  Hello

  I'm trying to style text using paragraph and character style sheets, I built. When I create a new text box and import text from a Word file, all the text I have import default values to one of my character style sheets. Before importing the text, I have check the cursor inside the empty box and the paragraph style is standard paragraph and character style is 'none '. Yet, when I import text, it is always default to a specific character style I created.

  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  Check your paragraph styles to see that you do not use the nested styles or GREP styles except when you need it. You can have a nested style that does not turn off the coast.

  While your description indicates this isn't the problem, it is worth checking. There is a bug in InDesign, where it applies a default character imported text style. You set the default character style by selecting a character style while no text block is selected and that you not change any text. If there is a default character style, click None for the value None as the default character style.

• Assist in the creation of style sheet please

  Hello, I imported my whole site integrated with GoLive 5 DW CS5. I built a spry menu bar and a header and a footer and put everything on a single page. I tried to save this page in style.css but. I get an error message that page's html when I try to link to a new blank page to it. . I can't understand how to make the page I created in a style sheet so that the code is not on all the pages of my site.  The way I now with all this code on every page is not good for search engines.

  What I need to know is the best way to go back and create a style sheet using the header, the footer and the spry menubar I have already created. My head took hours and hours to create, and so made my drop-so really, I don't want to start from scratch. I'm a business person, not a web developer for any guidance in the right direction would be much appreciated.

  If I do the SSI page, can my web pages always end with htm? (My clients took them bookmarked as htm files, so if I change them, then I guess that their bookmarks wouldn't work, right?

  If your server supports SSIs and .htaccess (do most of Linux servers), you can tell the server to analyze the .htm files as if they were .shtm.  The .htaccess file is in the folder root (even under the name index.htm) and contains the following code.

  AddHandler server .htm

  Also, if I do the SSI page, I'd still do a model or would instead be a model?

  You can use SSIs in place and place models of DW.  Or you can use SSIs inside the DW models.  Depends on the project.  See the link below (thanks, Murray).

• Editing existing text layer...

  Hello

  I am running CS4 on Vista 64-bit and a PS script in Javascript programming...

  I struggle to change an existing layer in a file .psd I open.

  The script is quite simple:

  1. open the .psd file

  2 change the alignment of the content, size, font of the EXISTING text layer

  -> Note: this text EXISTING layer has an applied existing LAYER STYLE

  3. close the file

  Everything works well except the part 2. The reason why I change this EXISTING text layer is, b/c it is already exactly positioned where it should do and the desired layer style is already applied...

  Here is what I tried:

  I. I thought given that the layer is already a LAYER of TEXT it is not necessary to set the TEXT properties once again - I used this code:

  textLayer var docRef.layers = ['text layer ']; define the text existing in a VAR layer
  docRef.activeLayer = textLayer;

  textLayer.font = "regular"; _Aviano
  textLayer.size = 36;
  textLayer.style = "Regular";
  textLayer.antiAliasMethod = AntiAlias.SHARP;
  textLayer.contents = "test change."

  -> Problem: the script runs without error, but the changes are NOT applied.

  II. I defined the existing text layer to be a LAYER of TEXT - I used this code:

  textLayer var docRef.layers = ['text layer ']; define the text existing in a VAR layer
  docRef.activeLayer = textLayer;
  textLayer.kind = LayerKind.TEXT;
  var T1 = textLayer.textItem;
  T1.font = "regular"; _Aviano

  -> Problem: this concerns the changes, BUT the actual text font size applied is 120 (!) - I have to multiply by 0.3 to actually get to 36 and this does not work all the time... very, very strange... I guess it has to do with the fact that redefine us a layer of EXISTING text as a text element...

  III. I have of course...:

  1. create a NEW text layer
  2. apply all my properties

  3. then place it at the exact location where the EXISTING text layer

  Problem: creation and styles (properties) work fine, BUT when I get the coordinates through .bounds and when I apply the [0] and [1] values it does NOT match the position (too high)... applying the [0] and [3] values does NOT either (too low) mtach... I have to split the difference between these two?

  The reason text has not changed in your first example is that you set the font, size, etc to the layer not the textItem prperties. You fixed that in the example following you.

  When you work with pixels, you must assign the baseUnit if the doc is not 72 dpi. Something like that

  UnitValue.baseUnit = UnitValue ((1/docRef.resolution),'in');// the default value is 1/72
  textLayer var docRef.layers = ['text layer ']; define the text existing in a VAR layer
  docRef.activeLayer = textLayer;
  var T1 = textLayer.textItem;
  T1.font = "regular"; _Aviano
  T1. Size = UnitValue (36, 'px');
  T1.style = "Regular";
  T1.antiAliasMethod = AntiAlias.SHARP;
  T1.contents = "test change."

  The size is now 36 pixels. If you do not want to change the baseUnit you can change the resolution as proposed by Xbytor.

  Also if you want to match the position of a text layer, use the property textItem.position instead of the boundaries of the layer.

• Without style sheets are loaded not to the addons site or Manager internal addons. Cannot download addons.

  I tried the solutions such as resetting and reinstalling or Firefox running with disabled modules, but they did not work. everything worked fine with my current setup but now style sheets are not loaded (only the text and a bunch of links on the left side) for some of the pages of Mozilla (including AMO). I open the site by using all the default settings (basic page style/default fonts, etc.) and update of plugins. I don't even see the green background for https in the address bar for the Add-ons site. I have also in the white list Firefox in my Comodo Firewall. Sites load perfectly in chrome.

  Anyone know how to handle this problem?

  I would like to have css files organized in a certain way for the ease of use and DW sometimes join the end and sometimes add to the middle.

  It is quite easy to organize styles in CSS designer. There are several aspects:

  • When a selector is already selected in the pane of selectors, by clicking on the button "+" to create a new selector inserts the new rule of style immediately after the selected one.
  • If you want to move the selectors in your stylesheet, you can drag and drop them in the Panel of selectors. The style rules will be moved to the new location in the style sheet.
  • You can even move a different style sheet style rules. Select the styles that you want to move and begin to drag. Keep the mouse button while dragging on the @Media pane and then drag the style selected on the stylesheet to target in the Sources pane.
  • To adapt a style rule existing for use in a media query, right click on the selector and choose duplicate in the query on the shortcut menu. You can then select the media query in the submenu that appears.

  I found a solution to my problem.

  I can manually create information DW CC 2015 needs to time Design-Style-sheets.

  When this information is then DW CC 2015 use it.

  For example:

  I have the /pages/download.html file and want a design-time-stylesheet for it with the css file in /css/bootstrap.css.

  1 create a _notes folder in the pages of the file.

  2. create a text file named download.html.mno in the _notesfolder.

• Problem affecting the existing paragraph style

  Hi all!

  I have searched all morning and can't find a lot of good documentation on the use of existing scripts paragraph styles to HAVE. I know that you can build a live, but more specifically, I want to add in the tabs and don't see this as an option to add paragraph styles in one of the refs to javascript.

  I do an "export log" that captures the version, date, time, artist name/layers assigned to help our team of quality control. My problem is that any new text added to the box ignores existing paragraph styles, and I do not see so he can apply what I have in the file.

  I can find the style, so I don't know it exists, and I can also draw the text box, so I think that these paths are correct and working, it's just the applyTo seemingly does not. Here is my code below:

• Questions from the media for the Dreamweaver Sites without style sheets?

  Can someone tell me if it is possible to create queries to support for existing websites created in Dreamweaver using the 'design' without style sheets? I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of articles, but they don't show me how to do this without style sheets. Some of these sites are large and it would take me ages each other again start completely from scratch. I am looking for a simple solution.

  I haven't used this product but PVII has excellent customer support.  If you show them one of the pages of your site, I'm sure they can tell you if it will work or not.

  Has zero effect on your images.  The idea here is to put some CSS in a style sheet large site that is shared by all of your HTML pages, so you don't have to resize the images manually.   Do it on a test page to see your results.

  I can't understand how to attach an external style sheet to a web site that was built with the help of a model?

  The page 'dwt' surrounds an editable by the following (see below), but there is no such text around the text that links to the external style sheet. Should there be? If so, is this something that should be done manually?

  Well, got after all it works!

  It turns out that the coding for the style sheet should not be placed in an editable area, which, after thinking about it, makes sense. The idea is to have any adjustments made to the stylesheet of the page of the model appear on all pages of the site, and if it is an editable area would not happen.

  Is there any type of setting style sheet that will allow me to adjust the content several titles with a singular setting?

  You can do this if you change the title in AFX and bind first using Live text.

• CSS referencing of components shared/Cascading Style Sheets

  Apex 4.0

  I was placing my CSS stylesheet in Shared components/Cascading Style Sheets. And reference as follows < link type = "text/css" rel = "stylesheet" media = "screen" href = "#WORKSPACE_IMAGES #app300.css" >.

  For the weeks everything seemed to work very well. Changes to app300.css in Cascading Style sheets. Clear the cache. And see my change.

  But suddenly it has stopped working. Do not take my updates more precisely. I have firebug and look at the file in CSS and don't see my changes. APP300. CSS does not change. Then, I deleted app300.css of Shared components/Cascading Style Sheets. The file is deleted. Is no longer in the Panel of Cascading Style Sheets. But the old file still appears when I look in firebug.

  Just a cramp brain for me. I know it's probably obvious, but I can't understand it.

  If your file always recides in the database, you can try to remove a procedure from the wwv_flow_api package:

  Set serveroutput on

  You can run this SQL developer help / Toad or any program you use, but I don't think that you can run in the SQL for Apex workshop.

  Run as owner of the workspace.

  First part sets the engine apex point to the id of the correct workspace in Apex, change "APEX040000" to match your version of the Apex.

  Second part is the procedure that should remove your file from the database.

  Make sure you post your changes and try to re-download your css file.

• Unable to save text Styles in libraries

  Hello

  I seem to have trouble saving Styles of text to libraries. Whenever I try to add a new text Style, a new item is created, but it is set to Myriad Pro.

  I have no problem of creating images, layer styles or colors. Only text styles that's giving me problems.

  Everyone has a work around / fix for this?

  I guess you didn't mean Myriad Pro.  If you use an existing library, it may have had Myriad Pro in there at some point and is corrupt somehow.

  Create a new library, call to test and remove it after use, put an active guy in the library, open a new document and then drag this type the new document as a test.

• How is - a export a style sheet?

  OK, so where is it?

  Nothing I can find on the menus offer this option reads regular Frame or XML mode.

  Also, when I find it, I need to load css in Dreamweaver? If I should not be able to use the XML view?

  No Colum, I found since then. (In fact I found a video by Bernard l. a. which explains a bit).

  In the module 'Release' are 5 choices (epub, html, etc.) and selecting one highlights a button for settings. Change the settings has TWO tabs, one called Style mappings, which is where the button for import and export styles.

  There a button for Automap paragraph Styles which I will experiment with the next.

• Internal or the external Style sheet labels.

  It of maybe a stupid question, but how do I determine which styles are attached to an internal style sheet or external? I have modified the text and messed up my whole site without realizing that it is attached to an external sheet which was the large site. I can't find an indication in Styles pallate when I click on them, be they internal or external. It's frustrating when you work on a site. No explanation will be appreciated.

  @LarsenGraphiCDesign - there is no real way of panels if the stylesheet has been linked in other files. I suggest you save an enhancement request at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

  To work around the problem - I suggest-

  1. you add a time in one of the css files and save you are presented with an option to update all other html files that are related to the same css.
  2. Move the css to a different location and see what css files is related to

  Which gives you an option to see all the html files associated with the particular css

  But then the first option doesn't work in version the most recent DW, the second should work even in older versions of DW
