CRM Workflow notification on the approach to the closing date

Hello

I want to configure a workflow that leans on the closing date in an opportunity record, and when there are 2 days, until the closing date specified in the opportunity record workflow will send an email to the owner of the opportunity... and then repeat when there is 1 day left...

The notification e-mail turns out to work, but the notification is sent when the triggering event (that I put to when a new record is created)... I installed an Action expected before the e-mail notice of ' until when '-Expression Date time [< CloseDate >] - ("2D")... (Note: I tried [< CloseDate >] - period("2D") as well, but that didn't prove to be successful either.)

Any direction would be very useful.

Thank you.

  • e-mail notifications and notifications to the application

    Hello

How to stop email notification so that when notifications are released, users receive emails, but they should be able to see when they connect to the application.

The reason being to limit notifications by e-mail in a time of development.

    Thank you

There are several ways I can think to do-

    1. change the global mail (for all users) NOMAIL

Responsibility to use process management Web Applications, go to Notifications, and then click Administration tab, Style of Notification (in the global preferences) set to "Disabled" or "don't send me mail.

    2. define a test email address so that all notifications are sent to this address to test.

Use the responsibility of Administration system, browse to, click workflow, Service components, on Workflow Notification Mailer, the button "Set Override Address" and follow the instructions in the wizard.

3 turn off (disable) race of Notification Mailer.

Use the responsibility of the Administration of the system, access the Workflow components, Workflow Notification Mailer option button, select "suspend" on the right, click OK

  • Impossible to find a solution to control the next dates on multiple instances of the entity.

    Hello

I have a simple scenario. I have two instances of an entity that match two records of a component of bussiness in Siebel. I need to put a validation that the date of the end of an instance is the eve of the start date of the other.

Using the functions Nextdate() etc. can be useful within the same instance, but the way to check on multiple instances?

    Any suggestion is welcome.

If you want to exclude from the last instance, there are two options. You can set a Global attribute to the start date of the last session, for example

the date of beginning of last session = InstanceMaximum (sessions, the start date of the session)

... then use this attribute as a filter in your other rules. If there are some things where you want to run the logic on the same subset of instances (e.g., the subset that excludes the last instance), then it might be useful to create an inferred relationship:

    1. in the properties file, create one-to-many relationship overall to the session. (Relationships that will be deducted must always be on many-to-many.)

    2. give the new relationship a unique and descriptive name for example 'the sessions (excluding the last session) '.

    3. write a membership rule to determine which instances of the entity are part of the new relationship, for example

the session is a member of the sessions (excluding the last session), if

    start date of the session< the="" start="" date="" of="" the="" latest="">

    4. When you want to redo the subset of instances of logic, use the relationship 'the sessions (excluding the last session)' rather than 'the sessions', for example

the end dates of the sessions are valid if

ForAll (sessions (excluding the last session), the session end date is certain)

Using the cross-entity argument version of my example above, the following rule could be set to TRUE:

the end dates of the sessions are valid if

ForAll (sessions (excluding the last session), the session end date is certain)

Whereas this rule would have the value FALSE:

the end dates of the sessions are valid if

ForAll (sessions, the closing date of the session is certain)

I hope that gives you enough to continue their career with your specific scenario!

  • How to display the page OAF readonly in Workflow Notification

    Hello Experts,

I'm trying to display a page of the OFA in the body of the notification, this page is read-only and gets the setting. I created an attribute of workflow with the type as a document, target of the image in full window and the value as "JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?" "OAFunc = < the OA function name > & TransactionId = - & TRANSACTION_ID-

When running workflow for this notification, get the error message as no data found, instead of the page.

Know that we can create a common region OFA and appear the same in his notification, but is it possible with the OPS page? Please suggest where I am missing here!

    Thanks in advance!

    Deepak,

I doubt that you can do this. Why not simply use a region instead of the Page? You try to view a page within a page?

  • Any way to further customize the workflow notifications?

    Hey all,.

I received this question MANY of my clients of BC, so I thought I would check with the BC community. Is it possible to further customize the workflow notifications?

I know that in e-mail notification of workflow by default, webform submissions appear using {tag_formsummary}. This works well for the average contact form, but for more complex presentations (I have clients using Web forms for online employment applications and detailed quote requests), it would be great to be able to organize shipments of form in a way to make it a little more readable.

I know that it comes a bit out-there, but I had this conversation enough times with customers frustrated that I thought I'd ask!

    Thanks in advance!

    Angela

    1. you have the workflow notification email presentation you can change, but as you note form results itself at the moment you cannot edit.

    2. with the new rendering engine and the liquid, you can run a collection on the results of the form online and customize the output for the site, but not emails

    3. the order of the fields of a form in the effects of the admin what things like form results go out.

    4. SOME limited CSS of substitutions for SOME email clients may be made on form results

Not much. And you probably already read it making your digging as you did. Other then the site stuff you can do, nothing has changed in terms of what you can do with e-mail.

    All,

can someone please check if I read this correctly, and if not, please let know us a way to change this default name.

In my view, Workflow Mailer of Notification of name change is not possible - if you go to (System Administrator > Oracle Application Manager > Workflow > components Service > Workflow Notification Mailer > Edit) you will find that the name cannot be changed.

What is the reason behind the rename "Workflow Notification Mailer"?

It's something that you can't add right now. You can change the layout a little notification of workflow of the system, but you cannot change the topics at this time to render a system like that tag.

  • Anyone know how to recover the deleted data from CRM?

I have a site that I've cleaned cases - only to find out that deletion case deleted the actual data.  I always thought of the case as a 'Notification' Center of sorts and didn't delete the case removed all the actual data from the database.  I need to get that data recovered - I searced every forum and the Help Center and I have sent BC Support, but I just wanted to check to see if anyone has come across this problem before.

Hey there. No, cases are an essential part of the CRM, of forms for example are stored even in the case. Workflow notification emails are simply the notification.

Just, you see what said support BC but do not expect that you will get the return data.

  • Initiation form of different workflows depending on the type of inquiry?

I have difficulties to get a form to start different workflows depending on the type of investigation. I followed the instructions described here without success.

I created two workflows: ID746065 and ID746066. Each workflow sends a notification e-mail to the various departments. I have the following code in my form:

    "< select name = WorkflowList" class = "cat_dropdown" >

    "< option value =" ">--please select--< / option >".

    < option value = "ID746065" > notify sales < / option >

    < option value = "ID746066" > notify Marketeing < / option >

    < / select >

    It does not work.

In the Site Manager = > Web Forms = > Web form properties = > use the workflow, I 'not to use a workflow' selected. Is this correct? I want the form to select the workflow. If I change "Use Workflow" to one of my Workflows, it send an email, so I know the Workflows are correct. How can I get the form to dynamically select the workflow?

I don't think you need to 'ID' before the workflow ID number.

  • How to send notifications of the auto

Is it possible to send automatically updated content notifications. I have a data space and wish to set up a distribution that informs just specific changes without having to subscribe to the item. Tried a workflow, but which requires action on their part (accept, reject, etc.) and I just sent advice changes.

You're thinking about subscriptions 'base' where the user must subscribe manually.  It would be difficult to force a user to go and actually subscribe.

What we really need is a subscription "criteria".  Administrators have the ability to create a subscription based on one or more meta attributes and affects users or aliases to receive notification. The user is not required to action anything, they just get a notification.

  • Workflow fails on the wait Timer

I have a created workflow that generates a snapshot of a VM, notifies the user by e-mail that the snapshot was created, and then going into a timer waiting for a period of 2 weeks before checking if the snapshot still exists and to notify the user that they must remove the snapshot. So buckle up every day notify the user that the snapshot should be removed until the snapshot no longer exists.

For most of the time, the workflow works as expected, however, I find that one or two workflow running fails from time to time. The schema of the execution of workflow shows workflow failed on the timer standby (which I checked has a valid date/time value assigned to the input of energy). When I view the events for the workflow, it has 3 events, Workflow has started, workflow is suspended and Workflow failed. When you select the workflow does not event, the description is "Workflow has been issued by a task, the workflow runtime does not be resumed" (I guess that 'being' = 'summer' in the message). In addition, when the workflow fails, it never runs the exception workflow that is configured to send me an email notification with the information of errors/exceptions.

Does anyone have ideas, what could be causing this failure? I noticed that the failure occurs most often after that the Orchestrator function has been restarted.

    Hello

In fact, the behavior you observe is not random and should somehow. Currently all the workflows that are opened by an i.e., scheduled task are not included on the reboot of the server. The centre of the spot is responsible. The reason is that it could happen that such a workflow can be started at the same time to resume from the point it was suspended and centre/Task Manager. So, if the workflow should he resume the server restarts.
Other hand the reboot of the server, the Task Manager will hold the following logic:
1.1 if it is a recurrent task task manager will calculate the next execution time and is scheduled to run.
1.2 If the task is not recurrent, i.e. it is a one time task there are two options:
1.2.1 the execution time is not spent - then the task is scheduled for execution.
1.2.2 the execution time already - spent, we will in two other options:
1.2.2.1 the task has been configured on "Start if scheduled in the past" and has not yet been completed - the task is scheduled to run once.
1.2.2.2 the task has been configured for "do not start if scheduled in the past ', or is already completed - the task ends with error and the workflow will not be executed.

I guess in your case, the workflow is scheduled (started from a task) and that's why he is unable to return to restart the server. If the workflow is not recurring to work around the problem, you can configure the task scheduled as "Start" If in the past You can do this with access from the client to the Scheduler->-> Edit (photo attached). This will lead to the execution of the workflow from the beginning on the reboot of the server if the workflow has already been launched but was not complete or suspended in the middle.
