Crop in ACR tool

What became of the "customized" in ACR crop tool? The only option now is for a custom report? What happened to the custom culture of size/resolution function?

This post belongs to the Camera Raw Forum, but I'll answer anyway...

The crop tool now works in reports only. I think that this has been done to support a resolution independent workflow, which allows creating multiple images for production workflows (print, web, video...).

You can always control the size and resolution, but it has been moved from the workflow Options dialog box, which opens when you click the text underlined in blue at the bottom of the Camera Raw dialog box. You can use resizing options made to output an image or a batch to specific contexts of size and resolution, which in many ways is more flexible than the way that he used to work. Also, it is now more compatible with its operation in Lightroom.

  • Why Adobe user interface designers did ruin the crop PS 6 tool?

I had to pay for each upgade to PhotoShop since version 2.5 on a Mac SE 30. Now the essential tool, the crop tool, is totally broken. Did someone at Adobe today still a photographer or designer? How can I make you see the error of your ways? Please contact me.

RPCb, I guess that it is intrinsically integrated people so that they resist change.  I know that I had a bit of a rice field with the new crop tool, but the habit of it, I must say that it is a major improvement on the former crop tool.  Unfortunately, the excellent title for Lynda.com news by Haissem Ben Achour is no longer visible without subscription, but there are a multitude of tutorials out there.  The first condition in this list lacks the feature address, and the fact that you bring up the missing resolution options by pressing the 'r' after that you begin to drag one of the handles.

  • Cannot remove an Aspect custom cropping LR3.2 tool

I accidentally created a stupid custom appearance.  Does anyone know how to remove it?

I can't believe that they have created an opportunity for a user to enter something in the program without

creating a method of deletion but I was not able to find where it is stored.

It will roll off the power if you enter others, I think that the last 5 are kept. It is stored in the catalog, in Adobe_variablesTable where name = 'Adobe_customCropAspects '.

I also find a bit strange that there is no "recent aspects of clear custom culture". Why don't you produce a request feature for it?

  • PS CC in Camera Raw: don't see tools to crop or straighten. [was: Camera Raw]

in my current CC PS in Camera Raw do not see tools to crop or straighten tool, what happened to them, have been hidden somewhere?

If you are in PS and using the Camera Raw filter on a layer, then it will not, because you can make them with Photoshop operations.

If you are in the PS plug in Camera Raw on the way in the PS, it must include these.

  • My crop tool is not visible in the Premiere Pro effects controls.  Where would it be?

I just download Premiere Pro CS6 and all this so far.  When I go on the controls of effects to crop a graphic tool "Cropping" does not appear as it is simply not there.  To be clear, that he is not there, no selection for a menu drop-down.   Y at - it somewhere that I need access to show or what?  The motion, opacity, scale, etc. are all showing as an option, but not the crop tool.

Have you tried to actually apply the crop effect to the image so that the effect will be displayed in the effect controls panel?

  • Tool crop rotation not as good as the tool sets

I like the features built into the crop since CS6 tool, but I have a major problem that I can't find any comment or resolution on. Basically, if I flip an image using the crop tool, I find horizontal and vertical tend to be jagged, as if the anti-aliasing very rough had been applied.

If I flip the same image using the ruler tool, vertical and horizontal lines appear smooth and correct. They appear in fact straight, not serrated.

The result is that I have to leave the crop tool, jump into the ruler tool, make my rotation (which almost always brings a vertical or horizontal return to true), and then return to the crop tool.

No one knows why this happens?  She appeared in CS6, and now I use CC it's all the same.  Is there a fix, I do something wrong?

    Kind regards

    Steve Donoghue

Yes, the rule, just tool rotates the image and does not give you an overview as the crop tool.  Until graphics cards become even more robust, the PS will have to create an image of low resolution for a quick overview.  There are many tools in PS that, like the transformation.  It would be nice to intensive process to give feedback in real time with these tools.

  • Crop tool changes its orientation

I have a cropping preset guidance tool landscape size, I took photos for a book: data merge, I do every year. With CS6, I noticed something new and annoying; If I move the cropping tool too far to the left, it automatically changes the acreage of portrait. If this is supposed to be a feature, it's a unwelome plus one. If my screening of harvest is landscape, it's what I want. I would like to know if there is a way to disable this "feature".

Have you tried changing the setting tool of harvest to use Classic mode. I don't know if it will do the trick. CS6 cropping tool has been reworked. Many do not like to rework it?

  • Crop Ratio camera Raw / Scott Kelby Book for Digital Photographers

Of the book by Scot Kelby regarding the use of Camera Raw.

Chapter 2. WWF Raw: Camera Raw essence > cropping and straightening

If you reopen your picture cropped again in Camera Raw, you'll see the cropped version. To bring the cultural border, simply click on the crop tool. To remove the crop altogether, tap on the Esc or Delete (PC: Backspace) key on your keyboard (or choose clear Crop the pop-up menu of the crop tool). If you want your cropped a photo size exact (such as 8 × 10, 13 × 19″, etc.), choose Custom the pop-up menu of the crop tool to bring up the dialog box you see here. You can choose to crop in inches, pixels or cm.

In this topic, Scott Kelby explains Crop Ratio ACR 7.x

In this version, there is the possibility for the crop Ratio and inches, CM and pixel. With the new version, however this option is no longer available.

I hope that this will sure be some of you time looking for this.

The ACR 8, the crop tool only crops a report now. You can always convert/save off Camera Raw to specific units of measure, but which is now in the Options dialog box of the workflow (the box that appears when you click the text underlined in blue at the bottom of the Camera Raw dialog box). It is usually a good change, especially to be displayed in an environment more or the resolution of the images.

  • Lightroom 6.6 Menu is not in line with the buttons

After the upgrade to Lightroom 6.6 part of the menu do not align with the buttons.  For example, when you use the crop and straighten tool, next to the "Aspect" If you click on 'Original', a menu will appear with different options.  Before the menu seems very close to where I clicked, but since this last update it shows up in the lower left corner (essentially the opposite side of the screen).  See the screen capture below attached.

Note that this happens with everything except menu for windows menu bar items (IE IE file, modify the work correctly, but others such as the Balance of whites, lenses, ect. correction show this problem).

I don't know if that's a bug or an intervention of the strange apparatus that causes this problem.  I work on a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, so the screen resolution is 1800 x 3200.  It is also a touchscreen and 10 Windows running.    Note: I've also uninstalled and reinstalled lightroom, without modification.  Any help with this annoying problem would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Resize all pages in a PDF to the same dimensions (height, width)

I have a big PDF file of several hundred pages in which all the pages have slightly different dimensions. I want to resize these pages in such a way that they will all have the same dimensions. I tried to do it with the crop in Acrobat tool, but if I get all pages in one fell swoop, the resulting dimensions of the page will always be the same for all pages. I can't get page dimensions the same if I harvest each page separately, which is not really fun to do with a 300-page document. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to do this in one fell swoop? I can always crop (rare) pages that do not perfectly match thereafter.

    Hi Bronwater,

You can print to the Adobe PDF printer to a desired page size, but it will flatten your PDF & the other option is going to be trimming the PDF file.

    Kind regards

  • Move content in public services (500 pages) Bills left on the page

I have an electricity bill 500 page that is printed to PDF of my billing company.  By post, I need to move the barcode on environ.25 inches on the left because it is too close to the edge when the Bill carved out in a postcard.  If I could move all the contenu.25 inches, which would actually solve the problem.

If I just had one page, I might select and manually move the content but for 500 which is too intensive time.

I look forward to suggestions.  Thank you

    Hi idenise,

Use the Crop function in tool Page organize. You can set the page margin left a.25 inches.

  • Keyboard shortcut to switch from the point of view of culture and harvest

I often change between Perspective culture and harvest all working on a group of images.  I know that I can easily switch between the two with my rodent, but I prefer a keyboard shortcut. 'C' switches to the current type of the harvest, but often is not the one I want.

Y at - it a keyboard shortcut to switch between crops?

Some examples after all editing is done. .

I typically work on 3-4 images for a single image. In the first, I use agricultural Perspective for squares to the top of the image. In the second, and others, I use a normal harvest. I'm in class for a group of more than 100 executives.

    fe953.jpg

    fe953-1.jpg

You can configure it by editing keyboard shortcuts.

I use K for cropping and C tool for perspective cropping tool.

  • change of culture elements in LR CC mobile

How to change the elements of the harvest of a crop of the landscape to a portrait of cultures in the new LR CC mobile? Anyone know? 5.7 LR has allowed me to tap the button report l / h, but that is no longer available with the new menu system. Help appreciated.

I informed exactly this bug Adobe Support Online a few days ago as the guys on the line of support also could not understand. They told me that this would be given to the team of engineering a solution, but I have heard no response. With this bug, the tool is pretty useless selection and crop my first sweep through thousands of photos. I hope so corrections Adobe has as soon as POSSIBLE.

In addition to this, I would add even two extra weird things, that they have changed.

    1. If you want to crop a picture in the previous version, I had to simply type the crop and then tool Select image format, maybe tap proportions again to change the orientation from landscape to portrait fundraising. Now, to crop an image that I type the crop tool, then press the pop - up Aspect Ratio, then select the ratio. Fact that for thousands of images will now have some extra time.

    2. details of the side/flag have been removed from the main editing screen and force me to go back (tap three small buttons) in order to see them, which is very annoying.

I strongly suggest Adobe please revisit these "improvements"... the previous provision worked much better. FIX the bug of agricultural guidance as pop up extra longer and make reappear the right after typing the Crop function in main menu (which has need of two modes of Flip or rotation).
