  • How to analyze a specific record of the existence of a PDF file before you save it

I created a function of level of folder for saving a file by passing a name and a path.  The problem is that I don't want the user to be able to replace a file of the same name.  I would rather add a version number to its name, so I can keep track of the evolution of the form.

I think of a script to analyze the case of the occurrence of a file and returns something or throws an error.  I've experimented with app.browseForDoc (), but I don't want the dialog box to display.

I would use a / while loop to add a version number and then find the file until I get a return value specific error indicating that the file is missing (or in my case that the name is not already in use).

Finally, a simpler implementation much has been to add a simple time stamp on the file name when registering, it prevents overwritng & bonus, it keeps a record of the evolution of the file over time.

  • The analysis of the PDF file cannot be printed

    Hello

    I have a Mac running Mac Os X 10.7.3

    I bought a HP officejet PRO 8500 A910.

The printer is installed and works very well if one want to print a document or an image. The scanner also works.

    BUT there is a problem.

When I scan a document into my HP scanner to a PDF file. This PDF file may not print. When I send it to the computer, can read also on screen, but not print.

The printer gives an error: impossible to secret PostScript file. (see screenshot).

Can someone help me? I want to scan usable PDF documents that can be printed by anyone.

    Thank you.
    Erik

I think that the best solution would be to scan from your Mac.  Use the image transfer application in your Applications folder.

No, it's a phishing attempt - you can transfer to Apple: [email protected] and then delete him.

  • Currently, I have Acrobat XI, but am ready to upgrade if my problem can be solved. I want to be able to say that a PDF file can be printed only ONCE. Is this possible.

Currently, I have Acrobat XI, but am ready to upgrade if my problem can be solved. I want to be able to say that a PDF file can be printed only ONCE.

I create and sell books. Asked me to create and sell PDFs of books. While it is easy, if I sell a PDF, there is nothing which could prevent the company to send the PDF autour and everyone by printing.

So, I'm looking for a solution to this problem.

Hoping that there is a solution.

The upgrade will not help. No version of Acrobat can do that.

The only way this is possible (and I'm still not 100% sure on this subject) is using DRM technology, which is very expensive.

  • How to configure Adobe Reader to the default program to read PDF files after you install Adobe Acrobat?

How to configure Adobe Reader to the default program to read PDF files after you install Adobe Acrobat? I have a few other programs that need to use Adobe Reader showing 'photo' that are PDF files, and after the installation of Acrobat, it is Acrobat that opens automatically, with a message whenever Acrobat cannot be used for this and will be closed, and then the Player opens. I don't like having to see this message every time... Thank you! :-)

    Hi anne-grethea26777033,.

You can do CD player as your default application by browsing in Edition > Preferences > under categories, select the "Général" and at the bottom of the window, you must select an option which reads "set as default PDF Manager" under the label of startup application and click OK.

Let us know if that helps.

    Hi Dave,.

The location is ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common to be exact.

Make sure that you type the TILDE (~) key.

When in the Finder, click the go > go to folder... > Type ~/Library and navigate to Application Support/Adobe/Common

    Thank you

  • I have Adobe Reader XI with the package that allows me to send a PDF file and convert PDF files to Word. When I open a pdf file and you try to find the search shows no match, even if the word I'm looking for is in the document. Suggestions how to search?

I have Adobe Reader XI with the package that allows me to send a PDF file and convert PDF files to Word. When I open a pdf file and you try to find the search shows no match, even if the word I'm looking for is in the document. Suggestions how to search?

A scanned document is an image; You can't find a picture.

If the image contains text, recognition of characters (OCR) will convert the 'text' in the image in real text (searchable, editable).

OCR can be performed automatically when converting a PDF to Word, using the ExportPDF service.

To run OCR inline in a PDF document, you will need Acrobat.

My Photosmart HP 7520 now trys to save the PDF file instead of print it when I try to print it - it printed previously. What should I do to get it to print rather than life-saving?

Clear the PRINT TO FILE option in Acrobat or Adobe Reader. It will be somewhere in the print dialog boxes.

  • Is there anyway to make Acrobat DC Pro (Win) pop up a warning dialog box before you print a PDF file?

We have several very large PDFs on our web site that some want to have access to print. We don't mind them print the PDF files, but want to warn with a dialog box pop up that PDF files are hundreds of pages.  Is this possible with Acrobat Pro DC?

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hello

It's absolutely to do a custom pop dialog that warn you when there is a big pdf for printing.

However you will need JavaScript to create a code to perform this function.

You can see the following link for the same.

  • When you open a PDF file, it automatically prints & switches to full screen mode

First of all, I apologize if it's in the category wrong forum - I couldn't find a category that corresponds to this number, something like 'implementation of the software.

I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 10.  The software works very well.

However, whenever I open a PDF file, the software automatically opens a dialogue box invites me to print the PDF file.  Usually I do not want to print the PDF and have quit the dialog box.  Second, once I left out of the print dialog box, the software invites me to indicate that if I want to put the document in view full screen, which usually I don't want to do and to get out of it, I have to leave another dialogue box.

I don't want to get out of these dialogs whenever I open a PDF file.  I just want to see the PDF file.  That's all.

How can I configure the software so that it does not prompt me for that?

First of all, even if works well, Acrobat 9 is not officially compatible with Windows 10, so some problems are to be expected.

However, the behavior that you describe is usually caused by a script or parameters incorporated into the files you open, not in the application itself.

Try to download the driver from 990c and see if that helps.
    1. click on Start Menu
    2. choose the devices and printers
    3. click on add a PRINTER
    4. LOCAL PRINTER
    5. Select USE the EXISTING PORT (the port of your printer is turned on)
    6. another window will open. Left side (choose HP). Right side, (choose DESKJET 990c)
If you do not see the 990c, click WINDOWS UPDATE in the lower part.

After you download the driver, try to print the pdf.
