• Scrolling TEXT 8 AE layer creates text character flicker/jitter

  If your final result is interlaced, then you must move the pixels in the text exactly 2 per image to avoid this jig. If the text contains very fine lines, then you must also choose a font size that is exactly an even number of pixels wide. I usually do this by setting the dialing mode or higher at 800% and adjusting the size, leading and baseline shift. If you hold down the Cmnd/Ctrl key while rubbing the values in the character Panel, you will be able to make fine adjustments.

  Once you have the font size, leading and vertical offset set in the most simple way to animate a smooth roll is an expression. I like this one applied the anchor.

  The speed must be an even number of delivery interlaced and must be one integer for all others. I have it set to 2 which is a nice readable for displays of SD speed.

  If you change speed in the Middle, I suggest you add keyframes for position or anchor point. Just do a little math simple to understand where the key images need to go.  Do not expect to avoid stage fright as the speed changes.

  Once you have set up so they look enough things well adds a motion blur. I suggest about twice the normal quantity for delivery interlace and 3 to 4 times the normal amount for the progressive. This means at least 270 degrees of shutter for interlaced and at least a 360 for the progressive shutter.

  I hope this helps. Rolls of text is never easy to improve. Just look at the end of any movie on TV or in the theater. One day I do a tutorial on the rolls perfect text.

• option mode disappears in the solid layer

  Hello

  I created a solid layer in AE and 3D rendering.  After positioning the layer, I wanted to invoke the command mode of multiplication.  However, although the option to invoke different modes is present when the layer is created, it is no longer available after the positioning of the layer in 3D space.  Is there a way I can call it fashion on a layer to multiply even if it is not available on the menu drop-down?

  I'd be willing to bet that you drew rendered Department put on the market. Blend modes and effects not available with the rendering of traced to the RADIUS.  You should have received a warning when you have activated this rendering engine. There are solutions, but we should see the structure of your composition to guide you through it.

• Form of solid layer messed up

  Hi, I am creating a beam/burst of energy for a project.  I created a form of ellipse on my solid layer, but when I try to develop the form with the tool pen, it becomes a rectangle.  I'm not sure that I was wrong, but here is a screenshot of the problem.   Help would be very appreciated.

  Start from scratch.  Then, double-click the mask to activate the free transform tool.   Drag the top handles to change the shape of the ellipse.

• A solid layer with a masking effect

  Should be easy, as one might think.

  I have a solid layer (white) with applied radio waves effect.  I have the compound effect and that's what I want, but I want to hide only a triangular portion of this layer, creating a form of beam (not eminating in 360 degrees.)

  But my mask has no effect on the effect, if you know what I mean.  I tried to invert the mask and change the mask modes but nothing works.

  Is there a way to hide a layer of form with an effect on it?

  Precompose or nest.

  Apply the triangular masking to the nest.

  Think of it this way, Your ' e make a film about the effect of radio waves, and then import the movie and apply a mask for the movie.

  You can also set the airwaves of the Radio to use forms closed but custom as the source of emission, but it is often more difficult than to simply hide a precomposed nested pr sequence.

• How can I fix a solid layer to a layer of png?

  I have a layer consisting of a sequence of images fixed png with transparent background.  I would cover solid top of it, but DO apply to this layer.  In Photoshop, it is called a clipping mask.  I read about the caches in AE, but I just can't seam to make it work.  This should be simple.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I'm on the latest version.

  another (more versatile) way to get the same effect is to apply this effect to your solid layer and choose the PNG sequence as your mat layer.  Unlike the caches, Matt effect set allows you to designate any layer in your comp as the matte source regardless of the stacking order.

  Wow, we can stop there. I imported a clip of my GH2 test, draggged in the Panel of the sequence (which is the proper name for this window?), clicked on it and it turned dark blue, went to window > metadata ... Analyze is grayed out. The music video plays well, but will not be analyzed.

  I created a site in flash and have encountered a problem. I am using Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3.0.

  I created a text box (for the moment it is dynamic, because I have it scrolling) with text entered in it. I want sections of text hyperlink to other images in the flash animation. The text box is on the 'new' framework - this is a page for archived news. I would like to highlight the pieces of text and create hyperlinks to each archived news stories (each of which is a different image).

  I know how to create text buttons and link them at different times, but I don't want to do this because I want to keep the text box (with hyperlinks in the text) so that I can make this scrolling page.

  I tried to highlight the text and hyperlinks to the frame number, the frame name, the anchor of the frame, CBS... but I can't get anything to work.

  I hope this makes sense and I hope someone will have the time to help me! Thank you

  I saw five videos - lynda on youtube & can't seem to make my loop to work. I hope someone can help me.

  I created a test - key 3 - 2 second long composition 'red zone' - animation with a square / made from a shape layer. I used the Position to make it move.

  LoopOut("cycle") I opt. clicked Position stopwatch & inserted"and as expected that the text became Red to show the term has been applied.

  I created a second composition 10 - he called container - and 'red zone', put on the timeline. But he is not in a loop.

  The composition container ' ' plays 'red zone', because it is 2 seconds and is then virgins for 8 seconds remaining.

  My hope/objective / expected to see the second 2 "red zone"play 5 times within 10 seconds 'container'.

  Someone can tell me what the problem is and how to get the 'red zone' himself to browse looped the 10 second composition "container"?

  You don't have to do the math. Just do the walk cycle comp (and its content), really, really long. Then he'll play as long as you need to in any length of comp.

  Search the time remapping effect in the help files. You could set keyframes for the beginning and the end of your animation and then apply the loopOut expression to the value of the time remapping effect and going to work to do what you want.

  Using the layer style salt described in the link of the Peru Bob, here is a step by step to create this effect:

  

  1. create a new text layer and use the option string to the curve this. Not simplify layer.

  6. copy and paste the selection into a new layer.

  9 Ctrl-click to select only the sparks and fill with red.

  10. If you want to make transparent text so that the sky shows, delete the layer created in step 6 or disable its visibility (as in the example).

  To make the yellow spark:

  11 move the text layer duplicate to the bottom of the stack and repeat steps 3 through 10 with this change alone:

  The scale of the effects use a larger scale for the Red spark.

  Later change a color sparkle, ctrl-click that layer and add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer above it.

  If you want to make a selection of text only, use scriptlistener and ctrl + click on the text layer icon to make the selection. Then, you can use the generated code to use for your race. Or you can use the scriptlistener and create a layer style line.

• Why Adobe Acrobat hangs for a few seconds when first creating text box?

  I use Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.11.

  Usually, whenever I do the first text box after awhile since I finally used Adobe, it hangs for 5 seconds. Would it be a matter of Adobe or a hardware problem?

  These symptoms result from a combination of the internal architecture of Acrobat and your hardware configuration.

  When the first load of Acrobat when you explicitly call Acrobat or when you double-click a PDF file, only the minimum part of the program which is required to view a PDF file is initially loaded into memory. This excludes the required modules to support the myriad of features that supports Acrobat, including forms, preflight, signatures, editing PDF files, etc. What if all the code needed to be charged at time of initial start Acrobat, that the starting time would be too long! However, this additional code is loaded as needed. It is the reason why you see the delay of the first time you create a text box and not for the following text boxes.

  In addition, when you close your last document, Acrobat isn't immediately shutdown. For example, if you double-click a PDF file for a short time after you think that acrobat is is no longer running, it quickly shows your PDF file and even the creation of the first text box will not only delay you previously registered.

  This brings the question of how can you minimize the delay? There are several factors at work here. The first is the amount of memory real you have on your system. If you have many programs running and not a lot of memory, you end up with a virtual memory with the page fly resultant defects requiring operations on disc for you get the memory required by Acrobat and program memory pages that are stored on the disk. Then of course, the speed of your disks makes a difference both dealing with management as well as the portions remaining Acrobat loading of virtual memory needed for editing functions you call. A disk 5400 RPM is much slower than a 7200 RPM drive, which in turn is very slow compared to a SSD (solid state disk). And if you do not have a SSD and your magnetic disk drive is fragmented, more disk performance suffers. Bottom line is that adequate main memory and a disk capacity and speed higher will help. And if your drive is not an SSD, defragment your drive on a regular basis.
