Eugene

I juist learned how to do this so I can help you.

In Design Mode, click in your bar menu and then right on the arrow blue option for her. Onder Options/Menu Type Choose all Pages. Then, you will get a menu dropdown showing your submenus.

I can't get with XP and windows 7 with cursor selection to submenus. I click to select and submenu drop-down menu appears, but I can't move the mouse fast enough (well, sometimes I can but it's not easy) to get the menu and select an option. As soon as I move the mouse the submenu of the menu is gone! Where can I fix? It's only a problem being updated apps windows7 more concentrated. I find it quite unbearable. May take 10 minutes to get to click on the desired option.

In windows 7, I have the additional/same with "show hidden icons", but when they appear it is almost impossible to get the cursor there before they disappear.

There will be an option somewhere to fix this, but I can't find where.

  • Trouble with IND, HAVE, PSD and Firefox: track pad, menus drop down, look at one, scroll, etc.

I am running OS X Yosemite with creative cloud. I ran a patch system today with the IND, AI and PSD update. I have the following problems before and after the system and application upates:

    • When opening some HAVE, in the drop-down menu where you select the type of file/size (e.g. print, video, etc.), when I click on the arrow down to expand the dropdown menu, wildly, he travels all options without stopping, and does not allow me to choose an element, even if I try to use text or upper and down arrows on my keyboard.
    • In Firefox, I tried to go to the Adobe forums. When it was time to select the drop down menu to what is the app that I wanted, same problem: uncontrolled scrolling and unable to select an item by using arrows or text input.
    • In IND:
      • Command + 0 or + 1 command do not work: instead the page of document is moved to the left of the screen so that some of the page is removed from the view. This cannot be corrected by using the scroll bar: no matter what I do, the page view bounces on this position.
      • Find and replace: does not. Same issues with menu drop down as mentioned earlier for Amnesty International and FireFox.
      • When you try to use the trackpad, sometimes the document scrolls upwards or downwards without having me any control over it.
    • The creative cloud app: 80% of the time, I can't get it to open. Sometimes, it does.
    • I rebooted, disconnected my external keyboard and monitor, replace the batteries of my mouse and put to update all software.

  • Display the menus drop-down InDesign CC, but tools can be selected - running in El Capitan

I trashed preferences and caches, but this did not help.  I can see the tools (the menu fly out) but I can not choose the tools found in the fly-out.  A little stuck.  Help, please!

Well, I've found a workaround.  Considering that, before, I would choose a tool with the pointer (but who would choose the tool in the menu drop-down), I discovered that if I pressed the option + command (Mac) buttons while selecting the tool on the fly-out, there select the tool and make it active.  So, problem solved immediately.  (In fact, using the keys in this way, I expect to divide all the tools, so they each have their own individual box - I have the screen space to do.)  (If I remember correctly, Adobe Pagemaker (wow, remember that?) lets you do this.)

  • Sub - nav drop-down menu in Muse

How can I create a drop down in Muse on a subpage that is not part of the main navigation? I have a home page called PRODUCTS and on this page, there are 9 images of products. Each will have a bearing that will activate a drop-down for the different selected products. Hope this is clear. Thank you.

Sorry for the delay in the reply and thank you for your help! I finally got it working properly. It took a bit of trickery to me, due to the lack of experience with Muse, but I got it to work they way the customer he envisaged. Thanks again!

  • My menu start and other menus drop-down list are not open.

That last Thursday night, without reason my Start menu and other menus just started to panic.  When I click on them they only stay open for about 1 second Max and now any window that is open to some sort of "flashes" constantly.  I can't understand what this is where what to do.  There was no change in system or a download.  Help, please! Thank you!

Looks like a system file may be corrupt. Microsoft has a tool called the System File Checker that search for missing or damaged system files and tries to fix them.  More information about this tool can be found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833. I recommend this to give a try.

To run this tool Startclick, click all programs -> Accessories. Right - click command prompt, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or click allow.  Type sfc/scannow in the black box and press enter.

  • What do the letters in menus drop down to the tools?

    Screen Shot 2016-02-02 at 4.33.17 PM.png

    These small letters - U, W, S, etc..

T seems to be of Type

    P looks like Pen

Selection arrows have an "a". For the arrow?

I first learned my tools in PS2.5, so I'm a bit confused with all these "last cry" < g > improvements.

If you want tools in a group via the keyboard shortcut, then hold down the SHIFT key and press the letter of the tool shortcut.

  • The drop down menus work intermittently; all add-ons are disabled.

When I run the cursor over a menu item; File, Edit, history, etc., the drop down menu does not decrease. If I click on the menus, drop down menus will appear and then disappear. If I continue to do this for several seconds, the menu will be displayed when selected. I'm having the same problem with this help screen when I do a right-click with the mouse.

    Thanks - Mike F.

In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  • The mouse only works in the active window and cannot select drop-down menus (W7)

    Hello

I can't understand what is the cause. I can only select things in the active window with my mouse, I can't move the window, I can't click on anything whatsoever outside of it.

ATM by writing this, I can not open another program or select the bar of tasks or do anything outside that window. (unless I use CTRL-ALT-DEL and force to select a new active window with my keyboard)

Another thing is that everything works within the window, except one thing, menus drop down, I can bring up the menu drop-down but can not select anything on the menu.

I reinstalled windows to do this same thing. I can't understand why windows doesn't let me choose some things outside my main window, it's that I'm sort of protected mode.

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

    -What is laptop or desktop?
-What is the brand and model of the mouse? Is it wired or wireless mouse?
-Have you tried plugging the mouse on another computer?

Method 1: I would also say you update the drivers for the mouse on the computer and check if it helps.
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

Method 2: Also, I suggest you use Microsoft Safety scanner to make sure that your computer is free from malware and check if it helps.
    Microsoft safety scanner
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for the use of antivirus software that offers continuous protection. For a real-time protection that helps you keep your home or small office PC against viruses, spyware and other malicious software, download Microsoft Security Essentials.
Method 3: I suggest you try to check with the other mice to make sure that the problem is not with the computer.

If it is a laptop, I suggest you to check if a FN key function is to to do this. As you are facing the issue after reinstalling the operating system, I also suggest you check with the manufacturer of the computer, if there is this key.

    Hope this information helps.
  • Drop-down list menu pasted on the screen - Windows 7

    Hello

Few other coworkers recently experienced an annoying glitch in Windows 7: having access to drop down / context menus and when they chose something (say: do right click on desktop--> customize, for example) and select 'Customize' "stuck" to the screen in the exact same place it has been clicked. Now, out of nowhere, my PC (Windows 7) started having the same problem. All of our PC, some to work and my own at home, are machines performing with more than enough RAM (16 GB, Intel Core i7-2600 processor 3.40 GHz) and good GPU (mine is Geforce GTX 580 1536 MB of memory GDDR5, others may be a little older but still good for today, for game purposes).

After searching for information for a bit, I realized that it is a problem more common that I first thought, some forum discussions go until 2008 (Windows XP SP2 and SP3). Now, I also found a few solutions more or less work, a more or less temporary nature. It comes to change the resolution of the screen and then return to the original, flipping the screen upside down and some a bit more advanced:
"Start - run -"tskill dwm"or kill DWM. EXE from the Task Manager, it restarts instantly with gone menu items. "(as written on a forum thread)

Now, some people find help in one or two of these solutions, some are may not be not as lucky. For me, thread of TheDr1ver.comgave the 'response '. You go to computer (right click)--> Properties--> Advanced--> settings system settings... (running)--> uncheck "Fade out menu after clicking items on"--> OK. What this does, I think, is to reduce the "eye-candy" on the transitions of the elements on the screen or something like that. He helped my case but we're also the right click menus drop-down weird in a way that if I come up with the right button and does not move the pointer of the mouse, the menu appears as a transparent and only after I move the mouse pointer, it will become fully visible. At the moment I'm OK with that. This is better than having a drop of 'Properties' to the bottom of the element stuck on my screen.

However, what intrigues me is that this problem has persisted for many years. And there was a lot of discussion on this topic. My question is: why Microsoft did not something to solve this problem? I can't live without the eye-candy on my OS I appreciate performance over Visual tricks, but I don't have to change the settings for a lesser visually 'version' when my PC has the muscle to run it with all the eye-candy. As much as it came out of the Blue: the only thing I changed in my PC in recent weeks has been the new drivers for Geforce. And even after installing new drivers weren't graphics bugs in Windows. This glitch "menu drop-down stuck" happened without warning of any kind. The same thing happened to my co-workers. One day, you start your computer and what is happening.

I'm going to say here that answers such as "turn off Aero", 'disable all Visual effects' do not apply because they weren't a problem a few days that they were not a question every day since I bought this computer. We (and I mean many people with this parasite, annoying their death) need a good answer, a patch, something that will deal with the issue once and for all.

    My rig:
    Processor Intel Core i7-2600 3.40 GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
    16 GB of RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580, (1536 MB) GDDR5
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

PS Sorry if my post sounds hard towards the end, but this problem has been so persistent over the years to an official solution that does not require the Central PCs disable Visual features of the OS just to operate normally. Especially since the problem occurs randomly.

I was having the same problem recently and wonder if it's something with the GeForce drivers.

Someone having this problem (not nvidia) have another video card?

I just tried reinstalling my drivers to see if that fixes anything.

Edit: reinstalling the driver solves the problem.

The fix that worked for me:

Control Panel, system, advanced system settings.

Advanced tab, click settings in terms of Performance.

Uncheck the disappearing menu items after clicking on.

Restart the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service updates the desktop computer to remove all existing ghosts too.

Throughout this forum, we explain that you should stay away from the absolute and relative position elements. Yet once I would say STAY AWAY FROM ABSOLUTE AND RELATIVE ELEMENTS PACKING.

To illustrate this, remove id = "floatdiv" in the menu container and you'll see that the menu works. OK, the menu do not seek as you wish, but this can easily be corrected with appropriate CSS.

  • Display a drop-down list value

Easy question for someone. Difficult question for me. I tried to have a textField display the display value in a drop-down list that is filled with a script based on a selection of button radio. I have a problem with the text field to display something else then the value of the drop-down list selection. I tried the 'value' instead of rawValue but I'm having no luck. Can someone help me?

    Hello

When it comes to drop-down lists, there are two properties that are at stake. If you have specified the values in the object > linking the palette, then the .rawValue will have access to the bound value.

What you are after is the display value of the drop-down list (for example, what the user sees).

    Here is an example:

  • Navigation - drop down menus

I have a vertical navigation bar on the right side of my home page. The submenus are right instead of below the main menu item. On smaller screens, this puts the buttons off the screen. Is there not a way to move the drop menu drop down so it goes down below the main menu item?

Sub menus of a vertical navigation menu will only display on the right side, unfortunately you can not change this setting.
