Creating a problem of ms access data source

Hello
I tried to create a ms access datasource (standard ms access driver) in the CF admin, and I have this message all the time:

"Connection verification failed for data source: dog.
java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SequeLink JDBC Driver] [ODBC Socket] [Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access driver] bad user name or password.
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SequeLink JDBC Driver] [ODBC Socket] [Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access driver] bad user name or password. »

I tried with the username-password that I usually use to log into the CF admin, but it does not work. Someone shows me a clue, please?
Thank you

Try to enter only these 3 parameters

CF data source name: dog
Database file: c:\pathToDatabase\yourDB.mdb
Use default username: (check this)

  • Problems connecting to JDBC data source

We have recently upgraded to JDeveloper 11 g to 10g and flies our applications (primarily the Struts). They are compiled fine, and I am able to create data sources and successfully test the connection to open the data source through the window of Application resources. The problem comes when I try to connect through the application. In Java code, I use a DataSource object to get the connection of InitialContext.lookup ("jdbc/sun_DS1") where the JNDI name is in parentheses. We used to define this connection in JDev 10 g via the file data - sources.xml and it worked very well. Now with 11g and defines the connection to the application, I don't know if I'm missing a step between the creation of the data source and run the application.

The error I get is: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: while trying to search for "jdbc.sun_DS1" did not find subcontext "jdbc." Solved "; rest the name "jdbc/sun_DS1.

    Help, please.

Once you run your application on the WLS console launch (http://localhost:7101/console) and look to see if JDev created a data source for you in WLS.)
You may need to add it manually.

  • OBIEE BP1 64-Bit 11.1.1.6.2 - define the MS Access Data Source

    Hello
On our 11.1.1.6.2 facility OBIEE BP1 64-bit I would like to define a ms access db as a data source. We had that in OBIEE 10 G too, but this was a 32-bit - Source ODBC.

It seems that OBIEE 11 G accepts only the 64-bit ODBC sources. But for 64-ODBC aren't there existing ms access drivers.

Everyone facing the same problem and found a solution for this?

    Concerning

    Hello

You AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe download and install then able to find, you can Excel data source in the 64-bit version. (we have also faced this issues a few years back and test with windows server 2008) works very well.

You can download at the bottom of link

  • create the repository with the MS Access data source

I am new to the creation of repositories in OBIEE and I was looking to create a simple initial.  I have a MS Access db, I want to use as the source of data, but in step 2, I can't connect to it.  I don't see what he listed as a DSN for ODBC connection types.  what Miss me?

I had to create the ODBC via the system, not user DSN DSN so that it appears in the list under the process of creating the repository

  • CF9 64 bit MS Access data sources

As I understand CF9 don't 64bits support MS Access datasources.  Is that correct?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of connections to Access mdb still in production.  Some are easy to deal with and I can convert them to SQL server.  But some are generated/populated by CF6 applications and then sent to other groups outside the company.

So we still need support of MS Access.  Should I go with 32 bit CF9 on windows 2008 R2 server?

I can't comment on the driver, but I'd still go for 2003 R2 rather than 2008 R1, simply for the integrated backup engine. Server 08 R1 had no way to perform backups without third-party products, 2003 had at least NTBackup.

If backups are not a problem, or you have another product, might as well go 2008.

  • Data source

    Hi guys,.

Is it possible to create the HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) data source OBIEE report?

Also, is it possible to use the report smartview as source of data as Excel type?

    Thank you

    Hello

Yes, HFM is a source of support for OBIEE (OBIEE 11 g only, on 10 it was did not support).

OBIEE uses SMA driver to get the structure of metadata of HFM, take a look at a few additional parameters: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/bi.1111/e10540/datasource.htm#BIEMG1366

There is also a tutorial with step by step how to use it: creating tables of management in Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 11 g

'report smartview as source of data as Excel type': you want to use Excel as a data source for OBIEE and Excel is filled / updated using SmartView?

    Well... Yes... but...

The Excel need to have data in the file itself, it will only run a refresh of smartview / recover when OBIEE needs to get data, so in the end, it's just a static file Excel and someone need to refresh the Excel when required.

  • Problem of driver ODBC Oracle when trying to create a data source / Win XP

    Hi guys,.

hope I'm here with my question.

When I try to create or data source in Windows (regardless if user or system data source), and then click 'Test connection', I get this error:
    * [SQLAllocHandle from Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] drive on SQL_Handle_ENV failed *.

TNS name is correct, tnsname.ora is correct, the user is correct.

I have the driver for an OraClient10g is installed on my machine.

I'll reinstall this package? Other things to do to fix this?

    Many thanks for any help,

  • Access denied on a data source

A big problem, I can't use my new datasource CF.

    I use to declare datasource on a 64-bit C F9, Windows Server 2008 environment CF 64 bit.

I have about 80 datasources declared (mdb Access files).

I use the same procedure to create my datasource.

    create the source data ODBC32.

Then create the CF data source bound to the created ODBC data source.

    As I always do.

When I check the data source in the CF admin, he said OK. everything looks good

And when I do a query to the data source,

    I have this message:

Security: The requested model denied access to allergan_prof_sante.

This is the inner exception message: access denied (coldfusion.sql.DataSourcePermission allergan_prof_sante)

I tried to create another source of data.

Same behavior. OK in CF admin

And "access denied" when you make a query.

So now, any data created source not available.

I don't change anything on Windows Server

The only change is my client PC which ftp the file mdb.

It of Vista and now windows 7.

Any emergency assistance is welcome. I can't use more new source of data.

All the old datasource are working properly.

I looked at the properties of mdb files, old and new, they have the same.

    Thanks for help.

    Thank you all,

I checked the DSN name in odbc32, CFadmin, code, I put the same everywhere.

Same behavior. (and always successful in CFadmin)

BUT the BIG: security sandbox problem, really very good, full of grace...

Then, when you create a new data source, it is now automatically is datasource "disabled".

I just have to turn them back on.

Why this changed? God only knows?

Or maybe "security sandbox was not checked some time ago, and I did it,

do not think that this new data source will be disabled.

Thank you very much again, I was so lost and down.

    Stone.

We traced the issue to a new data source that has been added were we found that along with the entry of jndi name expected in the jdbc xml file, there were two empty entries:

    < jndi name - > weblogic.jdbc.DataSource.EOI < / jndi-name >
    < jndi name - > < / jndi-name >
    < jndi name - > < / jndi-name >

The data source has been removed, consoles restarted, the re-created data source and the problem happened again. To get through the issue, had to manually remove empty tags in the xml file.

We have created 2 new sources of data, and it happened only on the spot. The same data source each time. In addition, this question moved not when these changes have been made in our regions of bass (development, qa).

The version is the same in all three regions.

    WebLogic Version:

    WebLogic Server 10.3 Fri Jul 25 16:30:05 EDT 2008 1137967

Is this a known issue? And if so, is there a way to avoid it, other than to start checking the newly created XML files permanently?

    Thank you

    Ted

Yes, it's a common problem documented in the Oracle documentation:
WebLogic Server: Get ' weblogic.common.ResourceException: is already bound ' exception with name JDBC JNDI (Doc ID 1154250.1)

The only solution is to remove the empty value entries.

    Bravo!

  • ColdFusion 11 allows the use of MS Access 32-bit data sources?

ColdFusion 11 allows the use of MS Access 32-bit data sources?

Well well, my first rhetorical question: is 2014, why MS Access? MS SQL has free versions that are much faster and more stable than any version of MS Access, I have no problem of migration.

Now to your question, 32 bit "should not be a factor." 64-bit applications can talk to most 32-bit applications through an API without too much difficulty. The only exception that I know are 32-bit applications that rely exclusively on the DLLs for their API - I don't "think" MS Access has this limitation. It was probably at least 15 years since I touched what whatsoever in dealing with MS Access so my hesitation to be clearer in my response. Good luck.

    (8) save the key file.
    9) double-click a key file to update the registry.
    (10) in ODBC Data Source Administrator, you should now see the 5.2 drivers under drivers Tag.
    (11) add the ODBC connection.

Once installed, go to the registry under:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/WOW6432Node
Select the driver of Merant 32 bit that you plan to use, for example
MERANT 5.2 OEM 32-BIT Oracle Wire Protocol
and verify that the following entries have been added.

If they are not there then add them manually:

Add a new system DSN using the correct driver and connect to the Console of IST use this DSN.

If you are using Oracle, you MUST use the Oracle Wire Protocol driver and NOT the driver Oracle standard Merant.
