
        final TableColumn priceCol = new TableColumn("Price");
        table.getColumns().addAll(nameCol, priceCol);

        choiceBox.getSelectionModel().selectedItemProperty()
            .addListener(new ChangeListener() {
              @Override

  • Add a field to a form after you have created a new column in a table

    Hello

    I searched extensively in the menus help and tutorials and maybe I missed this, but after you add a new column to a table. How do I change the form so that when the data entered into the form, it is filled in the table? Is there a tutorial or an explanation of the process somewhere?

    Thank you

    Hello

    This must be done manually, but it's simple. Create a new item of the type you want for example text item, select the list by right-clicking on the region and select Create a Page element. A wizard will start when you select the type you want. Press next and enter the name of the element. for example, P3_LAST_NAME. Press next and enter a name for the element. Press next and select the Source Type as a queried database column. Press the button create.

    It will be useful.

  • Creating a new column with the text in the Essbase reports.

    Hi all

    I need a report to print a default text "MyText" at the beginning of each line as a new column.

    Is it possible that I can create a new text column using reports in Essbase?

    TIA,
    KRIS.

    You can if you use the mask and width. I did in the past, but it's not as simple as that. I find it much easier to do this with the jexport of Java CDF (look for it in the forum for more details). It is faster and has more flexibility that report scripts for exporting data.
